...I think I'm still a virgin??

I broke my hymen a long time ago.... I wear tampons.

WAIT, WAIT, WAIT.... CAN YOU BREAK YOUR HYMEN WITH TAMPONS???

I KID YOU NOT I WAS ABOUT TO BUY MY FIRST PACK OF TAMPONS TODAY TO SEE IF I LIKE THEM BETTER THAN MY TRUSTY PADS BUT IF THIS IS A POSSIBILITY (i thought it was an old wives tale my mom just made up) then NO WAY!!!

It goes in the same hole. A tampon doesn't devirginize you (unless you're having sex with tampons but that would be weird). It's just a way of catching the period blood. Don't let an old wives tale keep you out of trying it out. If you try it and hate it fine

NinjaBear, what do you want the answer to be? Do you regret yesterday or do you plan to try again soon?

No I don't regret it at all, but I just wanna know if I am still or not....
I would be kinda disappointed though if he took it still even though it didn't go all the way.....

Well I think you can break your hymen, but it would still make you a virgin because its not a penis...

i know this and i know i'm a virgin until the day i have sex but what i want to know is if a tampon can break the hymen? i expect that to be an uncomfortable/painful experience so i always wanted it to happen in the hot and heavy throws of passion with my husband :lachen:

OT: part of my reason for being curious about tampons is that i recently learned about vaginismus and, being the very mild hypchondriac that i can sometimes be, i wanted to make sure i don't have it. :look:

:lachen::lachen: WEIRD would be a drastic understatement.

have you guys watched porn?
maybe you should watch some to see how the movements are..
with my ahem  experience after trying it wouldn't go in, so we got some lube and one powerful thrust....... it was gone :)

Well I don't know because he didnt even thrust... or... do whatever people do when they have sex. lol

awwww....I just want to hug you. You are still so very innocent! :)

I don't consider you a virgin anymore, but you still just have this sweet innocence about you.
Best of luck (next time) with your boyfriend and please remain responsible in the choices that you make.

Inserting a tampon for the 1st time can be somewhat uncomforable (esp. if you've never inserted anything up there. A finger, a fake one, etc). It shouldn't really be painful though. If you insert it wrong, it can be painful...but that's because it's in wrong. Also, if it's not full when you take it out, it hurts like hell to take it out. So if you put it in wrong (not all the way up or whatever), and you have to take it out immediately, it's prob going to hurt.

NinjaBear, a lot of us had a mediocre "first time." And it's crappy to think that you're technically not a virgin, but that you haven't made love :love2:. Believe me, you're in good company. I don't know when/if you plan to try again, but I wish for you an experience so fantastic that it blows away all traces of the memory of this first attempt, and that you'll have no doubt it was worth it. :yep: Just, take your time getting there, ok?

ETA: Ya'll really concerned about losing your virginity to tampons?

If you're gonna watch porn with him and you have no experience, watch some boring, amatuer, fat people porn...they tend to not move as much. Because if you watch some porn star, screaming, hollering, squirting, and carrying on...that ish can phuck your mind up about what it's supposed to be like. And you might end up with all these impossible expectations as to what it should be like.

I have no experience with the previously mentioned happennings :yep:

To people who are deeply religious you are not a virgin. However, I think most people would consider you a virgin because you didn't really have the full experience (i.e., full penetration ,etc.).

Many women who are virgins aren't able to consummate the act the first time because the vaginal muscles are too tense. I believe the medical term for this is vaginismus. First timers are usually very anxious, expect pain, or for whatever reason have trained the vaginal muscles to tense up on penetration. Those muscles are very strong and can even prevent penetration in addition to causing pain even with lube.

Most women do learn to relax after the first few tries, but a few--especially older virgins--have to work a little harder at learning how to keep those muscles relaxed.

This is a bit off topic, but I have a question for the 'experienced' ladies: is penetration the first time always hard - no pun intended lol? Why is that?

In my experience, yes it was! And the first stroke was very painful to boot because he was really hung........

But after that first stroke, it was on!

*sniff*

I miss him.

:(

not concerned 'cause it isn't possible. just curious about it breaking the hymen 'cause i thought it was an old wives tale. did a little google research and now know that i may not even have a hymen since not all women are born with one or it may be shaped in a way that may or may not make it breaking likely . take away: it doesn't matter, i'm gonna try 'em and i'm hoping their better than pads.

So like, all I'm gonna say is that I had this "friend" :look: who started using tampons at 14 when she was a virgin, and this "friend" had no issues with pain or anything. She never went back to pads again.

Many years later, the "friend" became sexually active and broke her hymen. The tampons obviously had done nothing to break it beforehand and didn't compare one bit to actual intercourse.

Just FYI...

The tip of a penis is still a penis and it was in you.....V card denied...sorry sweetie. It could be worse....the few swimmers released before the actual ejaculation egg hunt were successful.:babyg: or
:babyg::babyg: or....... scary huh?

Yeah, this woman on Tyra was 50 and still a virgin because of pain issues :nono: She eventually lost it though.

Yeah, I wouldn't be concerned. Unless you live in a culture where men have women tested for the presence of a hymen before marrying them, the hymen test isn't sufficient evidence of anything.

A woman can be a technical virgin, having had anal sex, oral sex, manual sex :look:, etc. Does that mean she's sexually innocent? :nono: And on the other hand, if a woman who has not had sex is raped she's technically not a virgin because she's been penetrated. Yet, that non-virgin status puts her in the same category as most married women and Hussy Mae, who sleeps around. Context is key here.

Please please please do not watch porn. It will screw up your and your SO impression of what sex is like. Instead take the time to touch each other, learn each other's bodies and feel with is good and what is not. If you need assistance take an educational book from the library (they have instructional books on sex).

Everything is exaggerated in porn. The women squeal and pretend to like having their heads thrust on a schlong that makes them gag - just ew. You will not learn about making love from porn just about screwing. Totally not worth it.

You could have torn your hymen years ago for all you know so I wouldn't judge your virginity by the existence of the hymen.

If there was p.e.n.e.t.r.a.t.i.o.n., whether it be the tip or full scrotum, you are no longer a virgin.
