Do You NEED Hair To Be Attractive?

Nope, I don't need hair to be attractive. I rocked a fade for about 10 years and was fly. I got complimented all the time. I think I look better with short hair.

I feel less attractive right now if I did a BC. I rocked, in my opinion very well, a short pixie Halle Berry cut for about 3-4 years.

I was about 15lbs lighter back then in high school. So now that I am 15lb heavier I am very self conscious that if I went to that cut, I would look fat and unattrative.

My friends, family say I would look so cute and I have the face for it, but I just don't feel it.

I saw a pic of myself, not smiling from this past weekend, and I was like, "Yeah... my face looks fat! NO BC FOR ME! :nono:"

So I do find a bit of security in my long hair, like in a way I can hide my weight gain. Does that make sense???

I think it depends on the beholder. When I have short hair, I don't feel really happy because I love long hair and the creativity it offers, while short hair bores me. Yet when I BC'd my neighbor was simply smitten and couldn't stop giving me compliments, as were a couple of coworkers. And my first ever BF who taught me what devotion/love/faithfulness was all about, was a 6-foot tall tennis player with looks to die for, while I was a chubby, short, bal'-'eaded gyal who didn't think much of her looks And yet dude thought I was the most beautiful person ever and would not give any other girl the time of day. So he found me attractive with short hair.

Some people like long hair, some like it short. If the question is, do you FEEL more attractive with hair than without, the answer is YES. Am I REALLY more attractive with hair than without? It depends on who you ask.

I used to feel that way when I was a teenager, that's why I used to always wear my hair down even on salon days. I just felt that was the way to be.

Years ago, I just got tired of wearing rollers every night to bed. My scalp feels so relieved.

Now 99 percent of the time, I wear my hair in a protective style (bun). I don't care what anyone says. It's about convenience now. I don't even focus on my hair, because there are more important things in life to be concerned about, but I don't neglect it entirely.

I still get compliments, though.

I have a big ole head and I think I look great with long or short hair. It is all in the attitude and I have plenty of that.:lachen::lachen::lachen::lachen::lachen:

Yes I do! I have a gigantic odd shape head that is super flat in the back. There are not to many women who looks good with short hair or none at all with the exceptions of Halle and Amber Rose. I love Halle with short hair oppose to long and Amber Rose works a bald head like no other.

I either need very short, well moisturized hair or longer kinked/curly or wavy. The in between does NOT suit my face at all.

you dont need it, but it just suits some people better then other IMO, im natural and when i was rocking my TWA (im in braids now) i think longer hair made me look different, slightly better ... slightly, i look good regardless ...:cool2:

Attractiveness is an intangible quality...an essence..its true state is beyond physical dimensions although it is reflected as such with superficial confines of what it is and or should be...being attracted to something or someone/thing being attracted to you usually stems from something more inherent rather than something as inconsequential as hair( although I'm a bit obsessed with my own hair it lives outside my essence)....so in my opinion what I put out to world is what makes me attractive to some and maybe not as attractive to others...my hair has nothing to do with it....if you asked if I thought someones hair can make them pretty...something I deem as a superficial and completely physical concept...yes I think it can aid in heigthening your appearance but being attractive is a different type of beast

Yes, I do feel like I need my hair to FEEL attractive...to be attractive, I dunno.
For me personally, my hair makes me feel more feminine.

Im not even going to lie. Yes I do. Cutting off all my hair twice let me see my face. Lets just say that I dont like it. I know that I have the potential to be moderatly attractive, but hair does play a role in that somewhat. Im not all into this false confidence some people have. You guys know what I mean. Dont even act like you dont. I know Im not the most physically beautiful/attractive person in the world and I come to reason with that. All I can hope for is to be somewhat pretty. Hair just helps a whole bunch.

No I can go either way.Short hair tends to highlight my features more and longer hair softens my look (If that makes sense).

I think I would still look attractive with short hair. Howerever, I feel more attractive with long hair.

I don't think I am less attractive without hair but I feel like I look more boyish. Still attractive... but in a little boyish kind of way, if that makes sense. Lol.
A pretty boy maybe? Hahaha.
I am one of the ones who can't pull off super-short hair unless I have a swoop bang or something, especially since I have a round face and big ol forehead.

I think you would be cute with short hair.

Generally, I don't like really short hair on myself. Thats why I am transitioning w/o BCing. I like how I look with cute neck length styles, people are always complimenting me at that length. but every time I've ever had long weaves, I felt it took away from my attractiveness. So right now, I'm thinking medium length is the best look for me.

As I get older though, I find myself getting more and more confident in my appearance and stepping outside my comfort zone as far as hair styles, maybe I will feel differently in a few years about rocking super short hair.

i think most women look nice with short to long hair.

but, i personally don't think a shaved or fade cut is flattering to anyone (just my honest opinion). you have to do a whole lot of extra stuff to ensure you look feminine no matter how "pretty" you are.

i think long hair is very sexy/stunning on me myself, but that does not mean i would not be cute with shorter, well-groomed hair (like a chin length blunt cut). i am just not willing to cut my hair and i long for my hair to touch between my waist and my booty!

Girl with those dimples and that cute face, with or without hair Im not seeing boyish nowhere!!!

I think you would be cute with short hair.

Wow... thanks so much ladies. I'm just now seeing this.
I have had short hair before where it was tapered in the back and like EL on the sides, but I still had a swoop bang. My forehead and chubby cheeks ain't no joke! Lol.

my hair always looks short anyway (b/c of shrinkage- plus i live with a puff on my head). i've gotten compliments when my hair was in puffs, when it was relaxed, and when it was in braids (though my family hated the braids and the puffs). at the end of the day, everyone finds different things to be attractive so there will always be someone who thinks you look hotter with short hair while another person finds the longer-haired version of you to be sexier. i personally feel more attractive with some hair on my head - i could never do a fade etc. even though i wish i had the guts.

I do not need hair to be attractive. I have rocked short hair for many years and felt MOST attractive in it, and many people have told me so. I cannot stand long weaves and it shows and hardly anyone compliments me on that. DH even told me that he would rather see my hair around SLish rather than APL or even WL(he doesn't care for long hair on me). I have always said I will try this long hair thing out and if it doesn't work, I am giving it the boot, LOL.

I think i'm pretty wearing a scarf or my regular hair done. if my hair is jacked, long or short, I don't feel as attractive. Sometimes my scarf matches my outfits :D so I get compliments that I look good w/ a scarf on, even rollers. Lol....but I don't feel attractive if my hair is lookin like it will scare children.

I dont like short hair on me...but I know I look good either way...so no I dont need hair..but I prefer hair..

I think I look attractive completely bald, super short hair, relaxed, natural, long whatever. I don't need hair to be attractive. I've had it all.

Well, since most of my life I've had short hair, I'd say nope! Obtaining long hair is a beauty enhancement for me. If I were to rock an Amber Rose short cut, I think I'd still look cute.
