Yay! I'm soooo in :) I've been waiting for this since June!

1. What is your purpose for joining this challenge? For retaining the most growth, and doing all I can so that my hair can reach its full potential

2. What is your current hair lenght? APL

3. Are you Natural or Relaxed? Natural

4. What are your hair goals for 2010?BSL by June and MBL by Dec 2010

5. What is your hair reggie
Shampoo and DC once a week
Bun or rollerset
Moisturize and seal every day
Supplements everynight
Sleep with satin scarf or stocking cap at night
 
1. What is your purpose for joining this challenge?

I hope this challenge will force me to be more disciplined when it comes to my hair. I ended my transition and became natural over the summer (2009) and I am still learning what I can and cant do with/to my hair. AND the support is also great! :yep:

2. What is your current hair length?

My hair is in layers because of the BC. The top is a little past my upper lip and the bottom is grazing APL. I also need to get it evened out in 2010.

3. Are you Natural or Relaxed?

Natural

4. What are your hair goals for 2010?

My goals are to learn how to make my happy and keep it optimaly moisturized. I would like to learn how to stretch out my coils because my shrinkage is crazy! I would like to learn/practice making clean twistouts and braid outs. I also would gain and retain 8+ inches making the top at least SL and the back at least BSL+.

5. What is your hair reggie?

My hair reggie will be simple:

Wash the roots with shampoo or no-poo every week, depending if I used cones or not.

Deep condition at least once per week.

Detangle weekly.

Take my vitamins daily.

(I also need to start documenting my hair journey. :wallbash: I have been slacking!)
 
1. What is your purpose for joining this challenge? To grow healthy and long chemically colored natural hair.
2. What is your current hair lenght? I am currently grazing APL
3. Are you Natural or Relaxed? I am a colored natural
4. What are your hair goals for 2010? I would like to color again and be BSL
5. What is your hair reggie? I DC about once a week and wear puffs or twistouts or braidouts, when I'm not doing that my hair is in wigs. I apply Fantasia IC Leave-In mosturizer and QP Mango butter daily. I'm really lowkey with my hair, if it takes too many steps I'm not doing it.

I'm tired of all the setbacks I've experienced. I'm tired of hiding behind these weaves. I have no idea how to take care of my own hair, and need to learn. I want to finally stick to something and see results!

SL-ish.

5 months post relaxer...considering transitioning

4. What are your hair goals for 2010?

1st half-Healthy hair, first and foremost. No breakage! No bald spots! No dryness! 2nd half-Growth and retention

5. What is your hair reggie?

Sew-ins:
Daily-moisturize Nu-gro spray (need to find a moisturizer to mix it with...possibly NTM)

Every other day-use MT

1 or 2 times/week-co wash with HE LTR or V05 condish

Weekly-Shampoo with Nioxin cleanser, follow with Nioxin Scalp therapy, DC with Silk Elements treatment. May incorporate Joico K-Pak reconstructor in there somewhere...my PJ-ism has started kicking in since becoming active on here lol

Monthly-Aphogee Two Step protein treatment

Before re-installs (every 2 months)-Aphogee Two Minute Reconstructor

I NEED this. Instead of bypassing this challenge every year... I'm in!!!

1. What is your purpose for joining this challenge? Maintain the health of my hair and make APL by the end of 2010!
2. What is your current hair length? NL bob
3. Are you Natural or Relaxed? Relaxed Vitale Concorde
4. What are your hair goals for 2010? Relax no more than 4 times, retain 90% of my growth, Only Dust as need and protective style (sew-ins) the entire year!
5. What is your hair reggie?
  • Sew-ins every 6-8 weeks
  • Relax every 12-16 weeks
  • Clarify & DC & Strengthening treatments between each install
  • Co-wash braids/leave out every 1.5-2 weeks
  • Moisturize every couple of days

While I don't have a set goal length long term, my main goal is to retain length and thickness.
5. What is your hair reggie?
co-wash as needed 3-4 times a week (sometimes 5)
DC 2 maybe 3 times each week
Airdrying using the scarf method 9 times out of 10 and then bunning or twist outs
I usually throw a tea rinse or two in there some where and I oil 2-3 times a week

My purpose for joining the challenge is to get between neck & shoulder length length wise. & To improve my hair's condition, it is very dry & brittle since I have done my BC.

