I *think* I found my wedding night outfit, I ordered it online yesterday and it should be here by Thursday. Hopefully it looks how I want it to look lol.

One of my fellow MUA friends and I are getting together after work today to practice some makeup looks, she has some ideas she wants me to try/products I might like. Im hella excited lol. Then we're going to Sephora to pick up whatever I may need that I don't have in my kit. Fun times.

I saw this stuff on IG called Sole Serum (www.soleserum.com)... you put it on your feet before you wear uncomfortable shoes, and it kinda numbs your feet for a few hours so you don't feel any pain if you're walking a lot or dancing, etc. I ordered some to see if it works, I hope so. I bought some folding-flats just in case though.

I really think I'm all set aside from getting my ring cleaned (next week), whitening my teeth (next week) and ..I think that's it lol.... 3 more weeks...

Sorry to hear no one from your fam will be able to make it. You will still have the most spectacular day! If you don't want to go out with the wife, enjoy your last evening being a single woman. Get some champagne and strawberries, get a beautiful robe, maybe go to the spa, and just try to relax and take in the moment.
 
Thanks @Taleah2009 I'm definitely going to have a blast on Friday night, no matter what I do. :D

Had a great time playing in makeup last night.. came up with the exact look I was going for. Need to purchase a few things to complete the look but I had mostly everything in my kit. Gonna do different lashes and different foundation though.

Getting a spray tan after work to see how it turns out and if it makes my body skin look as amazing as it did last time.

The week and a half that I'm off for the wedding/honeymoon is a pretty big week at work.. I planned my wedding date before I started working here, so I had no idea of the conflict. My boss is fine with me taking the 8 days off, but she's in hyperventilation mode since she knows she only has 3 more weeks with me. Driving me slightly bananas. But I'm just thankful to have the days off work, so I'll play along lol.

Picked up marriage license, currently stuffing welcome bags, and will start sewing the lace on my veil.

Welcome book done, just need to email
Program designed, just need to print and fold
Welcome tags done, just need to cut and tie ribbon on them and put them on the bags..

Got my tan last night - Im a bit more tan than I wanted lol. It will fade over the next couple of days, so it may fade into the perfect color which works out just fine. But if it's not how I want it by Friday then next go round I'll ask her to do the next shade up, possibly two shades. My skin does look nice though...

Spoke to my seamstress today, made my final two fitting appointments before the wedding (this Saturday and Oct 1). Can't believe Im at this point already. :drunk:

FH still needs shoes smh. He's had the worst luck with finding wedding shoes unfortunately. I bought him some really nice shoes for his 30th last year so he took those to the shoe repair shop to see if the guy can restore them. He should get them back today. If they look like new, (the shoe shop guy is REALLY amazing, I use him all the time on my leather shoes), then he's good. If not then he has to hustle to find something.

He asked me to take his mom shopping on Saturday for her shoes and jewelry, so that should be fun. Found out she's not wearing white after all lol crisis averted. :lol:

We leave 2 weeks from tomorrow and hubby still don't have his outfit. When I tell you he is on my nerve about..... I told him it's his issue. My girls will be great his guys will be great because I picked there stuff. He will be the only one up there look a hot mess lol. I got him a back jacket but he still needs pants!! I'm over this last minuteness
 
@Taleah2009 Imma need him to get with the program LOL jk!! :lol: Thankfully FH has always been an 'ahead of the game' kinda guy; he's had his jacket, bowtie, cummerbund, cuff links etc forever. He got his tux pants about a month ago. His shoes... he ordered 2 pair online about 3 weeks ago to see which one he liked best. He liked pair A better than pair B, so the plan was to return pair B and keep pair A. But pair A (the ones he liked) looked... worn. Like they had a scuff on them etc. So he took them back to the store in person and they apologized, gave him a steep discount and reordered pair A for him again. Last week, pair A arrives at his office and... again, they look worn. :drunk: We're like, wtf??? So he goes in store yet again with the same issue. They offer him the moon and stars but he's not interested and gets a refund. So hopefully the shoe repair guy was able to refurbish his shoes and he'll be all set. Otherwise he'll be searching again. :nono:

Random Rant:
So I ordered 2 dresses off www.ideel.com, about 9 days ago. I never got a shipping email so I contacted them yesterday. They said, oh it's set to ship out by tomorrow. Today, I get a Paypal notification that my ideel order has been cancelled because they couldn't fulfill the order. :wallbash: I get an email from Ideel saying the same. THEN about 15 minutes later, I get another email from Ideel saying, Congrats!! The dresses you wanted are back in stock! Click here to re-order! :wallbash: Im like so wait.. ya'll couldn't fulfill my order but now they're back in stock?!? What kinda tomfoolery?!?!? Smh... I was really excited about one of those dresses too lol. I'm tempted to re-order but I don't wanna be let down again lol.

Change of plans. I want the "Michelle Obama from the State Dinner" hair :look: talked to my stylist this AM. She is going to give me a pin curl presentable up do for the meet and greet the night before and then drive the 2 hours to our venue the next day and state dinner me up :look:

Had my 2nd to last fitting of my dress on Saturday. This dress is turning into a **** show lol. I *kinda* like it but don't love it. And my boobs are huge so it's taking some finagling to get it to stay up around my boobs without sliding down as the day goes on. :wallbash: Lawd. Lol. It is what it is though... not stressing too much over it. She said she'd add a detachable halter strap so when I'm walking around etc I can have that on and not worry about it slipping, but for the actual wedding I don't have to wear it since I'll just be standing there.

My wedding shoes hurt too. :lol: I had them on the whole time during the fitting and I was like holy **** these things hurt! Just the balls of my feet. So I'll need to research some thin inserts to help alleviate some of that pressure.

