Kind of did things backwards. Won't go through the whole story but I finally got my ring this weekend

Tryna play this numbers game with my guest list so I was wondering:

(a) how many people you invited to your wedding and
(b) how many people attended/will attend.

Newlyweds and brides with their RSVPs in please chime in too!!

I would like to see the ratio of invitees vs. attendees.

We are date twins!!

We are doing destination wedding. I have the venue locked (off site from the resort), now I am waiting for the travel agent to get back to me with the contract for the resort.

Currently as we speak, I am organizing our guest list into households so I can figure out how many STDs I need to get made. (I am not enjoying this process lol)

We (as in me lol) choose luggage tag magnets as the STD.

We are inviting over 200 ppl, hoping no more than 60 ppl come!:drunk:
 
Got a lot accomplished this weekend. Save the dates ordered, venue secured, DJ booked, ordered engagement photo prints and books for our families. I feel accomplished! It was fun doing wedding stuff together. Usually it's just me and his mom.

I got my dress and the bridesmaid dresses last month! I also got my DJ last month too. The only vendors I have left to secure is the florist and cake shop.

Save the dates went out last week, so now everyone knows.

There are 249 days until my wedding! 8/16/15
 
i'm kind of over wedding planning and this expensive as.s party. a part of me is about ready to lose deposits, wear my fabulous dress and elope. ugh! i would totally do this, except i want everyone looking at me in said fabulous dress when i walk down the aisle :look:

I feel like I'm wasting money on a florist. I bought my bouquets and wedding party bouquets from someone else. She wants someone to come in and do the table cloths and etc. I made my own arrangements. I just feel like she's overpriced just to decorate the church. But hey if my mom wants to so be it.
 
Vistaprint having a 35% off sale today and tomorrow.

One place I am planning to not splurge is STDs and invitations, especially invitations. I usually just throw them out anyway after the wedding. But I do keep magnet save the dates. Magnetstreet.com has a nice ones that I like, but the vista print sale is really enticing.

The luggage tag magnets that I really want are sadly out of the budget I want to spend.

I got my STD 50% off on shutterfly. The stamps to mail them cost more!

I agree on not spending too much. It gonna get recycled anyway.

Don't skimp on the photographer. The day is going to go so fast and you won't remember half of it. The pictures will be all you have to remember everything in the end! They are what you will have to pass on to your children.

Got my save the dates ready to go last night. My hand hurts from all the writing! Glad to have that done though. Now I can get ready for Christmas.

Yeah, it's not cheap! For me, it's worth it though. I could have asked friends who do photography but I didn't want to take any risks. I interviewed several and went over portfolios until I found one I love. Our photographer specializes in weddings. He did our engagement pics and they came out perfect.

Definitely make sure you love the style of your photog. If you look at their work and don't like it then chances are you won't like your pics.

April 2015 here. Booked and paid deposit for everything except DJ and Videographer which we'll be doing end of the month. My parents are hosting meaning we have to do everything at his pace. All extras like extra outfits, shoes etc, im paying for. Invitations are in production right now. Just ready to get it over with.
 
August 2015 bride here! We're having a destination wedding - inviting 60 people to the wedding and 200+ people to the party we're having back home after the wedding. Booked most things - photographer, caterers, venue, decorators, bought wedding dress and bridesmaid dresses. I'm making invites in January but sent out STDs months ago. I LOVE wedding planning which I guess makes me a bit weird lol. But it's a nice distraction from my work and I've been planning my wedding in my head since I was seven.

I agree. I did find someone who pics I love for about 2k and that includes the "trash the dress session" we are going to do the day after the wedding

I'm having a destination wedding so this would be a bit tough. I'm going to get someone there to do them
