I’m awaiting a hot mess of results :-( I got some rollers that are probably too small for my hair and the top of all of them were frizzy ( over 5 months post)

Attached the bonnet piece I already had to my Dyson and the drying part seems to work well

Edit: hair is ear length in these rollers lol

Um ma’am, this is absolutely NOT a hot mess! Your hair looks beautiful! :yep:Thank you for sharing a pic. Also, think on the bright side in terms of the shrinkage that comes with a tight set—those ends are up and out of the way.

And yea, to answer your previous question, a hard hat dryer will get that hair dry faster, but other setups can still get the job done. I dried my hair with the same method you did for a while before I bought a dryer.

I’m switching to smaller flexirods. I love the look of the purple ones I’ve been using with all the volume and length it gives, but I need more durability since I’m stepping up my cardio.

I just did a set with the blue rods and this thing is tight. I mean, I am looking like the aunties at church who get their hair done with some Lottabody and don’t separate their sets at all right now  but that’s okay for just running my Sunday errands. It’ll loosen right up tomorrow morning after my sprinting workout and look fine for work.

Okay, so even this tight granny set barely made it out alive-I was not playing around on that treadmill this morning
To be honest, I don't love how it looks, but I'm going to keep it moving because I'm trying to really limit the manipulation of my hair to 2x/week. I need to remember that the whole point of this challenge is to limit my manipulation. I lost sight of that during March and redid my sets too frequently. I might wear a headband tomorrow and Wednesday.

I'm voraciously reading old threads and watching videos of the OGs, and the one thing they have in common is leaving their hair alone. I mean, I've known this for years, but I haven't actually been consistent. So now that I'm really trying to retain some hair, I need to stick to that. Here's a post from kami11213 (I love all of her old posts for both hair and fitness progress) detailing how she leaves her hair alone as much as possible.
