Definate Hit: ApHogee Intensive Keratin Treatment (Only protien I've ever used that leaves your hair soft, silky, and slippy...it's awesome!)

Big Miss: JOICO K-PAK Moisture....:ban: can you say brillo pad? Why can't we PJs just stick with what we know works?

Chayil

Oooh, I just bought a bottle of this yesterday. I always like those little sample packets but that was just too little conditioner for my BSL hair. I broke down and a bought a bottle since my hair has been feeling a little stretchy when wet, I have been overconditioning it a bit with moisture rich products so I figure the Aphogee Reconstructor will help. Plus I love the ingriedients in it. Thanks for the review! :D

Ok, I'm back with more :)

Hits: Silk Elements Lye Relaxer Mild. My hair is in love !!!!!!!

Motions Moisture Plus Conditioner. I decided to try this, my mom uses this, and it provided major slip and I was 10 weeks post :)

Another Hit (and there will probably be more in the coming days, I's such a pj)

Roux Porosity Control conditioner

Yes, this is good stuff!!

Hits:
Doo Gro Stimulating Growth Oil, this is REALLY good and smells like pineapple

CON Nourishing Conditioner, great slip.

Going to try/buy:
Motions Moisture Plus conditioner
AB Kids Shea detangler

CANTU GROW STRONG strengthening treatment is a joy to apply after my washes! I have been using this thing for a hot minute and it defines my curls, softens, and shines after a wash when I am getting ready to twist my hair. I can't tell you guys yet about the overall health and growth of my hair due to this product because of some split end issues I have been dealing with for awhile, but otherwise- this thing is the truth!!

Hits:

Deep Brilliance Moisture Retention Shampoo
Fredric Fekkai Protein Spray Treatment
Mizani Nighttime Treatment

Hit -
Keracare Dry & Itchy Scalp Conditioner (thanks macherieamour ;) )

Miss -
Blowdrying once (now I know why I dont do it anymore)
UBH Dew spray

Jury still out on -
CON Clarifying Shampoo (this may not be working as well as I thought)

Revisiting -
Roller setting
Parnevu T Tree Oil

On the fence: Elasta QP Glaze

I just can't bear to put this down as a miss yet. I love the slicked down look it gives my edges but unfortunately it only lasts a minute. If I can't get the results to last longer, I'm afraid I'm going to have to put it down as miss. Hopefully I didn't waste my money and I can figure out how to "work it." :ohwell:

Hits:
Redken Ringlet 07
Defines curls/coils nicely--however contains cones

Misses:
Matrix Curls Shampoo & Spray Gel
I tried this line a couple of years ago (gift from stylist) and it didn't do anything--so this time around (it was on sale, couldn't resist buying it) still doesn't do anything for my hair

On the fence:
Matrix Curls Conditioner

HIT

Switching from Lye to No-Lye and selfrelaxing(Optimum N-L Regular)

My hair is silky ,soft and straight and finally I'am able to airdry it straight-straight.
I will never again go back to the salon for a relaxer!!!!!:D :D :D

NTM Leave In Cond.

Suave Sleek Shampoo and Cond.

My trick is I use it on wet hair and tie down. It works so well for me. I hope it does better for you cause I love this stuff.

Thanks for the tip girl! I'm not giving up hope yet on this, I'll try your technique out after my next wash. Thanks!

HITS:
CON shampoo
water mixed with coconut AND EVOO
Sunsilk HydraTLC 24/7 cream
BBD stretch

Misses:
Sunsilk DeFrizz conditioner for CO washes
BBD glass--(will try again later)

Hit/Revisit:
Roux Porosity Control- This stuff is serious business, it helped detangle my hair that decided to do a 360 on me last wk. which I believe the Queen Helene Garlic shampoo had something to do with. I have never in my entire life had tangles like that.

Nexxus Therappee- it has already in two shampoos restored the moisture.

Misses:
Queen Helen garlic shampoo it has dried my hair out like crazy. After the few poos w/it I noticed a difference but was determined to curve some summer shedding that has been going on, I should have know better to listen to my hair.

Mane-N-Tail detangler- Detangle who/what oh because that crap ain't do nothing but drip all over me.

Hits: Cantu grow strong for me
Cantu leave in conditioning repair creme for my 3yo daugther

Undecided: Cantu daily oil moisturizer: there's nothing terrible about it, I just
prefer the grow strong, it makes my hair softer

Hits:

Motions Moisture Plus Conditioner (a keeper, new staple)
ORS Glossing Polish (I love the smell)
Shea Butter on edges

  • Damage Remedy Scalp Renewal Treatment - an excellent moisturizing/strengthening treatment that left my hair soft and reduced shedding significantly

Okay, I'm back:

Hits:
Ultra Sheen Duo Tex
Motions Moisture Plus

STILL haven't tried:
Motions Oil Moisturizer Silk Protein
Lustrasilk Shea Butter Cholesterol

Misses:
None yet!!

Hits:
V05 Key & Lime Squeeze Clarifying Shampoo & Conditioner - Very gentle, not stripping at all
Sedal Anti-Sponge Treatment - Detangles well
Sedal Cermides Treatment - Makes my hair stronger

Dying to try: Frederic Fekkai ACV Rinse (Just cuz :p )

Hits:

Silk Elements Mega Cholesterol - $3.50 w/ Sally's card. This is very concentrated. If you are stretching or transitioning, it looses up the curl pattern. I tried it 4 times to make sure I wasn't dreaming. Yesterday I had a BAD ACV experience - my hair felt like straw. Today my 10 wk post hair is laying down:grin:

Africa's Best Organics Leave In Hair Mayo - $3.49 at local bss 6 oz. A little goes a long way. It really does feel soft on my 4a/4b hair, and I need a relaxer!
