I started using Loreal Smooth intense because of my man. And I have him using Aveda Universal styling cream.

But, I could NEVER deal with a guys that stays in the mirror. :nono: My man washes/conditions or cowashes (yes he does this :)), puts on some Aveda USC, airdries and puts it in a ponytail. Nothing more. He gets me to keep it cut at the same length every now and again, but that's it.

I could not deal with no pretty boy in the mirror asking me for my products all the time. :nono:
My ex has long hair and i love(ed) it! His hair is a lot longer than mine. His hair is like a 2a also (he's Colombian) He is very simple with his hair. Simply cowash, (very little) gel, low ponytail That's it. I've always loved guys with long hair! I think it takes a really masculine kind of guy to pull it off.

I agree. I love my man's hair. I just wish mine would grow as fast! :nono: I have to cut his hair often.

If I was totally bald headed then maybe I would date a guy with longer hair than me. But at my length? No I could't see myself being with a guy with longer hair. Too girly for me. I don't date girly men.

It doesn't matter to me. My boyfriend started growing his hair out before I started growing mine. He doesn't have a girly haircut, so eh whatever. He has naturally super curly hair, so he has to straighten it or he has some sort of fro deal. Uhh, for the record he doesn't want like bsl hair or anything. 0.0

Yeah...My yummiest boyfriend before my husband had waist length hair. He left a conservative job in Manhattan with a crew cut to go to Canada to help his Dad on his farm. One year later...gorgeous waist length hair. He was already handsome, but with that hair and his height he was a traffic-stopper!

What she said ^^^

Theres a thin line between metrosexual and straight up homosexual....I dont like overly groomed men. :nono:

is there really? or is this "thin line" only based on a stereotypical view on masculinity & homosexuality. because it seems "metrosexual" is being linked with homosexuality because they share the same so-called behaviours people stereotype gays as having (e.g - taking an interest in appearance beyond which society deems "normal" for a man). i'm not saying there is no truth in the fact that they are eccentric gay men but in reality there are many gay men that would appear like a typically straight man and vice versa. personally, i think society's construction of homogenised masculinity can be dangerous and stifling for many men.

...anyway, on a man i don't like hair that's too long; neck length is my limit. i have a thing for [modern] rockers so that's probably why. i also like the huge white boy jew-fros. on black guys, i love locs and fros but not dusty looking ones. generally though, i prefer shorter hair.

I voted "No". :nono: I like my men to be bald. Anything other than a bald head or a bald fade are unattractive to me.

It depends, DH used to have shoulder length hair and in one of his old pictures he had a fade and it looked so good that one day to surprise me he cut it, and then after watching "last samurai" I let it slip that I think he would look sexy with a nice long ponytail, looking like some sexy asian tribal warrior or something. He said I'm impossible to please.:lachen:

I could, and I have. My first love had waist-length (he was 6ft tall), thick, gorgeous dark brown hair that was a-swangin' and a-gleamin' and a-shinin' all over the dang place back when I had a 5" fro and was newly natural, so I had no idea what to do with my dry, breaking hair. He would wear it slicked back in a perfectly smooth, long, thick as hell single braid down his back. It looked fabulous and so did he--all tall and buff with a long braid like some bad *** from the movies.

Men with long hair are not hawt.
Then why were heifers all over my first love and his pretty hair? We'd go out and it'd be women lined up with their eyes all hooded and bedroom-like asking "can I touch it?" My stink eye scared most of them homewreckers off but there were some stubborn ones.

Girl!! I have this problem, too. I have women ALL THE TIME telling him they like his hair! One woman even touched it while she said that :look: She was wrong for that!

Not longer because I don't really like long hair on men but I'm all for healthy!:yep:

Certain men look alright with ponytails though.

She was dead wrong for that. Some women have no respect. :nono: How'd you react? I'dve been hot if some woman came touching my man's hair like that. But I know he'dve shut her down first. My ex did not play.:lachen:

I just wrote it off. She had been drinking. I played with him saying that the next time he lets a woman touch his hair I am kicking some tail - hers and his!!

I have never heard of a struggle bun but i know exactly the type of bun you're talking about.

To answer the question, yes I would date a man with longer hair than mine. But, better looking hair :nono: My hair has to look at least as good as his.

My SO has long dreds. They are very neat and beautiful. I touch them up for him every 2-3 weeks and keep them trimmed to ummm bicep length. Right now his hair is longer than mine, but not for long... :sekret:

Apparently i would b/c I did. His hair used to be just past shoulder length hair, he recently cut it but b4 that it was naturally wavy and thick and healthy. Before we went out it was almost APL, and it was qutie lovely. I think that's what attracted me to him. But then men's hair usually looks better than womens'; probably b/c they don't do anything to their hair except wash and airdry.

I'm going to have to admit this, but like 5 years ago before I met my husband, I was dating a very attractive man with gorgeous, thick, long curly hair and well mine looked nice, but was very short.

One time we were walking together and this black man (I know that he wanted to purposely insult me because the guy I was seeing was non-Black) he stopped us both on the street and said that we looked beautiful together, but that my dates hair looked better than mine. I was almost embarassed, but my guy just held me and said "well no I got a winner here bro but thanks anyway." I felt bad for like 1/2 hour, but got over it. I started thinking about my hair more then though, but wasn't doing much about it the way I'm doing now :(

My husband now has some of the most gorgeous hair that I've ever seen on a man, and he keeps it shoulder length. He, with all of that great hair of his likes to touch and rub his face in mine and frequently compliments me on the health of my hair and how good it looks, so I feel really good about my hair around him. I know that I'm proud of what I have and am doing the best that I can by my hair, so I don't feel insecure or any of that.

I have in the past. My first boyfriend had gorgeous shoulder length, black, shiny, 3A type curls. He has since cut his hair to about 2 inches all over. My hair was only ear length at the time.

Now I'm more attracted to guys with clean-cut hair.

Just wana know.

Me, personally, I couldn't do it. But I do see girls walkin down the street with their struggle buns and their man has the most gorgeous, long hair! I'm assuming they don't have a problem with it.

Struggle buns??!?!!! :lachen::lachen::lachen::lachen:

Sure, why not? I don't have a struggle bun so I'm not tripping. But it depends on how he's wearing his hair. If he's doing roller sets and press and curls - hell no. I'm not trying to be COCO to somebody's Ice-T.

But a man with some nice long well kept lox?!?!? :lick:
Or a polynesian man who knows who to keep his hair neat (I heard someone mention Troy Polamalu)?? :lick:

Long ass Latrell Sprewell cornrows?? :nono:

See...I think lox are sooooooooo sexy when they're neat. :lick::lick:

I have in the past...but those were my "boy" friends and now that I'm a little older that mess wouldn't fly well with me...unless it was salt and pepper...because thats just sexxxy (and off topic) to me!! LOL:drunk:
