-My protective style of choice is braids w/ extensions and braids no extensions under wig
-I will PS for ALL months

This is right on time as I hardly ever straighten my hair. Well I just did, recently, so I'll post my starting pic.

I'd like to join! I've been transitioning for almost 6 months and have not used direct heat during this period. Actually I sat under my bonnet dryer to set a style once, does that count?

Okay ladies, I am new to the website and to this whole world of natural hair care even though I have had natural hair for a few years. I only chose bunning because that is what I know how to do. What other protective styles can I do with my own hair without using other pieces, wigs, etc.? (no bias but I just prefer to work with my own hair)

I will be using heat 2 times between now and the end of December so I will meet the 5 pass requirements. I will put up a start picture next week because I want to see the straight version of my growth.

We said this was a 5 out 7 days a week with 1 emergency pass right? I am going on a cruise in November and may need that pass, LOL.

Yes! Finally, a challenge I can get with. I'm transitioning, so protective styling is what I'm working with already :yawn:

- My protective style of choice is sewn-in weaves or cornrows with extensions
- I plan on PS-ing all three months
- I plan to adhere to the heat rules. Yes, but I'm still trying to figure out how to manage my hair without heat. How do I keep the roots from feeling rough afterwards?
- I plan to update every two weeks. Sounds good to me

I'm really looking forward to how this will turn out.

I had cornrows put in on Saturday and my head is itching!!! I really want to wash my hair tomorrow. I think I'll have to get my braids redone weekly. I don't think I can go without washing.

Funny, I just told my friend I would PS for the rest of the year, well until my birthday 12/29, this afternoon, and then I found this challenge. I've been PS this last month with my first set of pixie braids and just started changing them over to two strands last night.

-I promise to adhere to the heat rules - I do, don't use it that often anyway.
