October 2016: Hits & Misses

I talked to some other hipo ladies about steaming, and they feel their hair is more moisturized with it even though product sinks in to their strands easily anyway.
Not sure how regular steaming would do the health of my hair as I have yet to try it.
I understand that it feels more moisturized. However, if you have hi-po hair, you want to close your cuticles. Closed/smooth cuticles holds the moisture in your hair. In addition, closed/smooth cuticles prevents unnecessary tangling.

I do understand that each ladies hair is like a snowflake (different). So, do what's right for your hair.

Happy Hair Growing!

Camille Rose Curl love hair milk, it keeps my hair moisturized for several days. A little goes a long with this product, I am still trying to figure out the right amount to use for my fine hair.

Wetline Extreme Professional Gel, it gave me a good hold for my bun without leaving it feeling hard. It mixes well the Camille Rose leave in. I had waves galore with my bun this week. Looking forward to seeing how my hair looks and feels when I wash it out.

OMG! A Super Duper New Hit:

I finally took out my APB Ultra Conditioning Souffle (in Mallow Clouds :lick:) and used it to DC my hair for the first time this morning and as soon as that baby touched my hair, I knew it would be  at first touch. Wow! I will have to add this to my BF list for sure :yep:

This is true. Steam and heat are actually more beneficial for us Low Po gals whose stubborn cuticles need opening to get that product in.

I probably won't get this again at the price-point.

I got it in a Curlbox 3 8oz Products for $25 and that was great for that price. I think they should adjust their prices.

I've never used Red Raj, but now I wanna get it and henna my hair, something I have not done in a long while.

As far as using indigo for darkening, I might just give that up since it doesn't work for my hair anymore :nono.
I've been using Red Raj for over a year and it has improved my fine strands. I've tried the Moroccan henna but red raj is the best for my hair. I've been considering Nupur.

I have tried Moroccan and Nupur and love them both. I like Moroccan because the dye released fairly quickly and the Nupur because it has a lot of other goodie herbs in it that's beneficial to the health and strength of my hair.

I'm already calling this a miss even though the conditioner is still on my hair.
-Obia babassu deep conditioner. This stuff felt chalky (like putting thick Milk of Magnesia) on my hair. I laughed when I read I was supposed to comb the product on my hair...this stuff has no slip. Lawd geez, it smells like plaster to me....yuck.
