2015/2016 Brides Roll Call & Random Thoughts :-)

I met with my seamstress yesterday and tried on my dress for the first time annnnnnnd... it's aiight. It's a beautiful dress and beautifully made but I don't feel 100% beautiful in it. Some of it is that I still need to lose more weight, but some of it is just that I've never been a fancy dress girl. So I feel both lumpy and awkward lol. I go back at the end of Sept for my final fitting/alterations (the boob area didnt' fit well) so maybe that will help along with another 10lbs maybe of weight loss. We shall see....

Did you wear your accessories? That may help you envision what you'll look like on that day.
 
My bridal robe is in route! I can not wait to get tomorrow.

@tapioca_pudding we hit the 2 month mark yesterday! Sooo exciting!

I have a pretty final guestlist. 100 guests it is. I am sooo excited.

Up next is to finish getting the items for my welcome bags, bridal party gifts, my barefoot sandals, finalize hair and make up and then I am done and can focus on my wardrobe for the other 8 days we will be there.

I really want to find some cute Mr. and Mrs. tee shirts or tanks for Farewell Brunch or to wear to the airport.

Yes ma'am, it's coming so quickly!!!

I made a list of things I still need and it's not long but it's still making me anxious lol.

The big question is whether or not I'll be having a bridal shower/dinner. We could move funds around to make it happen but I'm like, we could also use those funds towards something else... haven't 100% decided yet.

I had a dream about the wedding weekend the other day, it was so funny lol. Nothing was happening right but I was so happy that it didnt' matter. :love: We'll see how it goes down in real life LOL.

Wow @Taleah2009 100 guests for a destination wedding is nice!! I think we're having 25 when it's all said and done but Im really really happy with that. :D

I still need friggin jewelry.... :-/ I haven't found anything that I just head over heels LOVE yet. I have some jewels and beading on the top of my dress so I kinda want it to be similar in style to that, which narrows my choices.

It's starting to feel real..... :D Im one of those weirdos where stuff doesn't feel real to me til it's almost here LOL so now it's really starting to feel real...
 
@tapioca_pudding I only wanted 60! Lol. But we cast a wide net. We invited about 240ish. We didn't expect this many to actually show up. Out of all those who paid deposits we only had 3 drop out before final payment was due.

We both have really large families

Ohhh ok!!!!! I mean that's so amazing, Im happy for you!! :D He has a large fam - 95% of our confirmed guests are from his fam lol. I just have my cousin and her boo coming for me. :) But that's okay... it should still be lovely.

All that matters is that you and hubby and are there! 25 is still a great amount. What are you guys doing after the ceremony?

Right after it's over we're going to take pictures at different spots in Vegas, then meet our guests at the restaurant for dinner around 8:30 or 9. Then eat, drink and be married LOL so corny! :lol: What about you?

That sounds so awesome. We are having a full reception. Ceremony starts at 4:30, cocktail hour at 6, followed by dinner inside the restaurant and dancing on the beach. I am praying every day for no rain!

I keep telling myself, if anything goes wrong on the big day I can at least say "hey, I'm in Paris" lol and congrats to you!!!
 
I think I want a birdcage veil after all.. at first I didn't want anything but Ive been looking at photos of them and I think they're so elegant and classy and would go well with my overall style. Need to find one and order it. That also changes my pick for jewelry, but that's okay.

FH asked me to pick a song for him to walk out to. :rolleyes: :lol: He picked John Legend Stay With You as the song for them to play after we say "I Do", so I have to pick something for him to walk out to (I'm walking out to Here Comes The Bride per his request). I have no idea what to pick.

My eyebrow lady moved to Chicago last year.. I haven't found anyone as good as her since she left, brows been terrible since. FH suggested I grow my brows out til the week before the wedding, then we can drive down to Chicago for a weekend so I can let her do my brows. :yay: :yay: Imma look like a boogawolf til then but dammit it's worth it.

I've been working on my facial and body skin and am definitely noticing the difference. Hoping to be close to flawless by the wedding (or my version of flawless lol).

We were going to buy a broom to jump, but FH asked me to make one for us instead. So that will be a project for me. I need to get on it so just in case I screw it up, we'll have time to order one LOL.

I'm getting injections next Monday to stop my underarm sweating and I am SO damn excited... Im so glad to have it done before the wedding so I don't have to worry about sweating during the wedding or honeymoon.

Im just rambling.. :)
 
I cut it close but I finally ordered my invites. I want to start looking for gifts for my bridal party. Someone suggested I buy their shoes but idk.

Don't buy their shoes. I'm getting my girls personalized robes, probably a personalized leather item, and one more small item, as well as their bridal jewelry.
