I would like to join, bootcamp here I come
1. What is your purpose for joining this challenge?
Learning how to keep my hair healthy
2. What is your current hair lenght?
I am currently CL
3. Are you Natural or Relaxed?
I am relax and in 12 transition to natural without the BC
4. What are your hair goals for 2009?
I would like to have SL and AP in 2009
5. What is your hair reggie?
I prepoo with amla and cowash 2x week with VO5, DC with ORS, MT 5x weeks. I wear protective bun 5 days

Growth! I'd like to be mbl by summertime.
2. What is your current hair lenght?
1 inch below bsb
3. Are you Natural or Relaxed?

4. What are your hair goals for 2009?
Keep those darn scissors out of my hair, and my danggone hands out of my hair, and grow back my hairline.

5. What is your hair reggie?

co-wash 1xweek, deep condition for 20 minutes 1x week. Wet bun 100% of the time. Clarify 1x month, light protein as needed. Mega tek 3xweek.
 
As we fastly approach 2009, I would like for us to think about these 5 questions as we all get ready for LHCF Bootcamp 2009.
1. What is your purpose for joining this challenge? I'm joining because i 1) need to learn discipline in hair growth, 2) ultimately want to MBL length (stretched) and 3) HEALTHY HAIR!!

2. What is your current hair lenght? Just BC again, last BC ever, im making it work this time, but less than earlength, sassy and sweet!

3. Are you Natural or Relaxed? Natural babe:yep:...i dont know my hair type, nor do i care

4. What are your hair goals for 2009? :rolleyes:..hmmn....I sooo think i can at least grow 7 or 8 inches of hair by this time the end of this challenge

5. What is your hair reggie?
Since I'm rockin a TWA probably for the next 5 months,i will be:
1) Cowashing once a day,
2) Moisturizing twice a day, once in the morning, once before bed (not sure how to add a sealant to a TWA yet..in progress...:rolleyes:
3) Washing my hair 2 times a week with Elucence M.B. shampoo, i need to alternate between moisturizing shampoos and protein shampoos, i'll add the protein shampoo when my hair needs it
4)DC after every wash, only one of those DC's will be under the dryer though
5) Clarify once a month

 
Got my combat boots on! But they have a peculiar "brand-new" smell....
(Oh, that's cause I'm new to this, lol) :drunk:

1. What is your purpose for joining this challenge? My purpose is to gain healthy, healthy, hair (that my DH can play in).
2. What is your current hair length? NL as of December 2008, needed a rescue cut!
3. Are you Natural or Relaxed? Natural, but will be texlaxed at the beginning of Bootcamp. (I think)
4. What are your hair goals for 2009? I would like to be SL by May 2009 and APL by December (if possible!).
5. What is your hair reggie? I am sooooo trying to get one together (for texlaxed hair), please Help (pm your best lye relaxer, Please). Will add reggie soon!

I co-wash twice a day and deep condition once a week. That is really it for now. As it grows, I'm sure it will change.

Longest tips, just past bsl wet.

Relaxed

Back waist-length, top section, a full apl

5. What is your hair reggie?
Wash 'n go with occasional flat ironing

I didn't get the chance to do the whole of Bootcamp 2008 (as I only found the forum earlier this year), but I got some good results.
I've been slacking big time so I need this to keep me in check :grin:...

this forum is new to me, but within the past 2 days I have gotten some really good advice and started my vitamin regime... with that being said i am up for the challenge, looking forward to growing thicker hair by summer.
 
I'm in. This is going to be my first challenge!

1. What is your purpose for joining this challenge?
To get healthier, longer hair

2. What is your current hair lenght?
Stretched: Shoulder length in the back and lip length in the front give and take a few shorter and longer areas (it's really uneven)...Unstretched:It's all over the place.

3. Are you Natural or Relaxed?
Natural

4. What are your hair goals for 2009?
To be Armpit Length (or longer) by this time, and to have super healthy hair

5. What is your hair reggie?
I co wash 5-6x a week with Suave Coconut and put a bit more in after i rinse as a leave in. If i don't leave in the Suave, i either use Mane n Tail condish or BB Oil moisturizer. Deep condition 1-2x a week with a cholesterol treatment. I then dry my hair by wrapping an old tshirt around my head for a couple minutes. After my hair is about 90% dry i put some Olive oil and bun. On days i don't bun i just do a wash and go.

Woo-Hoo...I'm so excited!:grin:

I missed the one for 2008 I am serious about restoring my hair back to MBL

No trims or cuts. Relaxing either 2x a year or just washing and flat ironing my hair.
Going my hair to FULL BSL 12-31-2009 and Full MBL by 12-31-2010

5. What is your hair reggie?
I use to relax my hair every 12 weeks now I am going to relax every 6 months or possibly forgo relaxers for good still undecided. I wash every week and deep condition once a week in the winter time. In the summer I wash and deep condition 2x a week. I wear buns and braid outs.

To make a reggie and stick to it, also to grow my hair more before I do the BC.

2. What is your current hair lenght?
SL? Not sure- haven't seen it truly straight in a long time

Transitioning (16 months in...)

• HEALTHY HAIR
• Soft, moisturized feel
• Grow enough hair to do the BC by late summer/ early fall and have a decent puff

I don't have really one :nono:! I moisturize my braids every few days or every day or whatever I have time for.

I'm excited- this is my first bootcamp. I hope I can do it!

1. What is your purpose for joining this challenge?
I will be cutting a lot of hair by the end of the year so I want to gain some length and develop a solid regimen.

2. What is your current hair lenght?
1 inch above bsb but I will be cutting it to around APL (bad ends)

3. Are you Natural or Relaxed?
transitioning... no plans of a BC soon. I used BKT.

4. What are your hair goals for 2009?
Develop a solid reggie and gain below BSL.... regrow my edges.

5. What is your hair reggie?
Shampoo and rollerset every week. Steam DC with every wash. I used Castile soap for shampoo but I'm searching for a staple DC. Use NTM silk leave in every day or every other day.
 
Okay I know every faithful lhcf bootcamper have joined it, but I want to know, for the natural headed challengers, what are you regimens and how do you get best results using this challenge??

1. What is your purpose for joining this challenge?
I was texturized for about 5 years and I relaxed my hair last June. I've never taken part in a challenge and I think that the challenge and the support of everyong will keep me motivated to develop a regiment for my "newly" relaxed hair and stick to it. I want to learn more about my hair and maximize it's potential.

2. What is your current hair length?
Between chin and shoulder length. Some of the ends are not as healthy as they can be, but I try to keep my split ends in check since my stylist is knows I'm trying to grow out my hair and only trims to make my hair even.

3. Are you Natural or Relaxed?
Relaxed

4. What are your hair goals for 2009?
Well, my overall goal when choosing to relax my hair was to grow my hair longer than it was before I went natural. My hair was almost APL at that point, but it never grew any longer (in hindsight, my hair was always dry like straw...I blow dried it, flat ironed it and used oil...not moisturizer). I think with what I'm learning on this site, I can definitely exceed healthy APL hair.

5. What is your hair reggie?
The constants in my regiment are: shampoo with ABBA creme moist and DC under heat cap with ABBA creme masque. I usually steam prepoo and I try to stick with roller sets, flex rod set and I've tried a braid out once. I use Bioinfusions Olive Oil Moisturizing Lotion and occasionally coconut oil. For the most part, this is what I want to work on in this challenge. I don't have starting pics yet (I tend to download my pics at work. I will post them later.
