Do You Smell Test Before You Buy Hair Products?

I have to like the smell of a product without a doubt. The worst thing for me is going through a day smelling something coming from my head that I cant stand. The only exception is Mane and Tail Conditioner. I cant stand the smell of it for my life, but I mix it with some other nice smelling conditioner because my hair loves it so much.
