2015/2016 Brides Roll Call & Random Thoughts :-)

^Congrats!!

I have like less than 6 months to go and wow time is really flying. I have not been in the gym smh. So much to do.

And I agree picking out bridesmaids dresses is hard. It was a lot harder than picking out my dress.

You'll get everything done. I agree bridesmaid dresses are the worse. I took the majority of my bridesmaids shopping and it was just a big no.

Bae wants to pick out his own outfit and the groomsmen outfits. How can I possibly trust him this task when 4 months out from a destination wedding and he hasn't picked his last 2 groomsmen. Nah.. this not going down. he will atleast have some parameters or something.

I had my make up trial today. I feel like I could do it better myself. I looked like a freaking clown. It was better once she toned down the brows and took off the fake eye lashes. I can't stand wearing foundation though. Really, I'd rather her just do my eye make up....that's it. That's hardly worth all the money....

Ladies, if someone you've recently met asked you how many bridesmaids you're having for your wedding, knowing that the wedding is in about three months, would you find that intrusive?

Ok bms dresses is done! Half have paid their deposits, just waiting on my 2 sisters and 1 gf.

Going to Vegas this weekend and am taking a break from planning until I get back. Next up is sending out invitations, ordering my jewelry and my barefoot sandals, and waiting for final room payments to paid so I can get my final guest count.

My mom got my dress last week! Woot woot! It's Maggie Sottero Divina and she is absolutely stunning! She fits me great but we ordered a bigger size to let out the hip area. She will arrive exactly one month before the big day. I got the blush dress I wanted! :spinning:

I will be doing my makeup myself as well. I've been watching a lot of youtube videos and buying whatever they use. I will do a trial a month before the big day. I'm also afraid of them making me look like a clown. I want soft, barely there makeup that day but with staying power.

What are you ladies doing for teeth whitening? My dental hygienist recommended crest white strips but I'm never consistent with it. She didn't recommend I do the zoom.

I've been wondering about this myself. Crest white strips is enough? I'll try that.

Ordered invitations. Everything is getting so real. Just over 2 months to go. I've been working out like crazy. I'm determined to have tone arms and as close to a flat tummy as possible.

FH let me know that he wants me to wear my hair curly for the big day :yay: Im gonna order some curly clip ins for length and do a kinda half up half down thing, I'll play around with it. Them dang clip ins are expensive :nono: so I hope it winds up looking nice. I've been watching vids on youtube of people using them, etc so I have a couple different methods to try. Just have to find the right product that will keep my natural hair from swelling too much (although Vegas is pretty dry).

I go for my first dress fitting in three weeks. Excited! I still can't believe I'm wearing an actual wedding dress lol I just wanted a white and cute party dress, but this was a compromise. It's simple but still officially a wedding dress. I'll live.

I still gotta find shoes. I found some earrings I like on Etsy, I want gold accessories to play off the white dress, including my shoes. My dress is a sweetheart cut so I haven't decided if I'm going to do a necklace yet (I probably should). I also need bracelets. And I need to decide on a wedding band so FH can stop asking lol.

What else while Im rambling.... I dunno. I just cant believe it's so close. Crazy.

Oh any products you come across that fights humidity please let me know!!!!!! I need some bad!

@Taleah2009 Hey twin! I'm deciding between Big Chop Hair and KinkyCurlyYaki :drunk: BCH I think you get more clips, but I heard a "horror story" about them just refunding the money and never sending the clips (that was just one story though). KCY, you only get like 6 clips but I like that you can order a sample of the hair for $10 to see if it matches your texture, etc (I did that last week). So Iount know girl.. I need to decide in the next two weeks.

I was gonna try the ORS curl pudding.. I've never used it before but read good reviews and watched a couple youtube vids. Im gonna do a lllootttt of trial runs lol.

Out of all things stressing me for the wedding hair is the most stressful part!! We are getting on married on the beach, so natural hair + beach=hot mess. lol lol
FH HATES weave and I am not much of a weave girl either, butt my options are truly limited for hair.

Worked on my DIY invitations all weekend. This is the first and last time I DIY 100 invitations. NOPE, never again. And I am still not done.

I have to start looking at invitations. Is anyone putting on a different dress for the reception? At first I wasn't going to but I'm wondering if my dress is too heavy for me to wear the whole day.

My hair is definitely stressing me too, plus I have color (honey blonde w/ highlights) so I gotta figure out how to color the clip ins so they look KINDA like my hair lol.. we're getting married in Vegas so it's dry yet hot. I'm hoping it will be okay.

FH HATES weave too (so do I) but he's cool with the clip ins, I showed him videos etc. He said, As long as you promise to grow your hair to that length in real life..

I was going to but after what I paid for my wedding gown there was no way I was taking it off after only wearing it for the ceremony. I had it bustled so that I could dance in it and dance I did! :)

I am with you. I am keeping my dress on. When will I ever get to wear a wedding dress again. lol. Plus I am kinda of obsessed with my dress.

Who contemplates switching venues a little over 3 months out. Me that's who! Waiting to getting some numbers and to se if my decorator is cool with the switch.

103 days away.
I have my dress, bridesmaids dresses, invitations sent, signature drinking classes ordered, groom and groomsman tuxes picked, menu finalized, cake picked, DJ, photographer, MUA.

I need to pick flowers, my shoes, officiant, wedding license, card box, seating chart, pick out a hairstyle (the hardest part for me) and so much more crap I haven't even thought about.

I'm tired

Why? Is it going to be an issue for your guests because it's destination?

No issue. I just found a venue that I like better and it's located on a better beach then my current venue and its more private! No of my guests no my wedding will not be held at the resort so they will never know about the switch. The venue is a surprise I don't want them researching it before hand and seeing all the surprises I have in store
