Hits: Sunsilk Hydra TLC, I finally found a great daily moisturizers
Coconut Oil for sealing, can't mess with JBCO anymore as a sealant

Misses: JBCO gave up, I only add it to my DC's now
S-curl left my hair crunchy and sticky
Carol's Daughter SMM was too heavy on my hair

hey mzrhonda, a ponytail rollerset is when u put 10-12 pony tails in ur wet washed hair, and roll up the ponytails like a regulat rollerset, take them down when they are dry, and u have the same results as a rollerset without the hassel... I love them, once u take them down u can flat the rubberband marks ou(ur roots) or simply wrap hair up and te down (silk wrap)

Isn't Avocado Mist DA TRUTH!!! I love it! The only thing I can use as a leave-in. It's definitely a hit. Please report back on the rehydrant spray, conditioner and there's also a creme as well. I want to know how they work for you.

I am so excited about trying Mega-Tek this weekend. I also love the rave reviews that these products from Eqyss are receiving.

This is exciting, ya'll!! ;)

Are these horse products- like MTG?

The salepeople where I buy my MTG already figured out I'm not a "horse" person. Please don't make me like there with a big shopping bag full of stuff!

Hits: Garnier Fructis Curl and Shine shampoo, conditioner, and especially the leave-in!!! This is the first time I've EVER found a shampoo that really gives that infamous slip yall are always talkin about

Also, big ups to BT...I henna'd my hair a coupla days ago and added a bunch of amla powder to the mix...My hair is the most BEAUTIFUL dark brown ever, and it's shiny!!! :drunk: So, I'm gonna make amla powder a hit for this month as well!

Waiting on my Theratin and Humectin from that Raf's sale....Humectress seems to be hit or miss for me, depending on what I do to my hair (after henna, it did NOTHING....but after a regular shampoo and condish, it makes my hair buttery and so easy to detangle...:ohwell: go figure)...Hoping Theratin and Humectin are big hits!

Miss: Amla oil. :perplexed I dunno, after finally using the powder, the oil just ain't gettin for me anymore :ohwell: I got a full bottle and about 1/7th of a bottle left, so I'm gonna use that up and never repurchase :nono: I'm sticking with the powder from now on!

I placed a 2nd order for some Kenra stuff and they emailed and told me they ran low on stock!! Dang-it. Oh well, they were able to fulfill my 1st order.

Hit: Garnier Sleek and shine shampoo and conditioner. The shampoo is clear but is suprisingly moisturizing and smoothing. The conditioner goes on feeling hard but rinses buttery smooth. Not to mention they are both cheap and smells like a fruit basket.

Profectiv breakthru- used it as protection during my relaxer. I coated my ends with it the night before I Relaxed and again the day of. Don't like it as a daily cream but it worked excellent this way. I could tell my hair was protected, lost just a couple of hairs during the whole process.

Miss Silk elements cholesterol- I think they changed the formula or I got a bad jar. Consistency is all off and it doesn't work the same, Highly pissed.

Hits: Carlson's Liquid Fish Oil; softens my hair and skin, and tastes like Lemon. I can drink it right out the bottle and get all my EFAs. It's doing wonders for my hair. I ingest only 1-2 tsp. per day. My hair is doing well at a newly measured 27 inches (up from 24 in Jan), even though I've put heat on it more than enough, and slept on a snarly cotton pillow for 2 months straight.
Is this it?

Thank you! (waiting patiently so I can place my order!)

The avocado mist became a staple the day I sprayed it on my hair. I keep petting my NG. It feels amazing.

I'm holding the bottle of cream rinse now. It's very thick but not heavy. It feels kinda... fluffy?? It says to apply (even over shampoo) then rinse. I can't do that I'm at work, but I'm about to go the restroom and spray on this rehydrant. But to be honest, I can't image my hair feeling more moist, soft, or strong as it does right now. It actually feels slightly damp, but it's not. Ok enough gushing, I'm gonna make some people sick. :barf:

If you visit the Eqyss website, these are actually marketed for human use. They have lines for Equine, Pets and Human use.

Well worth the cost if you ask me, but don't go for that get 2 for the price of one on their website for the Mega-Tek. That's caca, on bottle normally sells for $29.95.

Uh-oh, Eqyss in the house!!! :bouncy: I've not used anything by them that I didn't like!! My faves are the
  • Mega-Tek Rebuilder
  • Rehydrant Spray
  • Premier Poo
  • SURVIVOR SUPER EQUINE DETANGLER SHINE (this stuff ROCKS!!!

