Hey! I'm TdotGirl and my name says it all where I reside (Toronto). I've lurked for a couple years before joining in 2006.

I'm enjoying the last month of my champagne year (21 on the 21st). Yay Leos!!!

I graduated in June from University with a degree and diploma in Business Administration.

I love to travel (came back 2 months ago from Cuba) party, read, shop and I play soccer.

I have a fotki (link in profile), but haven't updated in a looong time. Hoping to grow grow grow long!

HI there!

my name is SoAnxious
I'm from NJ, and have lived in md for 4yrs
I'm 19yrs old. and I will be a second yr college freshmen in the fall lol
I plan to become an investment baner
my major is business/economics
I like sarcasm, and seemingly "crude" humor (
I'm obsessed with my hair
i currently work one job but looking for another one (or two)

I'm Jamila75.

I was born and raised in Chicago.

I've lived in Florida for 16 years. I came for college, graduated, got married, had a baby and never left. :perplexed

I'm back in school for my MBA after 10 years of having no idea what I wanted to be when I grew up. :lachen: So happy that I have found my dream career and that motivation keeps me going.

I used to be almost MBL. I chopped my hair down to above SL after a mid-life crisis (I turned 30). :look: I'm trying to get back to MBL. I think WL would be too much work for me.

My hair loves right now are co-washing and weekly wet setting. I am stretching and co-washing has made it a breeze.

I love this board. I just took a one week "fast" and it was hard to stay away. I'm back now, but I'm trying to limit my time so I don't get so addicted again. :lachen:

Hello Everyone!

My hame is Puffy.
I started LCHF in 07 and when I found this site I didn't think twice to join. Did not even take time to be a lurker. I knew this was going to be good.
My hair was jacked up, I wore braids for 10 years, maybe longer, it was uneven, dry and brittle, and my ends were raggedy. When it started to grow I had to keep cutting off the growth to get the ends, hince just now thriving and getting to be a full APL.

Career wise:
I work and go to school full time. Working on MBA Technology Management, I have a couple of degrees but that is not important.
I hate my tech support job and the only reason I stay is 1. the pay is good, 2. the benefits are good, 3. I have to finish my Masters degree to get the job that I want. I graduate October 09 and I can freaking wait...my job SUCKS!

Personal:
I am in that 40 something group, looking like Im in the 20 something group...heyyy....
Former Marine
Happily Divorced
Getting paid, want more money
Need a Sugar Daddy...can't find one because I moved to this hell..hole to help out my mom and these country a$$ folk down here bout' to get on my last nerve:lachen:
Anyhoo, enough of that. Moving movin on....as long as I pick up my paycheck every 2, I'm straight.
Im laid back and easy going and like to be around people who are positive and trying to make a better life for themselves...I cannot STAND negativity, or gossip, or any of that dramatic bullshyt because everybody has flaws.
My philosophy: if you cannot say something respectful, intellegent or something that would help somebody else, KYDMS(Keep Your Damn Mouth Shut)....No bunk...You cool.

One thing that I like about this forum is that I really like how everybody gets along. It is very easy to feel like a lonesome dove in here so I can def. see why someone may be intimidated. I post all the time and people just wiz my my post...:drunk:. Nothing big...you know what they say about too many sisters in one kitchen (not that kitchen..lol).

And yes, damit I talk alot..:blondboob

Great Thread!

Smooches

I totally agree. I am only at my job because I seriously need the medical insurance and the paycheck helps me pay for me to go back to school...even though I probably wont be finished till 2010 :spinning: but I'm just there for the paycheck and the benefits. I have seriously day dreamed about the day I can hand in my 2 week ( or 2 hour hehehehe) notice.

Hi all. I'm Erica.

I originally hail from Chicago, but now reside 3 hrs north in WI.

In my mid-30s, married, no kiddos yet (but we are hoping) got 1 furbaby though. I am a legal assistant at a mid-size law firm and have been for the past 11 years.

