 @ these early Hits & Misses threads. They're always so funny to me because you have people giving reviews of products when the previous month isn't even over yet, lol. Gotta love LHCF.

I'm gonna start an August 2007 Hits & Misses next week......

Well, I did my overnight conditioning with Trader Joe's Nourish Spa (thank you, Nice & Wavy) last night, and this morning when I rinsed, I had some pretty nice results. It actually does compare to Elucence, even the feel of it before rinsing and my hair after rinsing. It doesn't leave a slimy coating behind, just extra moisturized hair...just like Elucence. Looks like I will be stocking up on TJ Nourish Spa whenever I get to a Trader Joe's.

HIT: Trader Joe's Nourish Spa Conditioner

Hits :yep:  -Using TLC Hyrdating creme for a DC (yes the leave-in). It gave me lots of slip, my hair smelled so good, was soft and bouncy, and just was the bomb. I wish they made the bottle bigger. This is def. a keeper, and I can't wait to use up my silicon mix.

HIT!!

FOR THE 1ST TIME getting to 6 weeks post and NOT feeling like I need a touchup anytime soon. My NG (or "underbrush" as my BF calls it  ) is just chilling out under there creating NO problems or tangles. I have NEVER been able to get to this point with such ease!

Yayyyy....:D :D :D I'm glad you really like it. You are so welcome.
I know now this is one of my favorite conditioners for CW and it is very moisterizing to the hair.

Blessings.

Hits

Pantene Pro-V Purity Clarifying Shampoo--Excellent stuff! My hair was in dire need of clarifying. This shampoo did the trick as my leave-in is now working for me again and my hair doesn't look dull anymore. This left my hair clean and it didn't leave my hair feeling stripped at all. In addition, it didn't appear to strip any of the color from my hair so that is an additional plus.

Sunsilk Black Shine Shampoo--This stuff is great and a keeper. Yesterday was the second time I used it and I can officially say that it does what it says. I used this shampoo for my second lather shampoo and it looks like my hair was blacker then before which is a plus since I'm trying to maintain the indigo color in my hair.

Hmmm...:scratchch

Have you used the "real" DC before? How does using the leave in as a DC compare to using the real deal?

I have and I did not really like it. It had too many cones or something. Was not terrible but not very beneficial either. I did not find it all that moisturizing. I only used it one time so maybe I am not a good reviewer, but it did not make any fireworks go off when I tried it.

That is a HIT. I think we are about the same number weeks post. My NG is really behaving. Oh, this is funny. We were getting trained on a machine at work and someone asked what was NG. Why do my mind stay in hair mode??? You know I said, "New Growth". But thank goodness I didnt say it loud. Only one person understood me and laughed. The guy who was training looked at me and said, 'go ahead and say it for everyone else. You are correct.' I said, "No Good"! ..... He didnt understand me the first time and thought I had it right.:lachen:

Look at you. All up early. I was late for work trying to catch just 15 more mins and didn't wake back up until far to late to make it on time. You were all up at it Hair Washing!

OT......I know this is good because I notice you are a Simon (American Idol) when it comes to giving a HIT on products. (this is a good thing though) It gotta be dang good to get a hit from you.

HITS:

I gave amla oil another shot. I bought it from Hennasooq. Fantastic!

Its very silky and smells good. Still can't use too much on my hair though, and I do like that it mixes well with the jojoba oil.

Aveda Sap Moss Shampoo Followed by Nexxus Keraphix. OOOO this was NICE! I loved this combo. Hair was very silky, the slip was really unbelievable actually! No tangles and very moisterized and very strong hair. I'll incorporate this as the summer time midweek wash.

MISS:
Suave Biobasics Con (iiick!!!!) Decided to try a cheapie to see if I could maybe get away from using Ensure all the time (I guess not!!) This one is supposed to be like Biolage.

Amla powder on hair. I think for me, its not a go on hair because makes me look like I stuck a finger in a light socket. I like it on my face though:D I'll stick with using the oil on my hair instead.

LOL, that is so true.

I sold my books back today and got some money...so you know what I did? I ordered some products . I ordered some more Shealoe (major HIT; I love it), some Avocado butter, and some Sweet Almond Butter, all from FNWL. I will have to report back and give my "Simon" review for the Avocado and Sweet Almond butters once I get them.

Hit:

Shampooing braids with diluted Jason's Hemp Moisturizing shampoo...I love Jason's!

washing braids with diluted Dominican Rinse...Aceite de Oliva to be exact. THis stuff made my braids soft and I diluted it!!! I can't wait to try it on my "real" hair.

Diluting BBD stretch with water and using it as a braid spray. THis has made my hair soft also. I called BBD and he told me that doing this well cut down on shedding significantly when removing braids...I hope this works!
