You nailed it with Tamera. It's her personality, its a little softer. She reminds me of me when I'm being free and in the moment. She says "sissy". she makes funny faces at people to lighten the mood, she cries at the drop of a hat. And lucky duck gets to do that all day, every day in her job. Also, with the exact same resources and raw material she always adds an extra touch to her look that her sister doesn't. I'm stanning, but I've been a fan of both girls since grade school.
Not to say she can't be annoying or make issues out of thin air, but I like how she interacts with her husband. She is totally in control of that show but he does all the lifting to give her exactly what she wants. On the show she displayed zero moments of true compromise, whereas Tia's husband seemed a little off put by her actions and demands. You could see the power dynamics in Tia's marriage.
On confidence: I've learned it will never be perfectly there. I have moments, more and more often and longer moments. But it's still shake-able. Just forgive everything and keep it moving. And.... look back at what you've overcome. Don't beat yourself up about looks, men, work, etc, mistakes. Just take it as a learning experience and move forward. When you are ready things will change.
On pearls: WEAR THEM!
On pantyhose: I love it, In Texas I forget about them as they are mostly useless but nothing is more feminine than a good pair of pantyhose. When lived on the east coast I used to love buying a good expensive pair and hand washing them and hanging them to dry... I think there is a scene like that in a Marilyn Monroe movie.
On dominance: I'm also the oldest, work in an analytical field with mostly men, tend to be a rock for my family. Learning how to switch my energy helped quite a bit and that has since morphed into expressing these traits through a feminine lens. Which has made me more powerful at work, because I connect with everyone. So I may not have the skill set yet or experience but it speaks volumes about your professional value when people specifically ask to work with you. And of course helped with my personal relationships. For instance, even though my mom may ask me for advice or money, submitting to her role as mother and being a feminine daughter has brought out an amazing depth to our relationship.
