I have and I did not really like it. It had too many cones or something. Was not terrible but not very beneficial either. I did not find it all that moisturizing. I only used it one time so maybe I am not a good reviewer, but it did not make any fireworks go off when I tried it.

Ditto to what HD said. It didn't do anything for my hair AT ALL.

HIT: CoCasta Shikakai Herbal Oil - I   this! It makes my hair silky and shiny. It's a little heavy from the castor oil I think, but my hair drinks it like it's never been moisturized before. It coats the ends extremely well too! My DD says it makes my hair look like Indian (middle eastern) hair. That's cool!

DOUBLE HIT: I gotta say it again...I can't believe Aveda DR works so well in my hair. My first product with cones and it's a keeper. It's been a week and a half and I've used it twice, so it's gonna be my new staple!

Well, it is technically May 1st where I am, so

TRESemme Vitamin E Moisture Rich Conditoner

Misses
Allover head overnight baggies - I woke up after just 20 minutes because of the crinkly noise

Oooh, I love, love, love that Tresemme Moisture Rich conditioner, that's my favorite right now!

Hit:
Flip top bottle: I had a flip top bottle I had purchased at the drugstore, and I emptied some of my Jamaican Black Castor oil in it. I am so glad I did, it is so much easier to work with now. The bottle dispenses the perfect amount and I don't accidently spill too much like I used to.

Yeaaaaaaaaaaa this stuff is nice! I picked it up two weeks ago and it leaves my hair feeling soft, shiny, and smelling good!

Oh and the conditioner is good too. I mix it with my regular conditioner to give my hair a nice scent!

Yuppers! ain't it! Labett said in the thread there's a 3/21.00 sale at Vicki's...so I will be going back
sport-smiley-009.gif
to get two more tubes of the gloss and one more tube of the conditioner.

Honeydew said the conditioner is thick...so I will use it like you are and mix it with another conditioner...I may try it with the Trader Joe Nourishing Conditioner and the Tea Therapy Conditioner. I also like using a lil of it dolo just to rub the smell into my hair.

The gloss is definitely my newest hair banger.

Yes...we are going to coin the phrase "hair banger" when it is the shiznit and you want the world, okay, LHCF, to know...

LOL, that is so true.

I sold my books back today and got some money...so you know what I did? I ordered some products . I ordered some more Shealoe (major HIT; I love it), some Avocado butter, and some Sweet Almond Butter, all from FNWL. I will have to report back and give my "Simon" review for the Avocado and Sweet Almond butters once I get them.

You know that is why I love your reviews! I think I have a butter here at the house for you. Let me know when you are out my way and we can meet up.

Lavendar....You wrong for the oil review. You know me and oils. I am just not even your friend right now!

MonaLisa....I am still laughing at you but I like your new phrase!!

This thread is hysterical! I love ya'll!

HITS: Boundless Tresses (scented) - I have ng like nobody's business and I am only 4 weeks post; may not make it to 8 weeks; gotta get braided up cause I'll get to where I'll have my hands in my head too much!

MISSES: None that I can recall.

Hit: Its official Dabur Amla Oil is the shiznit  ...its now a part of the new regimine I finally developed

Well, it's May 2nd so I guess I can post...

Hits:

Quemet Sidr Tree Balm: Moisturizes my nape and edges really well (even though it builds up over time

Keracare Hydrating Detangling Shampoo: This is a repurchase for me and I may have mentioned it in the April Hits & Miss Thread but I had to mention it again. It leaves my hair detangled without having the silicone feel. Fell back
in love with it.

Miss:

Detangling my hair when it is sopping wet. I will now try to drip dry after I apply my serum.

Not sure:

Eqyss Megatek Rebuilder: I just added two tablesppons of this to a good heaping of Keraphix and left this on for 20 mins. After I deep condioned my hair was so matted. I had to jump back in the shower and use my Keracare Shampoo again and then I could detangle easily.

On the bright side, my hair does feel sooo much more stronger, but I don't think I should mix Megatek w/any other protein treatment. If anything, I'll mix it w/a rich conditioner. My hair can't seem to handle super strong proteins.

Boundless Tresses: I love the smell but I can't tell until I relax this weekend if edges are thicker.

