I was wowed because the gift was expensive and extremely thoughtful and I was NOT expecting it. Long story short, my career requires expensive equipment (home studio). I was scrambling one time for a last minute project and I was flustered because I didn't have what I needed. I got through it but when someone asked me how it went, I mentioned that I needed to bite the bullet and buy this piece of equipment. That was like 3 months ago and I forgot all about it. I even made a mental note that I was going to make this purchase in January. Well not any more because that's what I got for Christmas.

That is an awesome gift from a very thoughtful person. I love it when someone shows that they really are paying attention to what you say. What a sweet thing to receive!

2018 was super fun. My family (I count my husbands family as fam not just in-laws) that ain't out doing dumb poo is healthy and prosperous. My friends are healthy and prosperous. I may gripe about little things that bug me but the course of my average day is wayyyyy more good than bad. Like it's all good vibes and love over here. I hope 2019 is more of the same.

My friend sent me several messages venting about her life. How she wished she could stay at home with her kids, etc.
I was distracted and almost did not respond right away until I got a second to read and said a few specific things and then “I’m sorry friend”
Her response: “don’t handle me like that”
My response: ??
Now she won’t respond to my texts or phone call.
I hate when she gets like this because she has a tendency to lash out.

@Leeda.the.Paladin Wow! Like really? I’d leave her be for now. All that she is upset about has nothing to do with you. And you can’t fix any of it. I’m sorry she lashed out at you like that. You didn’t and don’t deserve that kind of treatment.

Happy new year y’all!
Dejavu over here. My uncle passed away yesterday. Almost exactly a year after my mom. So my aunt lost her sister and husband in the span of a year. And I’m way out here and can’t be there like I would like to. Cancer is an evil beast. He found out he had cancer may 31st, after multiple rounds of chemo he’s gone. Just devastating. I’m trying to stay up but sheesh.

On Friday 1/4/19 at about 9PM, I turned my phone off.
I did not turn it back on until Monday 1/7/19 at about 7AM.
I think I'm on to something.

I had a vision board party on Saturday. It was just perfect. I had over about 7 people, so it was nice to just bond and have girl time. And I feel like it's the best vision board I have ever made because it captured the essence of how I am working on being, not what I am working on doing (shout out to the femininity thread). I also drank tequila for the first time in years, and now I know I need to stick to wine and champagne like I been doing. I was not worth a darn all of Sunday.

I thought baby shower planning would be fun. Not looking like it's going to be. Probably would be better if Mom-to-be asked us to help her plan instead of assigning one friend to get a group of us to plan it for her.

I went to an event the other night. It was a dinner and our entrance fee was to be applied to our food.
Sigh... we were asked if we could just split the gratuity. I said sure. Why did these chicks just split the bill... equally?
I didn't drink and had an app+ a side. I wouldn't care if they were my friends but this wasnt the case.
I plan to email the organizer later and tell her though I had a good time I didn't appreciate how the bill was handled.
Other than that it was nice.

My assistant dialed my extension and asked if I wanted to take a sales call (telemarketer). I told her to send it to voice mail cuz my home girl was visiting and we were talking. My door was open so when I hung up we both heard her say "She told me to transfer you to voice mail".
