I know you asked for one, but I have to list several like everyone else.
Lusters Pink Oil Lotion was like brillo pad on my hair. Fortunately, I tested it on the front section (ends) only a few days after I came from the salon. My hair was hard as steel wool. I even set some aside and doctored it up, since I had a big bottle--which I bought on sale. I thought I would have to cut this section off. Fortunately, I had to press it and apply an oil blend to get it soft and supple again. Then I ended up giving it away, but for some people it works nice.
The crazy thing about it is that my stylist uses it on my hair from time to time, and I just discovered this out last week. He said: "It works good on your hair." I said: "Yes when you press it after you apply it with an oil blend."
Regarding the Elasta QP Mango Butter, it was nice and silky when I first used it. I was really impressed, and the smell is "heavenly!" The following morning I was so shocked that my ends were so dry--bone dry. I said to myself: "What happened to my ends?!" I decided to pour some olive oil in it--which made it better--but I won't be replacing it. Also, it will "mold" if it sits for a while . . . so it's best to put it in the freezer if you don't use it often--like me.
Aubrey Organics Honey Suckle Rose Shampoo – worked fine for the first three washes, but didn’t work afterwards. I had to use it for the first wash only—not enough oil in it according to my stylist, Rudy. I even added oil and it just didn’t work.
Nexxus Therappee--yes everyone raves about this one, but my hair stylist and I did not care for it. This did nothing for my hair, no slip whatsoever. I used it to wash my combs, and it left a film on them. I guess I will use it on my floor and rugs--or better yet, add a teaspoon of it to my other shampoos. This is definitely not a keeper.
Castor oil--It's too thick to use alone on my hair. I apply it to the edges, though, and that's it.
Murray’s Carrot Oil pomade–to thick to blend oils in.
I can't use olive oil alone on my hair or body. It works fine mixed with other oils, though.
