Whats important to me is that my hair becomes thick in all areas, shine and manageability.
I also would like more curl definition or waves as a washngo.

I have 5 years to grow long hair for the night I really want/need it for:
my honeymoon night!!!

This board and the C&G site made me realize I needed to wear my hair in a protective style until it was past my sholders.
It is also true that the more time I spend actively growing my hair, the more important reaching my goal becomes. Earlier someone mentioned feeling more "excited" about reaching hair goals, and that's how I feel too. I'm putting in the time and effort to take care of my hair so I'm excited to see the results. Haircare has become a hobby for me, but also reaching waistlength, a length I've never had before, has become a real personal goal. When I set real goals (which are different from my numerous casual "resolutions"

Maybe it's because I'm getting older. Maybe it's because there aren't too many styles left in the black hair magazines for me to choose from. Perhaps since my hair is already a good length I don't think about it much. Well, to a certain extent I do-- if I didn't think about it at all I wouldn't be here now would I?

Also, not all Black women relax their hair and achieve long hair. The proof is all up in this board!
