Married Ladies Random Thoughts

Gonna buy my DH his favorite cologne and a sharp tie, then on to Red Lobster cause "Lately, he's made my earth shatter with pure ecstasy!!!

We're headed toward 17 years of marriage and through it all, we're as close as Siamese Twins. And for that...I am thankful to God.

So sweet - We don't hear enough about happy marriages. Thanks for posting and enjoy your date!!!

DH and I are chaperoning a high school prom tonight. I'm trying to get in the mood but I dont feel like leaving my house. I'm an extreme introvert and socializing is WORK for me. DH is an extrovert and most likely will act a fool.
I can totally relate. Socializing is exhausting for me too. Just focus on enjoying the time with your DH and recover tomorrow.

I know exactly what you mean - socializing is exhausting. Do what you can to make the most of it!

Thank you ladies, I had a nice time! Before leaving the house I had a glass of wine as I got dress, which calmed my nerves. I absolutely loved my outfit and hair, which I wore to one side. I met his co-workers (mostly yr females), they were not friendly towards me as he anticipated. They politely said hello and moved on. Which, I was happy with because I did not have to force a conversation. DH seemed surprised, I wasn't. The prom itself was cute, the kids were so happy and some were dressed beautifully! Midway through the event I sat in the promenade enjoying a spectacular evening. Another teacher joined us and I spent the evening speaking to her. DH remained by my side, except to go cut up with kids on the dance floor or to photo bomb pictures. I felt I was true to myself while delivering for my husband. Thanks for the encouragement ladies!

I am happy to hear the evening was better than anticipated. I liked what you said about staying true to yourself while delivering for your husband. I think that is beautiful. We don't always have to sacrifice who we are.

Back from my girls trip and I had a ball. Relaxing beach, shopping, food, girl time just wonderful! I tell you DH must have called me so many times. I woke up to, "I miss you texts". The man called me more on this trip than he does in a day when I'm here. I haven't been anywhere on a trip in years. It's usually with him and the children if I do take a trip. I think this girls trip was a shock to his system.:lachen::lachen::lachen::lachen::lachen:

Summer party invites are pouring in and I have both kids birthdays in June, our anniversary in July, DH’s and my nephews birthdays in August.

Can I be pre-tired?

I have the kids parties planned and I think I’m going to hire a private chef and have dinner by the pool for our anniversary.

We won’t need a babysitter and I can decorate the back yard nicely. It’ll end up costing us less than going to a restaurant.

You have a lot going on in the coming months @IslandMummy so Pre-Tired is understandable!

A chef prepared pool side dinner sounds so romantic! And that dress is FIRE. So sexy. I think you came up with the perfect anniversary idea. A wonderful tribute to years of marriage that is more pampering and chill than rat-race and time consuming. That's what it's all about.

I love the dress - wrap dresses are very flattering and seductive.

It caught my eye on amazon and I had to have it.

I love that idea @IslandMummy . It sounds so creative and romantic.
I’ve been on Pinterest all morning looking up back yard decorations to make it really special. I’m not creative at all so I’m preparing in advance lol

It’s even better because it’s a black husband and wife chef duo. The pricing and super reasonable.
