December 4th, I am honored to stand in as Maid of Honor at my friend's wedding, this is the very first friend that I know that is getting married and I will be a part of that wedding. Well the bride and I are both natural so we will be on the hunt for good pressing stylists (I do know some) in Dallas that weekend, but in the meantime, her hair has grown out rather nicely (she has been natural longer than I have) and of course I am not trying to upstage her by any means, but I want my hair to have shown some progress since last straightened in March, I mean mine has been kind of growing at a slow pace. I am not really expecting any major miracles, like bra clasp length by December, but I would like at least 1 1/2-2 inches of new growth, I started this growth challenge by washing everyday in August for about 3 weeks, then I changed to about every week, but I put conditioner on daily, because I like the texture and the softness of conditioned hair and I want to retain some length, also been doing protein smoothies for over a month (but that was for energy too). I just ordered some M-T-G today so hopefully it will come in the next few days. If there are any things that you ladies can suggest that could help please do, especially things to do with my M-T-G.
Preciate YA!

I can suggest that you do co-washes every day or every other day with a cheapie or Dominican conditioner. You MUST moisturize your hair once or twice a day mainly concentrating on your ends. Hot oil treatments are good too and scalp massages with natural oils (i.e. jojoba mixed with essential oils like rosemary and peppermint, lavender, sweet orange oil etc) along with your MTG, any little thing helps. Also when you do your deep treatments do it with heat or steam...you mentioned that your a natural so I don't know if you do deep treatments but the other suggestions that I've proposed may help! Good luck and post pics!

Thank you so much, I steam mainly in the shower, I usually do with my Magic Grow scarf ( I mean that sounds crazy, does that thing really work?), but it kept getting wet. Okay, so CO washes instead of just CO, cause I think I may be overloading my hair with CO on a daily and not really getting it out. I will post pics, so excited!