I lurked for awhile before getting off the dime and becoming a member in late 2003. Not sure how I found this board, must have just been looking online at hair stuff and stumbled upon it. I'm so glad I found it! I have learned TONS about what to do and not do to my hair--way more than I would have learned from a stylist. I never knew about deep conditioning, co-washing, protective styling, bagging, Maxiglides, Pibbs, proper moisturizing until I came on this board. My hair has thrived so much and I think has been in the best shape it's ever been in. I am current stuck at SL, but would be happy getting to APL and being done.

Love the read, travel, scrapbook, garden, shop of course and watch movies. :)

Hi! Im Zabrina
I reside in Toronto Ontario and im 18.
This wasn't my account it was my older sisters and she benefited from this
website quite alot (she's at APL right now). I was a bit skeptical and just like the rest of the family thought she was just hair obbessed! So she introduced me to the site and she told me I could have the account since she's now in Somalia doing volunteer work. She was more a lurker i'd say.

Hmm I consider myself a newbie and dont have a solid regimen yet. Im still figuring out what works for my hair and thats just about it. :ohwell:'. Anyways I was just excited so I thought Id introduce myself.

Hi guys, I'm Priestess.
I chose my screen name based on Revelation 1:6 and 5:10.
I just quit my job and am so happy. I worked for a non-profit for 2 years that didn't practice what it preached. :nono:
I am happily married, coming up on my 3rd year anniversary, no kids but we're parents to our kitty.
I love LHCF, I hang out on the hair board, OT, and the makeup forum. I like to take peeks in the Pregnancy and Motherhood forum for curiousity sake. :look:
I love reading fashion magazines and watching Project Runway.
I'm really into haircare and would like to write a book about it someday soon.
I love spending time with my husband.
My hair is MBL and I have my reggie down. I'm all about sulfate free poo and gobs of conditioner. Washing in braids is a lifesaver.
I self relax; my hubby helps me.
I have been working braidouts all summer.

Hello Ladies

Its so nice to see some fellow Torontians!! :wavey:

I grew up in a small town and moved to Toronto for school. I never paid much attention to my hair when I was younger and Im trying to reverse all that damage. I lurked for a while before I joined, but only started posting recently. Posting is so much more fun than lurking. Im so glad that im "engaging outwardly" although I dont get online as much as Id like to.

Im 28 and work full time as well as run a home business. Ive gone back to school to get my certification and have one more course to go. :yay:

When Im not playing with, doing or thinking about hair, Im playing with makeup, playing the piano and travelling as much as I can.

I am very much a newbie, no fotki yet and still working on my regime.

Hi,
I'm CAPlush and it seems like I have been here FOREVER, but today is my first time logging on since last October. I came here like in '02, didn't quite "get" the site, and left. I came back, really learned to grow my hair, and left again when my son was born. This is my first time logging in since last year.

I'm an attorney, but am currently a SAHM (stay at home mom).

Hi everyone my name is Karla. I have been married for almost 13yrs to my high school sweet heart and soulmate. I have 5yr old twin boys that were born on their daddy's birthday so its more like I have triplets. Orginally from New Orleans I have lived in Oklahoma, Germany, Turkey, Alabama and now reside in Guam. I am currently taking a leave of absence from work to spend time with the boys before they start kindergarten and then I will either go back to school or work or both but I am gonna do something.

I have no set regmine right now cause I am still learning. I just joined this month after lurking for about a month. I am in the 9th week of a 15 week relaxer stretch and OMG its hard. The main thing I have learned so far is moisturize the ends and NG to carry me through this stretch. I know my hair and scalp will benefit from it.

I have to give a shout out to the ladies that have helped me out the most. Thankyou, Just Kiya, Aggie and Dont Speak Defeat you guys are my hair angels.
Bye for Now!

I just got finished reading and whew! There are some very interesting ladies here. Nice to meet everyone.

Nice to see you back Caplush.

Hey!

I'm Shay and I just graduated from college, I earned my BA in psychology. I'm a southern gal, born and bred, I will never move from the south. I want to earn my master's in health administration and plan to go back to school in January.

I'm a girly girl and a flirt, I love makeup and clothes. I addicted to Style Network, HGTV, and youtube. I'm also 5'10 and I'm on a mission to grow bigger boobs

I love self-help books, especially Write it Down, Make it Happen.