Moisturize hair and oil scalp and ends
Style (probably twist)

Once a month I will doing Cassia treatments. I get mine from mehandi.com. I'm not sure if it does anything:lachen:, but I'm going to use it anyway.

Mullet :grin: back is about 2in from APL front is 3 1/2in from APL

My hair reggie will be simple:

Detangle weekly using a modified Chicoro(sp?) method

Take my vitamins daily.

A. To regrow my edges and get the top half of my hair to catch up with

A. I wash 1x a week(Ayruvedic soap bar)+ayruvedic paste, DC 1x/wk(Kenra), massage my scalp with a mixture of Amla, Bhrami, and oilve oil( daily). During the week, I'll use Afroveda butters to keep it moisturized. I mostly wear wigs w/ twists/braids underneath.

- Getting back on my hair journey and definitely need to have some discipline and accountability.

- Unstretched: Slightly above SL
- Stretched: Between APL and BSL

- Always have been and always will be NATURAL!

- Be consistent with a regimen and hair care
- Be a full and HEALTHY MBL by December 2010! Preferably Dec. 21st (my 5 year wedding anniversary!)

Right now I really don't have one. I haven't stuck to a regimen in months. I know I need to find what works for me so the regimen will change as I deem necessary. My goal is to try this simple regimen for starters:

- Shampoo/DC once a week
- Co-Wash 2-3 days a week (Summer months) or 2 days a week (Winter months)
- Moisturize and seal nightly
- Remember to wear my satin bonnet

1. What is your purpose for joining this challenge? -to regain the volume of hair lost - full, blunt cut MBL

2. What is your current hair lenght? BSL (past)

3. Are you Natural or Relaxed? Relaxed

4. What are your hair goals for 2010?
- MBL (by July 4th)
- Thick ends (last 3 ends are thin, eliminate!)
- Thick Hair (all of hair thicker)
- Edges thicker, longer
- Middle hair thicker, even length with rest of back length

Been trying to rollerset but its not going well-Sooo I will be relying curlformers, flexirods, pin curls, braid out and twist outs.
DC every week
Co-wash 2x weekly (mainly for braid outs and twists outs)
Henna 2x a month, more protective styling

Keep up with vitamins and protein drinks daily

I want to join. The longest my hair got while in my care was grazing APL but my ends were shot and I had to cut back to SL. My reason for joining is to reach APL(I'll take grazing but I'd prefer full) in 2010 and keep my ends healthy. I'll be back with more to say when I get to my home computer.

5. What is your hair reggie? I do not have the best regime. Currently, I do wash and DC weekly. When I am going to work, I moisturize, define curls, and seal in the am...at nite, I am luck if I wear a bonnet to bed!!! I have lots of herbs, indian powders, and oils to create Ayurvedic Treatments to my reggie. I would luv to play with these items in 2010!!
 
This week has been good.
I got a curlformer set and I wore it for 4 days w/o combing, just fluffed daily.
I also DCed 2 times this week it was nice.
I have been moisturizing and sealing 2x/day too. IM SO PROUD OF MYSELF!!!!

Growth - specifically to grow out my layers and bangs, and to retain all 6 inches with the exception of trims.

Shoulder length, one inch from APL
3. Are you Natural or Relaxed?
Relaxed
4. What are your hair goals for 2010?
To achieve full APL hair for sure, and hopefully BSL by December 2010
5. What is your hair reggie?
Rollerset and DC twice a week. I sometimes bun during the week, and flat-iron no more than once per month. I hope to eliminate flat-ironing completely by relaxing every 8 weeks instead of stretching in 2010.
