Her hair does look good, but my hair is only APL and I don't think her hair looks any better/ healthier/ shinier/ and certainly not thicker than mine. There's some divas rocking short cuts, TWAs, and locs with better looking hair than Kimmay, let's be real.

Ok, 98% then. It still looks better than the vast majority of the heads I see everyday, and it is certainly not easily obtained by the average black woman. Even on this site with superior hair care practices, the majority of us can't and haven't achieved a head of hair like that. I guess it is subjective in some ways, like if you think shinier = better looking or thicker = better looking or all-even length = better looking, but for people to try to say what she has achieved isn't impressive IS also a stretch. It isn't like her hair is just one strand at BSL or whatever. She has a full, lush head of hair from what I can see, and YES that is rare for BW, ESPECIALLY considering the length.
 
OMG! I feel like this gets more ridiculous with time. I'm not going to sit here and say you guys are hating (I actually am beginning to despise this word, just because you have ugly shoes doesn't mean I hate you and want your life...ANYWAYS), but I think some of y'all need a reality check. The women that post on yt and this forum are a MINORITY. How many black women in real life have long, healthy, thick hair, that is being well cared for? They are few and far between. How many times do you go out and see bird nest looking weave/wigs, raggedy do's, and overall unkempt nonsense that people decide to let grow out of their head? Ummm...a lot. I'm not a kimmaytube stan, but she does have some useful info for the natural hair community whether it's regurgitated or not. I've been lurking around the forum while working 12 hour night shifts (BORING.), and that's all we do on here is regurgitate the same stuff that's on the last page of the forum anyway. So to discredit her for giving people useful information is null and void in my opinion. I'm also confused as to where you all are seeing this thin hair? Her hair seems normal-kind of thick to me. I mean if you want to compare her to LHDC2011 and mwedzi obviously she falls short, but really how many of you all's hair is as thick as their's??? I'm sure not that many. Yes, her edges need some tending to, and her ends should probably be clipped but it's not like her head looks like crispy, fried bird nest debris. Your hair is always a work in progress since it mostly grows your entire life, I'm sure she'll have time to work on these HARD PRESSED issues...All she was doing was revealing how much hair she retained for what 1-2 years? Regardless of all the criticisms NOONE can sit here and tell me that she hasn't done a good job. If she was a member here and posted those before and after pics y'all would be hounding her down for her reggie, what products she used and all kinds of nonsense. The woman does her hair by herself in the bathroom and you expect it to look like paul mitchell is in there giving her tips and helping her along. But hey...everyone's a critic.

I have naturally thin edges too. You can probably see that from my siggy. It's hereditary. :ohwell:

I actually like the flat iron pic. I wanna see a video or something though.

Especially if this was her very first time flat-ironing it, it looks like she did a darn good job. :spinning: People take stuff for granted because they might have innate skills or because they've been flat-ironing their hair since age 12, but believe... it's even hard for me to flat iron my relaxed hair. :look: I've never used one before last month.

Nope, cause I don't need LHCF to tell me whether or not my hair looks nice. I can look in the mirror. On top of that, I get plenty of compliments in real life.

ETA: Kim doesn't need LHCF to tell her that either. She can look in the mirror and see that her hair looks nice, and she has her hubby to compliment her. :grin: Now that part (the hubby part), I might be jealous of. :look:

Why do members say things like "well if she was a member of LHCF everyone would be..."??? I don't get it. Unless you want to make the band, it is common sense that one would not go into someone's progress thread and tell them they have dry chewed up ends, edges like Stevie Wonder, or unsightly bald spots. Lets be real.:ohwell:

Just because a member is getting tons of thanks and comments doesn't mean that there aren't ton of others who view the pics, and aren't impressed wondering what all the hoopla is about.

I feel like that's kind of the point, but she does have people still going on her channel putting her down and what not, and all she's doing is essentially putting up a progress vid. I'm not subscribed to anybody on yt or anything like that but I feel we all have one common goal in mind (those of us on the forum and on yt), yet there is always someone with something negative to say. We can never just support each other, or offer words of encouragement. Instead it's W3LL IVE SEEN BTTR HURR, HUR EDGZ B BUSTED AND CRUSTED, EYM NOT IMPR3SS3D, CHICKEN BOBS HURR B MUCH B3TT3R :evil:. I'm sure all of you with better hair than KT didn't always have a beautiful head of luscious locks. Anywho...I digress. I've decided to no longer care...

I didn't read the whole thread but I would not consider her hair thin at all. Yes I was the first to comment on her flat ironing results being mediocre and I stand by that. There is nothing wrong with saying she did a poor job on the flat ironing, especially since she has been talking about flat ironing her hair for so long and hyped it up so much. Not to mention she posted not one but two blow drying videos before hand. I mean really. Her hair growth is impressive, her retention is great, her hair is thick, but those flat ironing results are not that great. She prides herself in researching and succeeding in every area of her life(her words not mine), I am sure she'll master a superb flat ironing technique that works for her, and we'll probably see a video on that as well. *shrug*

Heck, I think I've watched one video of hers on YT. I just came in here to see the hair and say "oooh nice progress! :yep:" instead I see all this "Im not impressed" and "busted". Like dang. For real. THAT'S considered busted now?? Seriously must remove avatar... :look: In fact, everybody needs to take down their pics except a handful if THAT'S what's busted these days. :lol:

Hey, I backtracked to say 98%. :look: I see enough every day to know that there's not a whole bunch with a full, lush head of (real) hair with considerable length.
