Marriage Name Change?

I knew I wouldn't hyphenate, but ended up adding his last name and keeping my maiden name as a middle name. I only use my first and last names with no middle initials until I renew some official document.

It took me 3 years to change anything.

Did you officially change your maiden name to your middle name? Or do you just still use it

I'm in NYC and after reviewing the costs I might just drop my last name, take on his, and keep it pushin.

I didn't pay anything to change/ add DH last name. Social security card change and calling creditors was all I remember doing. If we divorced, I'll do the same thing to drop his name .

Don't forget the DMV. And have you birth certificate and marriage license with you.

I hate hyphenated names and ours sound ridiculous together, so thats a no.

His name is from a different ethnic background though. I love the sound of my new full name and I was looking forward to taking it for lovey dovey reasons but...

The practical side of me thinks about hospital waiting room confusion, general questions from people and weird reactions from interviewers . Dipping my toe in using it a lil in online profiles/my business, but not changed officially.