Found out my cousin isn't coming so oh well. What can you do.

Decided that I did want to refresh my roots and hair color, so I called my colorist but she couldnt' get me in until this upcoming weekend, which was too close to the wedding ( I like to give at least 10 days for the color to settle and the roots to grow out a touch so it looks more natural). But she is amazing so she gave me a list of things to get at Sallys so I could do my own color touchup. I was nervous lol but she promised me it would be fine. So I mixed everything up, slapped it on my head and waited 40 minutes then shampood and DC'd. The color came out PERFECT. Just perfect. FH Loves it too, he was like, Whoa lol. I decided to lighten my brows slightly too, which I never do. I usually just use a brow gel in a honey color to lighten my brows through makeup, but I didn't want to have to worry about wearing makeup every day on the honeymoon, etc. So I left the color on my brows for like 7 minutes and got the EXACT lift I was going for. Im SO friggin thrilled lol. My colorist said if I decide I want a few more highlights added just call her, but I think it's okay.

Sidenote - I was trying to figure out how many days til the wedding and FH pulled out his phone and showed me his countdown app lol :love:. It was so cute. His mom also asked me if I could do her makeup for the wedding. I don't mind but I kinda wanted to have the whole day to just chill and get myself ready without rushing, etc. When FH found out he was like, No, I'll pay someone else to do her makeup, you just focus on you that day. :huggle: I was like awww thank you boo lol.

Still need to do a couple more things but we are pretty much all set! Getting more and more excited.. and falling more and more in love.. :giggle: :lol:

I suppose @Menina Preta is honeymooning now. Ah! How cool! I know I just joined this thread but I've been ducking in and out for a few months so ta exciting to see yall go ahead and do this. Lol

My mom and I got so much accomplished yesterday. She has awesome ideas and is the perfect counter to my "well I think just doing this is perfectly lovely" because she's not over the top like my friends can be, but she's not going to let this be tacky :look: I purchased she and my dad a groupon for a vacay the week after. They had been talking about a second honeymoon after the wedding but hadn't finalized anything so I did and now I'm excited that we will be texting each other about our respective honeymoon trips.

But I like how I don't even have my honeymoon supplies yet. What imma wear

Did you get a spray tan? My arms and back are a bit uneven and I thought about doing this. I was going to looking into bronzing creams but I wasn't sure what to choose.

Yep I did! I let it "cure" lol overnight and it came out a touch too dark. So next time I'm either going to ask her to use the next shade up or I'll only let it cure for about 6 hours. But I loved how my skin turned out, I've been getting compliments ever since. :yep:

I would say definitely do a test tan first to see if you even like the process, the outcome etc. And figure out which day you like how the tan looks - for me, I loved the color after about 3 days, so I know I'll need to get the tan 3 days before the wedding. Hope that makes sense!!

I didn't want to do a cream because I didn't want to worry about staining or trying to get my back even etc.

Feeling like I have a million things to do and one week to complete everything. Instead of getting smaller, my To-Do list is getting bigger for some reason. :drunk:

FH's office is hosting a dinner for us on Friday night. Im iz skurred lol. They are nice people but extremely affluent and I'm a dork lol so I have to turn on the charm, wit and class so I can mingle and make a great impression on his arm.
 
finalized décor and received final invoice. we are a smidge over budget but nothing crazy.
sent my coordinator my seating chart so she can do my place cards
sent off my music list to the dj. I had to tell him, Listen Listen Linda (lol). Music is top 3 important wedding thing to us, you got to get this right. lol

I pick my dress up on Monday, welcome stuff is packed, I just need to pack our bags. A week from today I will be a on plane almost landing in PC!!!

Sent out our welcome info packets. Guests are getting excited. all 105 of them smh.

Husband (sooo funny to say that) dropped my ring off too today and picked up our bands.

My list is getting longer too!! I keep doing stuff, accomplishing the text, and then realizing that item was never even on the list but needed to get done. lol. Obviously my to do list is incomplete. lol
 
I made a 'Wedding Stuff' favorites folder with subfolders for each category of stuff (clothes, gifts, makeup, travel, etc). I just went through the folder and it's empty now, meaning that I've bought everything that I needed. It's kinda weird lol like wow, that's it... this is it.

My skin is acting hormonal. *sigh* It was GLORIOUS up until two days ago. Now I have two pimples, and the skin around my mouth is turning red (this happens every month around my cycle for some reason). My cycle isn't supposed to start until the 14th, and I was hoping all these symptoms would hold off until at least after the wedding. But oh well, nothing really I can do but just take care of my skin and wear good foundation lol. It's pretty frustrating though.

OMGggggg me too!!!!! I feel so miserable... trying to focus on a ton of water, low sodium and fresh veggies this week to hopefully release some of this bloat smh. So frustrating. Had my final dress fitting last night and my stomach was not the business. :wallbash: Drink a ton of water, focus on fruits and veggies, etc lady. I feel you...

I have big boobs and my dress shows some serious cleavage. :look: It's not trashy or skanky but it's definitely there. I warned FH about it last night so he wouldn't be surprised when he sees me coming down the aisle looking like Jessica Rabbit lol.

Also feel like I'm catching a bug. :nono: Been nursing it all weekend so hopefully it'll get outta here by Thursday when we leave. Was 30 minutes late to work today because I was so achy when I woke up this morning. *sigh* FH says I need to relax and he booked me a massage for when we arrive so I can just chill.

The women in Fh's family want to throw me a pamper party Tuesday night which is SO sweet.. but I just wanna rest. I'll get through it tho.

Just gotta get through the next 3 days then I can relax...