Hits, oyin whipped pudding and shine serum it smells amazing and it does what it says, its perfect for my wash and go and the whipped pudding has my hair so moisturized its amazing it just took forever to arrive but it was worth it,

Miss, carols hair elixir my hair got tanlged after putting this stuff in I wanted to cry my husband was asking my what happened, he was feeling so horrible seeing me upset like that, I took a few hours to untangle and because of my patience I didn't give myself another bc, but it worked out eventually, that product had so much hi rave I don't get it, I'm really disappointed, but you live and you learn I guess

Hit  :

Sunsilk Hydra TLC creme as a moisturizer on my rollersetted hair. Soft bouncy, smelling good hair is all I am getting! Move over Aveda USC & Dove moisture mist:D !!

Girl, I have to second that...that stuff is amazing! I can't believe how soft it leaves my hair and how it smells. My DH calls me his "mocha girl" and he says he loves that my hair smells the way it does. I love it too and it is worth it.:D :D :D

did you order from Oyin's site?? I ordered from the site before and mine took a long time too...but I found out you can order Oyin from the CurlMart on naturallycurly.com and it gets to your house a lot faster (I did that and it took much less time)

I forgot Aveda DR had cones. My hair loves this stuff too. It's my longest running staple. I have other stables, but I tend to switch them out every once in a while. Not Aveda DR. There are no substitutes.

:yep: last time i looked the prices were the same :)

Hit: Oyin Whipped Pudding

I finally tried this product and I love it. It has a very pleasant, sweet fragrance and it is very moisturizing. It's softened my new growth nicely as I'm almost 15 weeks post relaxer and I like using it on my ends as well. I think it's a new staple for me.

Hit: Curl Mart on Naturally Curly.com. I ordered from them and received my order very quickly. I'm very pleased with their service and will definitely order many more products from them in the futire.

Wow, I just saw you guys' responses after I made my post. I absolutely love Oyin whipped pudding. I just recently tried it as well and I love how great it smells, finally some good smelling hair products, lol. It is also very moisturizing. I ordered mine from Naturally Curly's Curl Mart and received my order very quickly. It was 10.00 and around $14.50 with including shipping.

Adding coconut milk to cowash conditioner - My hair was in love with this mixture! I mixed about half a can of Thai Kitchen coconut milk with some Suave Fresh Mountain Strawberry conditioner. My hair, especially the NG, was so soft and smooth, I can't believe I'm 8 weeks post! I'll have to try this more often. Maybe I can try this with another brand of coconut milk, because I only see the Thai Kitchen brand at the health food store (and it's almost $2/can).

Hair2Heaven Products - Ladies, please treat yourself to some of the End All and Blessed Body Oils. Fab-u-lous! I used the End All to seal in my leave-in after last night's cowash. My hair is so smooth & shiny today!:D

Misses:

Buying too many hair products! Actually, I haven't been that bad lately, as I've really narrowed down my staples. But I'm seriously putting myself on a strict hair budget. $20/month. I really don't need anything else right now anyway (except maybe that 360 Degree mirror posted yesterday....)

*Organic silica, liquid, a shot daily,it's done wonders for my skin. (BTW: I get it from my local health food store when I'm at home in MI, but I think if you go a good health food store you could find it) Skin just feels different more moisturized. Plus i had to get a small surgery on my face and I'm a notorious scarrer, and I healed like that this time! That's big news for me.(this was off topic, sorry):look:
* Doing my own kinky twists! It was my first time( I put the pics in my fotki) Granted they're not perfect, but they are mor than liveable, and guess who has her hair off her mind...me!

Mango butter and coconut oil mixed. I used it on my hair but I'm braided so I can't tell. It was AWESOME on my skin. I will be adding mango instead of shea to all my cocoa butter mixes from now on. :yep:

I just bought some Carol's Daughter Hair Milk and Hair Balm and a trial size of Miss Jessie's Baby Buttercreme from this local store in Nashville called Hunnee B'z.

HIT: Hair Milk, Hair Balm, Baby Buttercreme

I tested out the products, and like all 3. The Hair Balm has a nice thick consistency, and provides shine. The Hair Milk has a milky type consistency and the smell isn't offensive (neither is the Hair Balm). The Baby Buttercreme has a nice vanilla scent. I tried smoothing it on my edges and the front of my hair, and I actually liked it. It does have mineral oil, but I'm willing to look past that since it's far down on the list. If I like it, I will order the big size this summer.
