Fall 2011 Steaming Challenge

Just finished steaming with Hemp oil, touch of EVOO, and AOHSR. I put a plastic cap on and I'm rinsing it out in the am.

Steamed tonight with Pure Elements Intense Repairing Treatment, various oils, and honey for 40 minutes. Rinsed and now I'm air drying.

I've gotta get back on this. I miss it and so does my hair. I was trying to do it 2x week but for now I will aim for once a week.

Has anyone tried to steam with cornrows in? I was thinking about doing it on Tues or Weds with a plastic cap to keep my scalp from buring

Steamed yesterday - it has been two weeks..the longest I've gone without steaming since buying my steamer!

Steamed with rhassoul clay followed by a steam with Komaza's Intense Moisture Therapy. Exactly what me & ShayShay needed :yep:.

Steamed with Strillinah DC, kept it simple.

Can't wait for black friday so I can order some of my favorite DC.

I didn't steam last night, so I'm steaming now. I missed using my steamer so much! I had my hair in thicker twists than usual and I didn't want to risk ruining the style.

@JeterCrazed

First, I don't like to sleep with wet/damp hair. (I don't rest well). :sad:

Now on to Steaming:lick::

Steaming is emitted bursts of Steam into your Hair. Picture an Iron turned up. That Steam is so relaxing & therapeutic.

And it makes your Deep Conditioners perform to the 10th Power. Even the ones that you are/were doubtful of..all work better with Steam.

Heck! Errrthang works better with Steam.:lick:

Picture it....I'm doing it right now :look:
Is it wrong that I'm using my Rowenta handheld steamer and a Target shopping bag as a try-before-you-buy? :lol:
Don't look at me like that.

I would take a picture, but I don't want to end up on the bourgoisie edition of ghetto red hot :look:

QUESTION
Is steaming better than baggying overnight ?

Sent from my HTC Inspire™

Baggying my whole head doesn't work well for me so I don't know. I can baggy my ends and that seems to be ok. I like that the steaming process is short - 20 minutes and I'm done.

Is it to late to join. I have steamed twice and my hair is more moisturized and shinier. I will be doing a video review on my blog in my siggy.

ouch, that would hurt. Not sure if putting on a cap would deminish the steam penetration.

ooooh ive nvr thought of steaming with a clay on :lick:
do you mix your clay with something specific?

Steamed with nourish oil tonight. It took a lot of me sitting and staring at the steamer before I actually put it together and sat under it :look:.

SimJam I forgot I even had one of those until you just said something. My hair shed a tear and started screaming no when I read you response

Doesn't it!:lol: She also has: Olive, Wheat & Berry (which sounds like Cereal) And a Sweet Milk & Honey Moisturizing DC'er,a Peach Syurp and a Strawberry Yogurt Smoothie.

Right. Very Foodie.:yep:

Steaming today with AORM. I think this stuff darkened my hair a bit. It looked like I did a black rinse last time.

I was straightened for a week and I'm hoping I don't have heat damage. My curls are lookin a lot more 3c than usual. :perplexed