I just love LHCF. I lurked for about 3 years before making a post. Without this site, I would still have short, breaking hair, this site has changed my life and I apprecate all of y'all. Oh, and my goal length is BSL.

Hey ladies, I’m BrandNew!.. My name just represents overall changes I’ve gone through, I felt rejuvenated and renewed. I found this site last month and joined immediately, I’ve been lurking on and off ever since.

- So glad I found this site, I’ve spent hours just browsing and I’ve learnt so much!:yep:

Greetings!!!
I'm moonglowdiva!!! I have my name listed as Tea Elle in my profile. I live in Arkansas, Stank City to be exact. I joined sometime in 2007 and paid in February. I rarely start topics. I still lurk. I find that if I read and not ask questions so quick I usually find the answer to the problem that I seek. I am a school teacher 7th grade. My birthday was Friday. I'm not married but I have 2 darling children girl(11) boy (9). I love to knit. I love Jesus Christ who is my Lord and Savior. <-He is my husband, my help. I became interested in hair because it all fell out exactly one year ago and I was determined to get this right. I now has about twice as much hair as I did before my major setback. I'm camera shy so I don't post pic of myself or my hair. I have a fotki however it is private but there are ways around that if you really want to see the contents. I have a myspace in fact I have two of them one under my name and one under moonglowdiva. I love cows. I'm really country. I love to knit and read when I have time. That me pretty much in a nutshell.

I agree with Manushka, I am glad to see so many high schoolers here. :yep:

Manushka, what up girl? I grew up in South Florida. And I love your name. Are you Haitian or French, 'cause that is a popular name in that community?

Thanks Lady Esquire! I appreciate that cause I hated :wallbash: my name growing up. I am Haitian- American. SAK PASE!!!!!! LOL!

Oh wow girl. I'm orginally from San Diego. I am now in TN, (taking care of a family member). I really miss Mission Valley, Chula Vista, Oceanside, and ElCajon. I don't think I will move back though, too expensive. I am thinking about moving to Florida, but that's still up in the air. I gotta go check out the alligator stories to see if they are true. I just wanted to say hey and let you know that you can do anything that you set your mind to. Also, check out National University, I belive that have a CJ class. It is excellerated but you take one course for six weeks. That's how I earned my first degree.

Hi..........errrbody! I'm mshottienelson. I live in San Diego, California. I'm married, have two children, trying for another. I work full time and I'm still working on my 10 yr plan to get a Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice...:lachen: but I digress. I stumbled upon LHCF early this year and joined about a month later. I wish I'd found this place sooner too.

I recently bc'd after being relaxed almost 2/3 of my life. I had longer hair as a child and as an adult, I've always been able to get to shoulder length and a little longer but not APL (not since I was a kid). So I know my hair does grow (although I used to believe otherwise); I am now working on retaining it.

OMG, there are so many smart and wonderful ladies on this board! you all are like sisters to me!

It will fly by. It doesn't seem like it now. I started counting down at month 18. Now I am I am at month 13, so pretty much one year.
Focus, Focus, Focus....

I totally agree. I am only at my job because I seriously need the medical insurance and the paycheck helps me pay for me to go back to school...even though I probably wont be finished till 2010 :spinning: but I'm just there for the paycheck and the benefits. Happy Birthday!

Hi I am vkb247,

I found BHM last summer when I wanted to get a weave for the first time b4 traveling abroad. I had a wave nouveau (sp?) for years but my boyfriend wanted to see my hair straight so I started pressing my SL hair in Jan '07 and it broke off straight down the middle so I started hiding my hair (slowly cutting my hair til it was even again) and stopped using chemicals until this summer.

Now I texlax my hair, my longest layers are SL once again  and I have made an official move from BHM to LHCF. I want to be BSL by January '09 for my 30th bday!!!!!!!

I am a Bermudian/American (born in the US to Bermudian parents) and I just moved back to Bermuda after livin in ATL for three years and travelling for one year. I haven't posted any pics yet (laziness) but I do have a fotki (that badly needs updating) in my profile. No pw needed. HHG!
