My big sis @MzSwift omg your hair. Like I’m feeling flutters. Your hair looks amazing. I don’t even know hair touching back let alone blanket of flowing hair. This is hitting me deep prob bc of just finishing up my workout and just all that comes with consistency for a long time goal. This site has some of the faith of Job types relating to goals.

Happy New Year, ladies!
A new year to work toward our hair goals! We can do this!!

Will be putting a fresh Botox tomorrow. My hair reverted almost to natural texture. I will be increasing the heat this time and do more passes. I want a more 3b/3c look vs 4a like I have now. It takes a few treatments of Botox tomorrow get that level of texture change for me.

@Napp I’ve been researching some new smoothing treatments based on the active ingredients.

I’ve been reading about an ingredient called Seraliss RA: (Water (and) Glyoxyloyl Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein/Sericin (and) Glyoxylic
Acid (and) Sericin (and) Guar Hydroxypropyitrimonium Chloride). It’s found in a brand called Kerametik and Lacio Real. Kerametik has two options, a smoothing treatment or a keratin treatment. The smoothing treatment gives you the option to control how loose your results are. The keratin treatment seems to be the strongest option.

Lacio Real I’ve only found on websites in Spanish. It’s saying it’s a progressive relaxer. It seems to be applied like a Botox treatment. People with highly textured hair should use it twice a month until you get the results you want. But it cautions if you want to keep your curls then don’t use it because I think your hair will not revert back. There are a lot of videos on YouTube with Latina ladies using it.

Influance has come out with a product called Keratin Straightening System that uses S-Glyoxyloy/Acetyl Cysteine, Glyoxyloyl Cysteine, Bis-Glyoxyloy/Cystine as its active ingredient. I can’t find many reviews on this one.

Avlon Texture Release’s active ingredient is Proliss 100: (Glyoxyloyl Carbocysteine (and) Glyoxyloyl Keratin Amino Acids (and) Water). I’ve used that one in the past & did really like my results but it took a long time to revert & I feel like my hair didn’t completely revert. I just repurchased the system this summer but haven’t used it yet. I’ve been trying to see what other products are out there & if the technology has improved.

I’ve been thinking about trying the Influance or Kerametik one out.

I want it so that my results don’t revert. I read about one member here who used henna the same day she would do keratin treatments & her results did not revert. She only had to do her new growth. I’m scared to use henna the same day so I might try henna two weeks after a treatment.

I want an elongated/loosened curl pattern. When I used to texlax my hair, I could never get the results I wanted. It would start off looking like loose curls but then it would revert & I would have to do a corrective which would eventually lead to it looking like kinky straight hair instead of curls. But it was so much easier to manage than my natural hair and it was healthy & long so I just went along with it. But I have always loved curly hair.
From my experience with Botox it takes a few applications to get the texture right because it will revert after a while. I like that it bounces back a little so you can prevent over processing your curls.

A relaxer doesn’t have the same effect as a botox but I still consider the hair texturized. The hair retains the spiral shape even after multiple applications unlike a texturizer. I just fine that noticed botoxed curls define best with a brush or shingling vs rake and smooth.

Here is my hair shingled after a few applications of the Nutree Botox Pink

Here is my natural texture in comparison

I would say this is around 4-5 applications

Here are some notes from my first touchup with Fox Cosmeticos Botox Monoi

I used my Dyson to blow dry instead of using my Zuvi. I saw a bunch of short hairs all over the place. Will use my zuvi next time. I only did this to aggressively change the final result.

I sectioned my wet hair depending if they were tightly, medium and loosely curled on my head tight got 3 passes, medium got 2 passes and loose got one pass. The roots were hit 3 times all over.

After washing it out after a week of straight hair my hair looked loosely curled and lacked the springy quality my curls had before. I couldn’t even wash and go. Looking back, the same thing happened before when I used other brands. I have to trust the process and know my curls will eventually revert. Not necessarily back to natural but this is how the hair acts once it has been Botox’d and is reapplied to previously treated hair.

I just co washed with Alfaparf’s Cleansing conditioner and put in Vitale pro reconstructor to mitigate any damage xtra breakage. (I love this stuff) Then I put one ampoule of Salerm vegetable placenta for additional strength.slick back is the only quick style I can do while my hair slowly reverts. I can tell that this formulation is stronger than other botoxes I’ve used in the past because it would take a few applications to get to this point.

I used ceramic flat iron at 410 degrees and it slid through my hair like butter. I don’t like using titanium on my hair. I used to get bomb results from my Rusk ceramic tourmaline flat iron so I think ceramic is the way to go.

Will be waiting at least 3-4 months till my next touch up where I will focus on just the root. I even though about doing my edges every 2 months too just to stretch as much as possible. This is all speculation though because I barely could go 7 weeks before I caved it and reapplied.

And just like that some new wigs will be coming and my hair out era is over. I liked my hair out but I feel plain and my hair doesn’t hold curl so it’s cool when slick but once that’s gone it’s just looks homely. Excited to try a v part and half wigs have really creeped up price wise.
Welcome back, wig season!
That's how many of the relaxed ladies of old use to get to long lengths. They would wear their hair out for a time and then go under a PS for a while or until the next relaxer.

Did you take pictures of your hair? It will help to really gauge your progress. You don't even have to show it to anyone else.

I cackle at relaxed ladies of old. I have taken pics just to see. I feel like my edges are fuller since the last relaxer and wearing anything. I didn’t even wear hair for my bday and chunked a lot of them out before I moved. But I think if my hair would have styled it would be ok I may try my hand at those halo braid tho.

Here me out I’m not crazy but I have had my wig on a full one on and I hate it. I braided up my hair in two big straight backs and prefer it. It may be a full wig isn’t it anymore. This feels insane to me. I have a few that I still love the look but it’s more for the baddie times. I truly am oldz

Sis, this has been me these past two years! Lol
So my luggage bag of wigs is chilling in the closet until further notice. They don't expire so they'll be ready for me when I get in the mood again.

Omg!! I’m like Sam’s Beauty number one customer then this past Oct I got annoyed and have been in snatch back buns minus trying to do that clip ins ponytail which was cute but you need good quality hair for it to be cute. I threw the wig I had on today away and will play with my half wig until my new v part and other half wigs come in. I’m just like who am I am I becoming one of those who just loo plain?!? Could be my peri and job not sparking that I want to be cute.

Ok so I got some new hair we back on our baddie stroll. I think I needed a idc time and now I’m on I what to go out so that’s not acceptable for me. Now when I retouch I may switch up again. I got a v part that has more texture and baby that matches way too good. It’s truly gives kinky straight blow out.

I know we can't let the trolls win and all but the way those in charge have been running this site lately has left a lot to be desired.
It seems, though, that destroying spaces where minorities or others gather has been the game plan.

I'd hate to church finger this site bc I've been invested here too long but...
