Men-free Zone ~ The Non-romantic Relationship Thread

A girl I met at a modelling gig a while ago text me last night asking if I was OK.

I thought it was pretty unexpected and considerate of her since I have ghosted all my SM for a while. I told her I was feeling down but alright.

30 mins later she messaged me (at 10:30pm) asking for a favor. She said she set up an Instagram account to trap her SO and he fell for it and gave his number to this mystery girl. Now she wanted ME to call her bf and pretend to be the sexy Instagram girl and set up a meeting so she could confront him :look:. I politely declined and went back to my rightful place in bed.

I know for a fact she will play this foolishness and take him back anyway She already has plenty of evidence without this. Its crazy how much drama people entertain in relationships. Its exhausting to listen to. I have other issues in life to deal with like my career/personal development/keeping healthy and not depressed. Can't imagine being with a douchebag on top of that.

This makes me mad. People are so inconsiderate.

They really are. So rude and inconsiderate. @Sumra said "I told her I was feeling down but alright." And her response is to ask for a favor:confused:.

After my mom died a lady I hadn't spoken to in quite a while asked me for a favor. I texted her back that I was still grieving the loss of my mom. In other words, leave me alone :look:. Her response was something like oh yeah well time heals all wounds, and asked for the favor again. I just ignored her.

So this is... different... I wasn't gonna post this but I will for the chuckles.

So exH GF who used to be my friend but became side piece years later after trying it many years ago keeps asking me to hang out either with them "as a family" with our kids or as girlfriends again o_O:abducted:.

Say what now, heaux? What kinda alternate Borg universe is this?!:assimilate:

I ran into my homegirl of 20+ years today. I was walking around the field with DS and saw her mom going into the house so I stopped her. I was planning to bring him by the house anyway since she (the mom) had never met him. She said my girl was in the house so DS and I went over. I haven't seen her in a while and she was on her way out but I was glad we got to catch up a little bit. She said she had a dream about me so she knew she'd see or talk to me soon. She also caught me up a bit on our other homegirl whom I need to check on sometime this week. Even though we can all go months without talking, it never feels awkward when we finally do catch up. I love that about them.

Omg @DarkJoy
She is definitely living in an alternate universe. Poor boundaries and just silly.
Right. Boundaries. Even though it's been many years I'm not about to up and kick it at the movies like we did before. I've forgiven them and have pity for them. That doesn't mean we will be chillin at a cookout over beers. No.

Um... What? @DarkJoy What do you even say to that?? Besides, "Girl, bye"?
lol. I'm very polite. It doesn't make me bristle up. I just say thanks but I have plans (even when I dont) like with anyone else.

It just amazes me how people are so... blind and one sided?

Friend is getting married, planning her hens has been hell and can't wait for wedding to be over as very demanding. And we aren't even in the bridal party as it is in Ireland. 5 of us are flying over there for the wedding and that's not enough?? Like seriously? Hens. Dinners. Kitchen teas. Paying for hotel in a luxury castle for the weekend. The rest of the trip. Like I love her but If she makes one more demand I swear....

You aren't in the bridal party and you're planning her hens? What are the people in her bridal party doing?

Ohh! ...who's "our"?

lol U.S. Hen parties are usually done in the UK. I only know very little from my friends across the pond. And from what they tell me they are nothing like bachelorette parties actually. The way one of them explained it to me I said it sounded like the bridal shower and she yelled at me and said NO It's called HENS!!! :lachen:I was like jeez sorry. @ivyness can you explain a bit more.

Ohhhh! Wow!

I just organised a hen party for 20. It was a nightmare.

At a hen party you just go out together with your best women friends/family. It can be activity based but often includes drinks and food in the evening. It can range from classy to tacky depending on the people. Theres usually a dress code. Some people play dress up, others might just have colour code.
