Nappturality. I actually came here because the fitness forum was more active than over there. I didn't use the hair forum until later.
 
I was researching growing relaxed hair. I saw wiki and ask but I wanted more so I kept looking for days and found Lhcf. Personally I feel Lhcf should have been the first choice under the results.

Swype thinks weird and wierd are both correct
 
I was in astronomy class and this tall girl with a beautiful mane of hair walks in and sits in front of me. Her hair was at least waist length and natural. It was big and distracting but so beautiful! At the time I was natural and struggling, straightening my hair while I "figured something out" I sat there and wondered what is this girl eating? Her hair is beyond gorg, type 4, stretched and thick:lick:. So in this particular class most of us bring a laptop to "take notes" but somehow Facebook pops ups and no one is taking notes... One day (she sat in front of me most of time) I get a good look at her computer screen and she is on this site. I see four animated ladies with very nice animated hair, but I can't fully read the text so I lean way forward and almost (ok mostly:blush:) fell out of my seat (awkward I know, but I had to find out, I just knew it was the holy grail!)...And thats how I found out. If I was suspicious I would have thought she was cruising this website on purpose and sat in front of me to give me a hint. But that's a bit extra. For some reason I found LHCC and BGLH among others while searching for hair care tips, but not this site before that day. I'm super grateful to that girl for not taking notes in class, lol.

Me too. I forget my exact search but...
First i clickd on the crown and glory technique and then an lhcf thread. I found myself readg thread aftr thread and before i knew it time flew by and the sun was comg up :-)

More than likely google. I've known about this site for a while and lurked because I didn't want to join then just said what the hell!!!!

I googled long hair and hit the jackpot(google already knews I only care about stuff for black/brown people).....lol. I immediately paid my 6.50 and lurked for almost 4 years learning the lingo and trying to test just about every regimen I could find...especially as I limbo'd between texlax, relax, natural...rinse and repeat. lol

I mustve spent hundreds to thousands of dollars during that time. Didn't matter, I love this place....even when it gets ugly between members.
 
I've heard about the site for years, but never visited. I think I heard about it through different message boards etc. I finally decided to join last June.
 
Google search grow long black hair and came across a ton of lhcf links. Seriously best day ever. It's amazing I've lived so long with no idea how to care for hair.
 
I found out about this website on google. When I was natural I was trying to figure out how to get my hair to grow past arm pit length. I probably read threads all night and day, I finally joined and then subscribed. So happy with my decision this is the best hair site ever!!
 
I was doing a search on hairstyles and I ran across someone's fotki. I don't remember the screen name but she had a hairstyle that I really liked and wanted to recreate. A link on her page linked to this website.
 
Internet. My hair was in such bad shape and I knew there had to be some info out there to help me cause I obviously wasn't doin a good job. I found this great article on relaxed hair and they mentioned protein treatments so I goggled protein treatments and saw this site. I read other sites but this one has a great supportive vibe and I joined and am lovin my hair now :)
