This is not a wack *** update. This is a good update. Your hair is nice!!! Don't try to compare yourself w/ anyone b/c it will cause unnecessary envy or jealously.

Your hair is pretty and healthy looking.

How tall as you? Traycee appears to be on the short side. So I would expect her to get to waist or hip faster.

girl please!..LOVIN IT! U look mbl length to me too. it takes my hair long to grow as well. many have bypassed me..lol. your hair looks great and healthy! i love it :yep:

Your hair is gorgeous!!! I can relate..lawd, people have BC'd and still have passed me:look::lachen:- but I keep on truckin'. Try not to compare, your hair really is all that:yep:.

Girl Please: my regimen is sad:nono:

95% I wear a ponytail twisted and pulled up. Not for protective styling..cuz I'm downright lazy!
I use HE LTR leave in daily and co-wash when I feel like it.( maybe 1-2x per week)
I relax every 10-12 weeks with Mizani butter blend.
I take HF37 off and on
My fav conditioners are Redken Butter Treat, Pantene Mask and Aphogee 2 minute Reconstructor.
lilamae do you still use that stuff from Dr. Joyce "something"? I think it was a leave in?

Gorgeous hair fellow Oaktown sista! U know they hatin like a mug in the Town with all that hair flowin in the wind.lol:lachen:

UM YOU'RE BUGGIN! UR HAIR LOOKS GREAT YO!

I promise you I was about to post something similar to this. I was even going to use the word "buggin".

Lilamae ... I definitely remember you (I even remember whe you got Feature of the Month). Your hair is a) definitely gorgeous, and b) definitely beyond BSL.

Congratulations!

OP, I haven't read the whole thread but I just wanted to say that you shouldn't compare your growth rate with anyone's. You have to remember growth cycles vary, so hers may be longer than yours. What I do want to point out is your hair looks fuller than a lot of heads I've seen on the forum with even longer hair; and not just thick at the base, but all the way to the ends, kinda like Wanakee's. And to me that is so much worth more than length. There's nothing more gross than long hair that tapers to nothing, so OP, BSL hair as healthy looking as yours is what I'd wish for more than longer hair. Be thankful!

Your hair is absolutely beautiful! That's great progress, and such an inspiration! Keep doing what you're doing and you'll reach your hair goal in no time.

I remember you, I been here a while but I dont post a lot. Your hair is beautiful and you are tooo. I also think you are MBL , cause your hair is in the middle of ur back.

I agree that you are MBL not BSL.

Yes - body part measurements are different on people of different heights, that's not a diss to Traycee (Lawd knows I love her!!!) or anyone who is short - just a fact. So its not really all that important where it falls on your body. Look at what you have retained and the health of your hair! Think of it this way - many women who started the same time or even before you and Traycee may have had 1 or several setbacks and may not be even where either of you are!!!! Both of you have long, beautiful hair!!!!

Its difficult to compare yourself to others. What one person does, you may not do (or be willing to do). Traycee works out, eats healthy, drinks a lot of water and takes an entire vitamin store worth of supplements . Speaking for myself, I just started working out again in January and noticed increased growth. I am not willing to take more than a regular multivitamin, but Traycee didn't use growth aids....all that to say even if you both have the same exact regimen - unless every single thing in your life is the exact same, the results may still vary. Hard vs soft water, workload, stress level, internal health, environment (warm versus cold), the list goes on and on!

That's why its so great when people document (either for themselves or for others) exactly what they are doing. People ask Traycee all the time about everything she does and she is nice enough to include the "non-hair specific" stuff like exercise, diet, supplements, product add-ins, etc.

Bottom line - your hair is stunning and I would sacrifice a body part for it. Maybe a tooth or a toenail...:lachen: but no seriously I would! :yep:

Oh, and Dlewis, love, love, love your hair and I can't forget Favorc; gosh, so many to look up to and emulate:)!!!!!!!

your hair is gorgeous and so is tracee's. i know it's hard for us to stop comparing ourselves to others though. i do it sometimes lol but at the end of the day, your hair is beautiful and the comparisons should work to motivate you even further towards your end goal.

Your hair is just too purrrrty to go :nono: lilamae. It's definitely what I am hoping to achieve in hopefully a year or two.....or even three:grin:.

lilamae*i know how you feel. I was watching...stalking fgrogan's yt channel and was amazed at how much growth she retained in 10 MONTHS!!! Mind you I've been going at this for 16 and her hair surpassed mine by a mile. After posting my disappointment with my growth, the ladies snapped me back to reality. lilamae*we a truly blessed to have found lhcf! Imagine where we would be if we didn't know about this forum? Me personally...I would be bleached, damaged and NL or probably would have pulled an Amber Rose.

One member mentioned that we set the bar high on this forum when it comes to hair length which is so true. A black woman with BSL or MBL hair would get weave checked because its not the norm. But you were able to achieve that goal. On top of that, its so healthy and full! I adore Tracyee as well (I stalk her blog like no ones bizzness...lol) and she's one dedicated woman! But your hair is just as gorgeous! You'll hit WL in no time...watch. Just stick to that regi (be militant), even if you have to make changes (like I did) do so....and watch...u'll be WL or CL in no time mama!

Xoxo!
