As was said earlier, you did do the right thing. She was DEFINITELY not in a position to help herself, and those kids were caught all up in it. Now, she at least has a chance. It's up to her whether or not she takes it.
... and thank God you both work somewhere that security cares enough to get involved. Some places wouldn't get involved unless it impacted her work performance.