Ok, that's the end of my commercial (it's a rerun but I love this stuff!!) The avocado mist was pretty good but I liked the rehydrant spray better when used with the Survivor detangler.

Oh yeah, I forgot about the detangler. Since I chopped my hair I rarely get tangles there ain't enough left. :ohwell:

Im a new Mega Tek recrutee too :bud: .....looks like i might have to try the Avocado mist too :D ....i might have to go over to the Aveda site next to see whats poppin:rolleyes:

:yay: Let us know what you think.

Hit: Alter Ego Nourishing Deep Conditioner and Alter Ego Nourishing serum
miss:Amla Oil.I'm starting to believe my hair hates all oils.

waiting for them to arrive: alter ego cren and revitalizing lotion, alfaparf semi di lino serum.

Hit
Rolling the length/ends of my hair that are hanging out of the scarf while airdrying = smooth hair and no frizzy ends

Misses
None........sticking with my Aveda and not trying anything new

HITS

The Godiva shampoo bar from Lush Products. It did an outstanding job of cleansing my hair without leaving it feeling too stripped. Plus the smell wasn't bad either. You must make sure you let it dry out after you use it.

Coconut oil - I've been adding it to my conditioner when I do cw's. It's relieved the dryness a lot.

MISSES

None at this time.

Also, thanks to Ms. Jadu , I purchased the Avocado Mist from Egyss and used it as a leave-in last night for my airdrying session! LOVE IT!! Finally, I found a leave-in that doesn't weigh my hair down, leave it lifeless and limp, and give great shine, strength and durability.

I have Mega-Tek, but won't use it until my DC treatment in a few days. But, so far, the Avocado Mist is awesome! Love it! I'll report back after I try the Mega-Tek.
http://eqyss-online.stores.yahoo.net/index.html

I just brought in a big gym bag of products that I am donating to the ladies who workout with me down in the gym. I'll let them pick out what they want. I'm happy because I think I've finally found products that work for me! :yay::yay::yay::yay::yay:[/QUOTE]

Hey Serenity. Thanks for the shout. I am so happy you found a product that works for you.

Hits!:D :

Lekair Cholesterol Plus as a pre-poo! Excellent moisture
Luster's Pink Hot oil Treatment-This stuff was THICK like castor oil and it really laid my hair down. I really enjoyed it and I mixed it with my DC Great stuff.

I like I think, But I need to use again:look::

ORS Replenishing Pak. Nice slip, but I think it would be too much protein for the long run. Also not as much slip as motions moisture plus. I think I will stick with the motions.
Africa's Best Organics Liquid Mayo Leave-in. It gave my hair a nice gooey texture for excellent slip, but it made it feel a little rigid. maybe too much protein. I willt ry it again, because I don't know if it was the ORS pak, or the product I am reviewing below.
Just For Me Detangler. Good stuff and it really did help with detangling, but my hair felt kind of rigid. I don't know if it was the Africa's Best or this, so I will use one without the other next weekend.

Wait, I don't get it. How am I supposed to say what worked for June when it's the first day and I haven't even had time to try something out long enough to prove it's effectiveness.

...Gloom is confused. LOL!

If I used it in april I posted in the may thread. If I used it in may posted in the june one. Sometimes we post 'Early HITS' or stuff we're gonna try this month, but usually the raves are about stuff we started using a few weeks ago (i.e., in may). Like Eqyss Avocado Mist :yay: ahem... HTH

Me, too.
And I forgot to add this revisited hit:
Aphogee 2 min Keratin Reconstructor - forgot how great this was!! Will be keeping this in stock from now on. The new Aphogee packaging still freaks me out. I always think it's some knockoff brand when I see it in Sally's.

Redken All Soft Silk Fuel - this stuff works great! It really does soften your hair. Nice and silky!

MISS
MBP Reconstructor Capilar Aceite de Oliva plus - supposed to be a post relaxer treatment to nourish hair and whatnot. If it did that, I don't know but it surely made my hair feel like broom straw. I can not use this again.

Hit: Aveda USC - very nice, smells good and moisturizing. A staple for me!!!
Amla Oil - Used it once overnight and the next day....amazing softness! Can I say....keeper?

Need to try: AVEDA EVERYTHING!!!

Misses: None as yet!

Now, try mixing that Aveda USC with a lil Brilliant Serum...:lick: I just put some on my hair tonight after getting it flat iron and I can't keep my fingers out. I will try to take a picture tomorrow to post my one year progress.

HIT: My beautician! She tamed my 10 week new growth and didn't complain ONE time about me needing a relaxer! I just love her.
OT: Your new siggy picture is beautiful.
