Hits:
Sleek & Shine Mask- I got this free with a bottle of S&S conditioner. I like it, very nice and creamy, a richer version of the Fortifying Cream Conditioner.

Rollersetting- This is my new love right here! I have begun doing full rollersets with mesh rollers. My ponytails rollersets gave me the courage to take the plunge and do regular ones.

Silicon Mix- This stuff was thick & yummy, great for deep conditioning!

Lacio Lacio- This stuff is no nice, I couldn't believe the creamy consistency and it made my hair so shiny too! I'm happy that I bought 2 bottles of it!

Not towel drying- When I don't towel dry I don't get the frizz I normally get. My hair stays sleek and has the perfect amount of moisture for rollersetting.

Hair2Heaven End All- Great product, smells good eough to eat. I also like the Signature Samadhi oil too.

Miss:
Bone Marrow conditioner- Although this stuff made my hair feel stronger, I didn't care for the consistency or smell. I used it up and will not re-purchase.

Hollywood Beauty Olive Creme- Since I love the Carrot Creme I decided to give this another try. I don't like it. Alone it doesn't do a thing for my hair, combined with my beloved Africa's Best Olive oil lotion, it produced white gunk in my hair. I will be using this up as a foot creme. :ohwell:

Hits: My flexi 8 clip, I love it!! Hair2Heaven EndAll and Moisturizing Spritz, I love this combination!! Thanks Dlewis and Patient1:D ;)

hit/miss??

last night i tried castor oil for the first time, i added it to my DC Mizani Hyrdrafuse and sat under a heat cap for about an hour and a half. when i rinsed my hair i still felt the castor oil residue, but my hair did feel great, and my curls had bounce. i don't know if maybe I added too much castor oil and thats why I had the extra residue post rinse or is that just an effect of castor oil. anyone else have this experience, I don't know whether to add this to a hit or miss because I liked to moisturizing effects but hated the residue it left :perplexed

I'd say more than likely you used a little too much. I absolutely love to mix castor oil in all of my deep conditioners! Give it another try using just a little bit. When I use it, I use no more than a capful. A little goes a long way as you've just found out :)

Hits:
Vatika oil - I  this stuff!!
lamaur bone marrow treatment - My hair felt really strong after using it, but I did have to follow up with an intense moisturizing treatment.

Great hair minds think alike. :eyebrows2

Revisited Hit: Graham Webb Thermoplex Silk Reconstructor! Luv it! How could I forget about it?

Hits:
CHI Silk Infusion (that stuff is the bomb!)
Silicon Mix Treatment and Leave-in

Misses:

Lacio Lacio Leave-in (I don't know why but it doesn't seem to agree with my hair).

Mona Lisa....I am glad the Hair Maks you ordered was a  And of course I laughed at your last post.

Priestess
....Dang, I have been wanting to adventure over to the Silicon Mix side. (I am glad you enjoy your Hair2Heaven products also.)

Catina72....That is a great combo you have there. I love each and EVERYONE of those products. :yep:

Mochamadness
.....Vatika Oil...:yep: good stuff!!

chocolatesis....How did you use the Lacio Lacio??

Pixel Lady...I have never heard of that product and I am shutting my ears and eyes to the name of it. (Last thing I need is more products. I am running out of storage!) *okay, I might peek at it since you are a hair twin.* drats. :)

I just put it in my wet hair after DCing, and then air-dryed my hair. It did detangle well and make my hair soft, but not as well as Silicon Mix did. It also left my hair feeling kind of dry. I think Silcon Mix just works better for me. But I do want to try using Lacio Lacio for a roller-set.

 I know. I had no business buying some Giovanni Direct Leave-in, when I still have my Silicon Mix. I just had to try it since I've heard so many raves about it.

Hits:

Aveda Damage Remedy Line - Helps me get through my 19 weeks of stretching.

Misses:

Sulpher 8 Braid spray...nothing spectacular about it.

New Purchases:

WGO - so far, no problems or growth. *lol* smells bearable.
Dudley Creme Press - works ok..will try again.
Lotta Body Setting Lotion - did not like it on the first try. will dilute it some more and try again.

Ion clarifying shampoo. I like the citrusy scent. Gets the hair clean but not stripped.

Did my relaxer today(whew! needed it!!) Since I'm trying to use certain things up(i'm not a pj, honest!),

I had bought some white (clear) castor oil ages ago found it be really sticky even mixed with jojoba, so I put it in the back of hte closet where it langished for a bit.

Something told me to try it with amla today after I relaxed...and oh my my my! Bling, softness...my hair has LOTS of movement (my hair isn't even oily!!!)

This is a definite keeper! I used a teaspoon of each mixed together and I'm amazed my hair didn't rebel like it normally does with that much oil.

I understand that 'just HAD to' part. :yep:

HITS:

Generic Solutions Joico K-Pak Deep Penetrating Reconstructor (from Sally's) - worked great for me, my breakage is almost non-existent now. Plus, it's waaaaaaaaay cheaper than the "real" Joico K-Pak!

White Rain Tropical Coconut Conditioner - finally found it at Eckerd (seems to be the only place they sell it around here). Works great for CW, and I like that it's thicker than the Suave Coconut. I'm going to try it as the base in my moisturizing spritz next.

Coconut milk - I've posted on this before, but this stuff is excellent mixed with deep conditioners. I've even mixed it up with a cheapie condish for CW. It leaves the hair so unbelieveably soft and it adds great slip, no tangles at all! I need to get a case of this stuff, LOL.

I love that my hair responds so well to cheap products!

I def. want to try some coconut milk this weekend!

I'm going to say the Creme of Nature Nourishing Conditioner is a Miss only because my hair was really shedding afterwards. The feeling was just okay after the rinse. I'm on a staple mission. If it doesn't do something different in a good way or match my staples they are gone.

Me too. I picked up some yesterday at the Indian Store. I am so made they will not get the Alma Lite for me. They keep saying the supplier is not shipping it. I dont know though.

I was really looking for the Thai Kitchen brand but haven't come accross it yet. I still have 2 more grocery stores to look in.

White Rain Tropical Coconut User:

Would one of you ladies PLEASE post the UPC from the bottle for me. I want to see if I can get Kroger to order it. TIA!

I use this as a moisturizer for my flat ironed hair and a leave-in. It's good stuff!

Oh HIT:

Loreal Vive Nutri Gloss Conditioning treatment.

I am a conditioner whore, yall. I need a different one after every shampoo, even though I do go back to the good ones sometimes. Right now in my shower I have 4 different conditioners in rotation.

I really did lol for real. I just asked them about the WWTC and another lady is checking on the Coconut Milk for me. I will let you know.

Now, Priestess says Thai Kitchen Coconut Milk is the way to go. You know Mrs Priestess does not lead us astray! ;)
