(Got me looking all online for a Trader's Joe! lol)

Priestess just be chillin like this... :sekret: :poke: :blondboob with hair product recommendations ....and then you're sitting there like...:scratchch :fan: :assimilat

I found the Trader Joe's here. I almost feel scared to go...I may have to allot at least a window of two hours....hair products and food in the same place - my two weaknesses...that will be like sensory overload for me...

NTM hair mask. This feels amazing in the hair, but after I rinse I just feal like I coated the hair. Does not feel like real conditioning to me.

Man! Everyone says the same thing about this product.

Okay, we dont have one. I will stick with the Aveda Black Malva.

Is this the stuff that comes in the bottle or the jar? I have the jar, but I haven't used it enough to review.

I have the bottle.I think I will use alittle if I decide to flat iron or something. Hopefully you will have a better experience with it than I did.My hair thinks it sux.

This seems to be the reaction of quite a few. I've always suggested that this product be used in moderation - on the instructions it states to apply a small amount to wet hair. The question is, is the product being applied that way...or...it can just be a case of non-product agreement - what works for some heads, just doesn't work for others...:ohwell:

I've been using this African Pride moisturizing cream stuff. It's kind of a miss. It leaves my hair smelling nice and feeling soft but no Elasta QP Mango Butter bling. I'm kind of broke now so I'm using up what I've got before I order more stuff.

But I want my SHINY back!

Also my soft bonnet attachment broke miss :( I had such a fit y'all don't even know I had my flexirods in perfectly but air dried it was a hot fluffy freaking mess.

Hits
Elucence MB conditioner - great slip and detangling action. I love it as a leave in
Amla and Brahmi oil pre-poo - my shedding has ceased and my hair felt AMAZING after washing and conditioning.

Hit:

Aphoghee Intensive Keratin Reconstructor
I really like this. My hair felt stronger after using it and it left my hair feeling soo soft. I will buy the bottle (I got the little packet) once I'm finished my cpr reconstructor.

Miss:

ORS No Lye Reg relaxer:
This relaxer is okay but not for me. I like the results where relaxing is concerned as my hair straightened. There was some very minor underprocessing but the underprocessed hair is about 95% relaxed so I'm satisfied. I really don't like the fact the there is no color indicator for the neutralizing shampoo when washing the relaxer out. I also don't like that there is no pre-treatment that comes with the relaxer like my profectiv relaxer(breakfree is used). I just used some of my own con. The ORS replenishing con left my hair feeling waxy and coated. I wasn't feeling that either. Lastly, I just took one my rollers out and hair feels a little dry. I'm not feeling that either although there is no breakage.

I'll be going back to using Profectiv relaxer. After using ORS, nothing beats Profectiv imo.

Revisited: Keracare Hydrating Detangling Shampoo (For some reason the last time I used it, it seemed to dry my hair out and not detangle. I clarified first this time and my hair was soft and mostly detangled without the coated feeling from Softsheen Carson Breakthru Shampoo.)

Hit: Fantasia Tea Tree/Paul Mitchell Tea Tree shampoo diluted with water (This burned my eye but it really cleaned all the gunk off my scalp and hair. I hadn't washed my hair in two weeks.)

Hit: Softee Coconut Oil Grease (This grease was like a dollar, but it makes the new growth soft.)

No misses

Ginormous hit!!!! Amla powder mixed with Brahmi powder. My hair comes out super strong and super soft. I think my hair loves "exotic" hair products. :)

Hits: Qhemet Biologics Hydrating Balm & Olive detangler, Silicon Mix, Chi Silk Infusion, ORS gloss/serum thingy

Misses: Wen, I'm gonna have to sell this on E-bay or something

Verdict still out: Miss Keys, Emergencia, Pink Chi Flat Iron and Pink Blow Dryer

HITS!!!!

Henna Recipe:
50g henna
conditioner
olive oil
coconut milk

I followed it up with my new HG conditioner, I don't have to search anymore!!!!
Regis Olive Oil conditioner, thanks neli711

ME LOVE TO HENNA NOW!!!!!

Hit: Lacio, Lacio :)
My hair really likes this leave in. It makes it easy to detangle and so smooth when I air dry.

Hit: Aveda Universal Styling Creme
Excellent moisturizer. Thanks to all the ladies that recommended this.

No misses. :)

revisited: Aveda sap moss shampooo/conditioner.

I even took a pic (DLewis better get up in here before I lose my nerve!)

This is a keeper, I may rotate these one on occassion with the staples for a change of pace.

I may have to revisit a few things in my regimine and pull a few things out. just to see if I can do without them or not (notably Elasta QP for the summer) because I'll be honest, I'm really ready to knock a few things out and seriously simplify all the way around.

Beating a Dead Horse Hit:

I can't stop singing the praises of CON red label shampoo. I think I am going to buy the biggest size I can find.:look:
After I got out of the shower, my hair didn't even feel like MY hair. It was so soft lord, I just wanted to keep on touching it...:)

I sooo love my Softee Coconut Oil. No bad review of petroleum based products is going to turn me off from this. And you absolutely cannot beat that price. This is a much slept on product.

I love this stuff too!!

Fantasia IC Olive Oil Serum: Love this stuff! It's very light and helps keep my hair feeling smooth, silky and moisturized! This will be a staple.

Wire Mesh rollers: Love, Love, love these! My hair dried so quickly with these and my hair came out nice and straight. Although it took some practice , I really liked using the roller pins that came with them as opposed to the clips. They helped keep the roller very, very secure and the roots nice and taut.

Hit: BTZ Noodlehead, V05 & Suave Conditioners for conditioner washes, Boundless Tresses

Revisited Hit: Qhemet Biologics Olive Detangling Cream, Sebastian Potion #9, Fantasia IC Gel (the blue one)

Miss: None, really.

ETA: I would like to add Giovanni Direct Leave-in and Lily of the Desert Aloe Vera Jelly to my list of Hits. I've tried Giovanni Direct Leave-in in the past on my relaxed hair. I didn't really care for it then, but now, on my natural hair, I like it.

MISS: Aveda Black Malva Shampoo. I just did not like it that much. Nothing bad, it just isn't my Porosity Control shampoo.

First, your hair...

Second, co-sigining...that's one of the new ish joints in my hair staple arsenal, love it!

Let's see...

Organics Olive Oil serum
Aveda anti-humectant pomade
Fermodyl 619
LacioLacio - didn't like at first and just tried it again after months. Love it!
ORS Olive Oil Lye - regular first time I ever used it. Excellent!
Organix conditioners

more hits....

Nexxus humectin conditioner- sooo moisturizing and detangling

Fantasia IC Frizz buster cream - I use it on wet hair as a leave in after my detangling leave in, it gives my hair a lot of moisture and prepares it for blow drying and flat ironing (helps with relaxer stretching, I'm at 12 weeks post). I add the fantasia IC straightening serum on top of that and after I flat iron my hair is sooooo moisturized and smooth

MAJOR HIT: Alfaparf Semi Lino Essential Treatment For Extremely Dry/Fragile & Very Dry/Damaged Hair (Kit).

This stuff is a dream. I am 7 months post relaxer and I insist on getting rollersets until my hair tells me otherwise :look: . Anyway, my hairdresser said she had something that would make my hair really soft. She mixed the Semi de lino conditioner and oil in a bowl and applied it to may hair, no heat, for about 10 minutes. She rinses with a little water, then proceeded to comb through with ease. My hair was like butter! She didn't even have to detangle in sections as usual. I'm in love.

Of course I told her to order some for me, but this stuff is extremely expensive :ohwell: . I may have to invest in it though...
