Okay second...I wish I could find that hair guide that shows the growout timeline for hair...

My hair is not even all the way around. My hair is definitely going to be in layers...for me...I'm shooting for armpit in the back....that for me..would be measuring from crown to ends....with my ends hitting where my armpits are...

Okay, so I should measure from the back and not the front? Just wanna make sure I know when to start braggin' ;)

When your hair reaches the top of your armpit from the back.

Found the chart! I measure from the back (crown, top of the head, to ends), some measure from the beginning of their hairline to their ends.

I gotta hit that 17-18" inch range...

Hope this chart can be useful....

Yes it is, Dang that's alot of hair to grow...popping a vitamin right now....
 
I am currently at 11 inches from crown but I am 17 from hair line I have about 4 1/2 more inches b4 I am at my armpit!! 18 on mye is brastrap!

Shoulder/Armpit Challengers...we have now entered Month 6-June....
We're at that halfway point for 2005...

but the good thing is...we are about to hit the summer months (June-September)

...and that means easy on the hair time and the anxiously awaited...summer growth spurt.

I know I'm happy cause this is the only time when my hair does some decent growing.

if regimens haven't been decided upon...get it done and stick with it...:)

I am so shocked that I have never came across this thread before. I probably thought it was one of the one for brastrap. I would love to join this challenge. I was there already in certain sections but I had to cut some inches off. I will try to get them back by December.

Yes, I'm 4 or 5 inches past shoulder length and about 3 or 4 inches from armpit.

Count me in on the challenge as well. I'm going for Shoulder-length even, full hair by the end of the year. It's touching my shoulder, but I want it 'resting' on my shoulders.

Alright ladies....I'm jumping on this one...my first challenge in the forum! I know I can do this by the end of 2005! :woot:

I'm currently an inch or so past shoulder length.

Now I gotta figure out how to :Flahsssss and get them posted. I'll also need to tweak my routine...my girl Webby :notworthy has been a big help to me in that area. I've always had longer hair (shoulder length or slightly beyond), but now I'm pullin' out all the stops and goin' for the pits!

With the help of all the LHCF ladies, I know I can make my goal!

Hello MonaLisa!!! I have been cutting my hair like a crazy women. Trying to get that even shoulder length BOB. My SO keeps telling me to stop cutting my hair. The only way I know how to keep those dreaded shears out of my head is to keep my tresses braided up!!! I will get my hair braided 06/17/05. Besides that, my hair is as healthy as ever and I am really loving my hair right now. I should have an even shoulder length BOB by Dec. 05!!! HHG everyone. Thank you Mona for this thread. :)

Alright Mona...I'm checkin in on you. No album yet (its coming) and I've taken a tiny step backward in this challenge, but I can still make it. I got my relaxer yesterday after 11 weeks of stretching, but I also got a trim. My previous cut was so messed up...my stylist did some sort of angled thing :eek: where the front was longer than the back, and as it grew out it got more and more difficult to maintain, so I had it all cut to one length. I never asked for that jacked up cut, and I think she did it to disguise how short she cut my hair. Anyway...now of course the front looks short because I got so used to seeing those long pieces (I used to call them my fu-man-chus), but I'm still pleased. I went to a new stylist and she showed me just how damaged my hair really is (lots of broken strands throughout my entire head), but because my hair is so thick, I've got what looks like a full, healthy head of hair. And you know I'm showin' out today because it's bouncin' and swingin' like crazy...you know how your hair always does that right after you get it done :D

So....let me know how about your progress. Your hair is really beautiful, and I can't wait to see updated pics.
