i bought bbd stretch for about $50
i stopped using it years ago and don't believe expensive is always better
i do pay more for quality products - like aubrey organics, kiss my face, jason
but i think they are moderately priced

however i have been crazy enough to spend alot of money on tools
like brushes $70, flat irons- $80 (2yrs) and a blowdryer -$90(4 years)
but i still have them and i believe spending more on tools
is usually better quality & longevity

i think the most i've spent on conditioner was $22 plus tax for ojon hydrating conditioner. it was good, but for the price it definitely didn't live up to the hype for my hair:lol: i get better results for cheaper with aussie or aubrey organics.

well I like to try new things even if it's alot of money, (I am a serious product junkie I need therapy lol) but I love trying new things I actually look forward to it, it's oure insanity according to my husband lol, but the most expensive thing I bought was a 16 oz bottle of pure ultra emu oil for 85.00:eek: it is totally worth it though, I also bought miss jessies buttercreme for 58.00 and I bought nexxus emergency for 49.95 those are the most expensive things I bought, I love miss jessies and I love nexxus I will be repurchasing if it works then I'm happy :)

I paid $25 for Kinky Curly Curling Custard which was worth it because it lasts a long time and is a pretty good product. I also paid $20-something on Elucence conditioner (a huge bottle)--worth it because it lasts forever and is a great conditioner...except it has parabens in it. :perplexed:ohwell:

Nexxus emergencee 16.9oz for CAN $54.99----worth it

Kerastase Masquintense 150ml for about CAN $38----I have it for about 8 months and havent used yet.

Chi Turbo blow dryer for CAN $194---- I like the blow dryer, it does a good job...but maybe a could find something cheaper that does the same job :perplexed. This blow dryer better last me forever.

Verifen Complex Advanced Conditioning Treatment for $59.95 (minus 10% discount) plus shipping for a 40 ounce tub and that was years ago. Now the price is $69.95.

When I heard my beloved staple poo: CON green label was being discontinued, I was heartbroken. I couldn't find it anywhere. UNTIL I was in a BSS and saw it: a whole shelf! It was like a mirage in a desert  I grabbed basically all of them! It turned out to be about a case of shampoo- like 12 bottles at $5 something each bottle. I took them up to the counter and the lady got all excited- I think I made both of our days that day!

I don't know if a Pibbs 514 and a CHI turbo flat iron (w/ temp control) are considered products, but I did buy them just for my hair :look:

Since this thread mentioned PRODUCTS specifically I won't mention any hair styling tools or appliances.

When I was relaxed my relaxed hair was breaking left and right. I called my stylist and she told me to go and get Affirm Protein Conditioner something like that and it was around 23 bucks including tax.

Since those days I haven't spent over $12 bucks for any hair product. And none of my staples are over that price. I use AO conditioners and TJ Nourish Spa. I also use Elasta DPR 11 and H-Two, plus some couple things here and there like kid organics cream or lock and twist gel, but don't cost over $10.

Now what goes on my face? That is a whole different thing. I've spent money on products regarding my face, but always end back up at the basics that just seem to work.

I think the most I've spent is like 16 bucks and it was most likely for some conditioner

I've bought the liter-size Joico Moisture Recovery, which was about $25 I think. That's about it. I think most things that I buy are in the $10-$20 range.

ojon restoritive treatment was like $55.
ojon revitalizing mist $27.

the mist is a staple and it goes pretty fast.

i dont mind spending money as long as it works.
my staple moisturizer are between $10-$18 and thats good for me.
the moisturizer that i love that is only the expensive side is miss jessies baby buttercreme. so i will only buy that once a year.
it seems to me that now that im natural i can find great products for little money. when i was relaxed everything had to be of salon quality.

I paid $60.00 for Keratase Oleo Relax. And I just paid $50.00 for BBD Stretch and somewhere around that for Linange Restructuring Mask.:yep:

BBD Stretch--$50.00
Mizani BB 4lb--$25.00
Mizani Poo and Conditioner Liters--$20 and up
Linange Masque (hated it!)--$37.00 something
Mizani Moisturefuse Tub--$32.00
Rusk Smoother half gallon--$20.00

My hair is baller status!

Oyin Honey Hemp Conditioner...18$ plus shipping. I wish they made liter sizes because I'd definitely buy them.

About $45 on a Gallon of Joico k-pak reconstructing daily conditioner (on eBay). It's great. I still love it. It leaves my hair so strong.

I don't really buy pricey hair products. Most of my expensive beauty stuff is skin-related. Let's see, I think the priciest would have to be Keracare Humecto for about $12. Didn't see the big deal and didn't buy again. My next major hair purchase is going to be a straightner so that will def be at the top of my list.

$35 for 2.4 oz of QOD gold BKT. I definately got my money's worth. I got 2 applications out of it and I love it!!! I'm buying a whole bottle of it next and that's going to run me $150+.

My most expensive purchase was for Terax Crema Conditioner. I must say that it has been worth the price, I've had great results from it and it was a large container.

I use their clarifying shampoo and its great too. I'll have to try the conditioner but for $20 a bottle I'll have to wait for an ULTA coupon.

I probably answered this incorrectly, because I said 35 dollars or higher, but I'm really thinking about my two flatirons that cost me 200 dollars a piece. As far as actualy conditioners, etc, I wouldn't pay anymore than 25 dollars. I think it was msa who talked about using all natural products...I have found my hair responds more when I use grocery store products (that definitely are not 35 dollars and higher) than when I spend lots on salon brands that basically use the same ingredients anyway (along with preservatives).

I bought Aveda damage remedy and dry remedy both came to 52.00. The dry remedy was definately not worth it. Damage remedy ok, but wont repurchase.
Alterna caviar from back in the day 50.00 condish - not worth it though my hairdresser still swears by it she cant convince me to repurchase.
My new expensive love is Joico and now that I stocked up when JCP was having a sale, I wont be paying full retail price for that again, I'll wait until the next sale.

The most was when I bought Mega-Tek and that's the most I'll ever pay for anything. That really isn't needed, all my produces are good and inexpensive

I spent 40 bucks on Aveda Dry Remedy...then I had buyer's remorse so I took it back before using it! I couldn't justify that much money on a conditioner! 20 is about as much as I can do right now!

The most I've ever spent on a hair product is $25 for the KBB Luscious Locks Hair Mask. It overmoisturized my hair, but it's still an exceptional product.

Other than that, most of my products are relatively inexpensive. The next most expensive ones are KBB Deep Condish ($16), Earthly Delight Herbal Shampoo ($15.99) & JC Hair Nourishing Cream ($14.99). The regular retail price of the hair cream is $22, but the BSS that I go to sells it for $14.99. I'd still buy it for $22, though, b/c it works great for me.

I don't put a price limit on hair products...and handbags.

I just bought phytospecific relaxer for $60. That's the most expensive product I've ever purchased. But I also have an ultra chi that I paid about $130 or so on. I barely even use it now. It's what jacked up my hair and drove me here.
