Hits
Queen Helene Cholesterol Hot Oil Treatment - Left my hair and braids moisturized and lubricated

Scunci Micro-Fiber Turban - Dried my hair lightening fast with no drippies and none of my hair got caught in the fibers like they sometimes do with cotton or terry cloth towels

Hit

Tropical Aloe Vera Conditioner: I LOVE this stuff!! It makes my hair soooo soft it's rediculous! If I need mega moisture, this is the conditioner I will use. Definite staple.

Oh no! Well you know what they say, different heads react differently. This line has gotten good reviews, I think Allandra used to use it. So maybe it's just me. Let us know how it works for you, chica. :)

Okay Priestess. I will let you know how it works for me. I was in Trade Secret yesterday and the sales lady said the same thing you said about this line! I was like....Okay:perplexed

Shikakai Hebal Hair Oil followed by Shikakai Soap Bar
Wella Liquid Hair Restructurizer Leave in conditioner
BB Growth Serum
Minoval drops for hairline

are you using this with heat. i tried the tropical avacado conditioner and it was ok. im still on the fence with it. i'll try it again.

HIT:
APHRODITE CONDITIONING CAP

prior to using the cap, my hair was hard and dry from Henna/amla treatment last week. I applied my conditioners, and placed it on my head for 25 minutes, when i rinsed out my hair was beautiful, softer and yet strong. i will use this every week instead of my babyliss hood drier.

DABUR BIO AMLA OIL:
excellent softening and strengthening treatment

REVISITED HIT

motions moisture plus, gave me lots of slip

Hits:

VO5 Vanilla Mint Tea clarifying shampoo - big, gigantic hit!!!
Sunsilk Defrizz leave-in
Nature's Gate Jojoba Revitalizing conditioner - huge hit!
Wheatgerm Oil
Pumpkin Seed Oil

I have different conditioners -- some that worked, some that didn't -- that I poured in a gallon container and added about 24 ounces of a couple of my oil mixtures that did not work out for me. I slather on my hair after work, hold the blow dryer about 16 inches away from head and let the heat dry the oil laden conditioner in my hair and then I rinse thoroughly and seal with just a tiny bit of oil and just a wee bit of butter, which is totally absorbed into my hair by the morning. My hair had started getting poofy from the humidity and working out M-F and this particular combination has got my hair lying back down like I like it, so this way of co-washing is a big hit.

Okay -- not a big hit, but not a miss either:

White Rain Lavendar Vanilla conditioner
V05 Vanilla Mint Tea conditioner
Olive butter
Wheatgerm butter

Misses

None so far...

Revisited Hits:
Ebene Naturals Shea Butter Hair and Scalp Conditioner
Ebene Naturals Hair Regenerating Treatment
Hairobics Therapudic Shampoo (Ooooh, the peppermint! When I want a good cleansing and a "clean" slate)

Well, I've never used the Tropical Avocado. I used the Tropical Aloe Vera and I didn't use it with heat.

A big HIT for me has been:
Fructis Garnier Sleek and Shine Conditioner

Two thumbs up

Another HIT has been:
Neutrogena's Triple Moisture Silk Touch Leave In

I finally bought it and I like it. I use it after I spray my hair with my Dove Moisture Mist.

Using Saran Wrap instead of a plastic shower cap for my deep conditionings has also been a HIT.

No MISSES!

OMG MO! Your hair! It's almost BSL! Yaaay!:)

Off topic: Locks.....lub u.....but it is not... I was barely gonna claim APL...I'm not near BSL, I have no idea why it would appear that way...I have at least a good 5 inches to go before entering that neighborhood(hopefully by next summer I might get there...I have slow growin hair:ohwell: )
...
I just got into the APL neighborhood after 27 years on LHCF..... Let me let that marinate a minute...

{{{hair hug}}}

HIT HIT HIT:
Elasta QP Recovery Oil Moisturizer

WHYYY didn't anyone tell me about this stuff?? I got a sample of it in the mail, and I am in love. I think I like it better than my BB Oil Moisturizer.

Looks like I'm headed to the BSS tomorrow :wallbash:

how do you do it with the saran wrap? Do you wrap your hair then put the saran wrap around it?

That second pic of yours looks a lot closer than 5 inches. For real. :)

Hit:

Lekair Cholesterol mixed with DuoTex Protein as a pre-poo
ORS replenishing Pak mixed with Porosity Control as a deep conditioner.
Steam treatments under my bonnet dryer (Stole this from Macherieamour)

Revisited Hit:
Elasta QP Shampoo for Relaxed hair

Not a tangle to be found. Plus I've got strong hair without any dryness or brittleness from the protein. My hair is even holding a curl on it's own.

Misses:
Regis Olive Oil Line Conditioner and Leave-in. Nice Smell, but does absolutely nothing for the hair even though Olive oil/olive leaf appears pretty high on the ingredient list. I think the Leave-in actually made my hair drier.

I use the plastic bags from the supermarket...I mean, what am I to do with all those bags? They work like a charm!!!

Me Too! I have a cabinet full. They stay in place so much better for me.

Hit Revisited:

Kenra Moisturising Conditioner. What can I say? Its one of the best out there for me. My ended started to feel brittle and dry, so I grabbed a bottle of this stuff, used it as a DC. Now that dryness is just a memory.

I revisted this recently as well. It really is a good conditioner. Even the texture of it it nice and very easy to apply. It rinses very well, too.
