I don't currently have a preference. When I was younger I use to have a preference for light skinned men but they seem to be the ones that cause the most trouble. As long as he is not too dark. He also can not be ugly. As long as I can stand to look at him, I'm good. Looks aren't everything to me because I want someone that has more than looks.

I prefer dark skinned men....my father, brothers, uncles, cousins are mostly lighter skinned men. I guess I got tired of seeing all the light skin because the minute I started dating I went chocolate and never went back :lick:

This is how I phrase it when asked this question, "if you see me with a dark skin man, there a chance it's pure lust and I may or may not know his last name. If you see me with a light skin man, I am head over heels in love because I have gotten to know his heart". I love fine men but a dark skin black man will catch my eye before any other man regardless of nationality. I am single now, but I just have this sneaky feeling I am going to end up marrying a light skin or white man, which is all good with me as long as we are happy and fulfilled.

Wow! Played out? I guess only in the black community can a particular color be the latest fad.

I like my black men black.

giggles. Yeah, I thought here we go again, Black v White, Light v Dark, Asian v White, Aliens v Predator. But I prefer my men dark.

I prefer light to brown men. My SO is darker than me tho. Who woulda guessed? For some odd reason, I couldn't even see his color when we first started dating, lol. Then afterwards, I looked at him one day and was like "mannnnnnn, he is dark-skinned!! But it didn't matter then anyway

Again open to all races but I like
black men really dark-skinned.
white mem freckled or blod or both
asians fair skinned

but I've made exceptions to ALL those before, the above mentioned just catch my eye

Fine is fine in my opinion. But as far as black men, I noticed that I am most often drawn to men who are medium complected...a little darker than myself, about the same shade as my father. That was not an option so I did not vote. But again, I like ALL men!

I agree. I had a friend guy tell me, he'd HEARD alot of females complain about how guys are chosing based on color, but really paid it no attention b/c the guys he knew really made no issue about it. but he said, it was when he ( who makes good $$$ ) bought his first house. its in an all black neighborhood here in NC, and ALL , here me , all , of his neighbors either had a white SO or they were light skinned. i know the neighborhood and it is upscale, more middle class.

i told him, even I didnt think it was that bad. but he said, he just noticed it and was like, whoa !

That's interesting, especially since it doesn't seem like an issue for him. But it's good he notices it in others.

Yeah, these topics will never stop coming up on this forum I guess

It depends. For Black men, as long as he's fione I'm good. For all other races, I like the tanner version of every other race. So, darker Italians, South Indians, very olive Asians...yum

Thank you. But I do prefer Black no cream;)

I personally do not care what the skin of the guy is, you can be snow white to midnight black, as long as he is over 6 feet tall is fine with me

I prefer dark(not too dark) men but I always seems to end up with the light skinned guys like my boyfriend. Oh well, it just wasn't meant to be!

Ok, we're talking about preferences right?
So the poster said whatever she said. That doesn't affect any of us because we're not males, and I doubt she'd have any interest in us.

That being said.

There were some posts that talked about light, but not too light, but nobody stopped on that one.

It appears it's safer to have a preference in the middle of the spectrum, so you can make everyone happy.

That's what people like to do but I'm gonna keep it 100. I like my men dark but not too dark. Shoot me!

After I was rooting for your safe return?

OH HELL NAH

:lachen:

But that's what I'm saying, it's a preference, so nobody should be riled up, because we're talking about preferences of men, and we're all women that posted in this thread.
