Trader Joes nourish and spa conditioner!!!!! This stuff is wonderful! And it is $2.50 (they just raised the price, it was $2) This is my new replacement for Giovanni's 50:50. My hair is so buttery soft....

Amla paste - I mixed Amla with hot water and coconut oil applied it to my hair and let it sit for about an hour. My hair so strong!

My shea butter, almond oil, mowrah butter mixture (MV grease) - I melted the butters and added oil, then let it harded. This is great for my ends and my hair when it is wet. It makes my hair shiny and soft. I have found a way to use up the 1lb of shea butter I have.

Proclaim Heat protectant serum - this stuff is wonderful! It is better than the SE protectant and that is good. This and my Solia flat iron had my air dried hair swinging!!!

I would like to give a shout out to HoneyDew for the Proclaim and Dlewis for the Amla paste. Priestess I think you suggested the Nourish and Spa, so biggups! Y'all are some serious pushers but my hair looooves you for it.

Undecided

Mastercuts Cpak treatment - my hair was loving this as I was applying it, I left it on for about a half hour.... no heat, when I rinsed out my hair wasn't really soft, it kind of felt like I hadn't used conditioner at all. I am going to try it again, I am going to apply more this time, I might add oil and use heat.

I read her post and was like Dayum, Dayum, Dayum!!!!
*shakes brown fists in the air*

I have been curious about the Sidr Tree and the Honeybush Hair Tea Gel for a minute now...

*sigh*

*trying to block out her mention of the H2H products*

*I don't know what is happening to me....*

MonaLisa.....You have to get these. It's just a must. I am sorry. I tried to deny the pressure and put them on the back burner. Naaaa, I will repurchase all of these once I run out. They really are that good!

(I am sorry. I am taking Priestess crown of product pusher for just a few mins here.):p

MissVee.....WOW, I meant to come back and post on the Cpak and I forgot. This is exactly how mine felt. I used heat with it the second time and I was wondering if I should have left the heat alone with this product. Once I rinsed my hair, it wasn't soft anymore. I did a final rince with V05 Milk and Strawberry (or Strawberry milkshake....whatever it's called) conditioner and my hair was soft again from the V05?)

These are March and April's since I did not post in the March Hits and Misses thread.

Hits:

Aussie Mega conditioner - way better than the Moist, according to my hair.

Aussie Moist conditioner - very nice and mosturizing, but the Mega is more so.

Luster's Renutrients Replenishing Style Creme - after reading the Vitapointe thread, I went on the hunt for it and could not find it. I found this and it is a very nice hair dressing. I do not usually purchase things with mineral oil, beeswax and/or petroleum, but it also has coconut oil, olive oil, avocado oil and panthenol and my hair really likes it, so I will stop hunting for Vitapointe.

LaBella Banana and Rainforest Water conditioner - it leaves my hair extremely silky and detangled, but it smells like banana Now and Laters. Now, I love me some Now and Laters, but I can't stand smells that are overly-sweet.

Babassu Oil - I added this to my big tub of moisturizing conditioner mix and it went from hyper-moisturizing to uber-moisturing.

Ramtirth Brahmi Oil - There were no ingredients listed on the bottle (but I found this after doing a search on it: brahmi, coconut oil, dudhi, lemons, coriander, valo roots, rose, kachuro, sandalwood, amla, sitalchini, kapurkachali, nagarmoth, uplet, damaro, nagod, gahunla, vaj roots, marvo, and sahadevi). It is coconut oil-based with no smell. It is a very nice oil.

Emu Oil - I have had some for over a year, but never used in my hair, just added it to my scalp concoction. It makes my hair sooooo soft. It leaves my hair feeling conditioned, if that makes any sense.... However, emu mixed with Jamaican black castor oil (I thought this would be good for my length and ends) was a bad idea for my hair as it left it very tacky and coated. I had to dilute with other oils like peach kernel...camellia...to get it right.

No misses...

P.S. Miss Vee: I love Mowrah butter. It is one of the better butters to me, but I do not see it mentioned much.

There is my oil queen!! Where you been hiding.

Man.......I meant to post on EMU oil. I just got it in the mail and used it last night. Now, I wouldnt use this on my hair (only because of the price tag on it) but my skin.........:D I was expecting this to be all oily and greasy. This stuff went right in my skin and I didnt end up looking like I had crisco on my face. I was amazed. Really amazed. Cost will never be an issue when it comes to this oil for my skin. When I woke up this morning, my face felt sooo good.

(Special thanks goes out to JLove74. I would have never used this if it wasnt for your Retin-A Post!)

Letitia: I'm still here. I didn't post much in March for some reason.

I use it on my face, too and it is very nice. My foster cocker spaniel got spooked (the first couple of hours after I had retrieved him from the dog pound) and scratched me really badly in the face. My face got really red, swollen, etc. and the straight emu oil mixed with a few drops of tea tree oil took away the pain, redness and swelling.

I hardly ever put anything on my face because I think all the baths I take (steam, smile) keeps my face soft and clear, but that emu oil really is something because the right side of my face is very supple and the left side is just normal (smile). I ordered 16 ounces and I can tell you that it will last a long time. This is one time that I did not over-order and I am glad because this will last a good long time.

Man, you and Letitia got me wondering about that emu oil. I was eyeing that on the Camden Grey website sareca posted last week. I'm **really** cutting back on the new products, though (but I could justify this one because I'd use it on my skin, not my hair....:) ).

BTW, good luck with your latest rescued doggie! Pound puppies & kitties are the best. I wouldn't trade my adopted cats for the world.:D

Dangit, I can't believe that I haven't had any posts for April. I had been staying away to avoid temptation.
(taking notes on LHCF'ers recommendations!)

*Yeah, I like how you justified it too! *

*dammit..I still haven't had a chance to make it to Trader Joe's. Will do before the month is out...

No hits this month:(

Two misses...Motions Moisture Plus. Did absolutely nothing to my hair. I tried it so many ways and nothing. I was this close to getting a big tub of this stuff just based on how it was raved over here. I'm POed because I really was expecting this to work for me. The other miss, ORS Olive Oil moisturizer in the bottle. I had to mix this crap with a ton of other stuff just to get some moisture. My hair HATES this stuff on its own.

I bought some Hesh Alma powder and some henna from the local Indian store this week both boxes were about a dollar and some change a piece. I plan on using it this weekend. We'll see how it goes:look:
