If it doesn't smell good, chances are I won't use it... or mix it with something that smells decent. I do use a few stinky things:
Labomba products
Silicon Mix Products
For me it was BT - it really did increase the rate of hair growth, but I could smell the stench of the sulphur even with the scented product or adding essential oils - no such luck. It was always stinky stuff. It is important to me that my hair smell good and DH loves it when it does. He was a trooper throughout my C7G period when I dosed with BT daily. I don't mind one bit making sure that when he sticks his nose in my hair it seems good.
It is very important to me because I love that my hair smells good after shampooing. But, I may compromise when a product is good. I love my Lustrasilk Olive oil Cholesterol, but I don't particularly care for the smell. It does not stink but I just don't care for it. Kinda like a perfume you test - not stinky, but just not your thing. But, I deal with it because my hair responds so well.
If you want to cholestorol use Lekair Cholesterol Plus. It smells like cherries![]()
I like that the Lustrasilk Shea Butter and Olive Oil ones are mineral oil free. I have not problem with mineral oil generally, but I don't really like them in my deep conditioners. All of the Lekair ones have Mineral oil I think. The Lustrasilk Shea Butter one smells great without mineral oil but it is not as thick as the Olive Oil one, which I prefer. So I apply a little of the Shea butter one first and then the thicker olive oil one. The shea butter one tones it down a bit. The combo has been wonderful, but I smell that olive oil one for DAYS! It is not too bad, but not light and flowery as I prefer my conditioners to be.
I just DC'd with this.It smells good and makes my hair super soft.I havent seen the shea butter. I will have to try and use that, sounds good for my natural hair.
Me too!I actually hate the smell of Silicon Mix but I love what it does with my hair. But a nice scent is a great thing...

I got my mink oil today and its the only oil that my hair likes but it smells like animals![]()
If you don't mind me asking, where did you purchase your mink oil?
How much for how many ounces?
For things that will stay in my hair, i.e. sprays, moisturizers, leave-ins etc. I really do care about the smell.
As far as oils or shampoos, I'm not so picky.
But that Vatika oil??? Awww man, it smelled like farm animals and I just couldn't take it![]()
If I lived alone, I probably would use all the smelly products that everyone says work, but my dh has told me many times not to come to bed with anything smelly on my head and has even gotten up out of bed when i used mtg one time (never used it again), so i only use products that smell good...
