Okay so my friend finally hit me back.

Sorry, for the delay... we just had a huge test today and pretty much the last 2 wks of our lives were dedicated to studying for it lol

So... he's one of my classmates and he's actually one of my best friends here. I told him that we had set up a mini match-making service and he was down. Really great guy, I have great talks with him about relationships all the time. He's Algerian... speaks several languages.... really smart and down-to-earth. He's VERY open-minded and very affable. He makes friends really easily... also he has a good sense of humor... as reflected in his blurb (his words are bolded and in italics):

Just wanted to say I got a phone call from one of the bachelors here! It was a great conversation. We talked a little bit about everything and we have so much in common. I tried to follow "The Rules" of ending the phone call in 10 mins, but it was going so well neither one of us wanted to stop talking. We were talking for almost an hour! Anyway he asked me out on a date, so we will see what happens! I'm excited!
