My Mega-Tek? That CONTINUES to be a staple in my regimen! I figured you ladies got tired of me raving about it month and after month! :lick: Almost time to order another gallon!

Girl, have you tried the avocado mist? A friend let me "borrow" it. Today I told her I'd replace it. She's NOT getting this back. :nono: She's gonna bring me some rehydrant spray and premier conditioner tomorrow. This is the closest I've been to having one product line. I don't even like spray moisturizers.

Early HIT: Eqyss Avocado mist.

My hit for June was a hot oil treatment as a prepoo on 12 wks ng. I used sweet almond oil, jojoba oil and coconut oil. Put my hair in 4 braids, covered with a plastic cap and under the dryer I went. Boy did this make a easy comb out. Thanks ladies for that tip!

Hit: Motions Heat-Seeking Spray
On the fence: Motions Serum, not sure if i like the way this makes my hair feel.

I cornrowed my hair yesterday.

My Hit is Cream of NAture Tea Tree & Aloe Cream hairdress.
Hy hair is loving this moisturizer.

WGO has also been a hit for me. It makes my airdried hair very soft.

Silicon Mix - LOVE IT!!!
Capilo Milk & Honey Shampoo
Capilo Milk & Honey Rinse
Dabur Amla Oil Lite

Trying Soon: Capilo Milk & Honey Conditioner

ETA: I tried the Capilo Milk & Honey conditioner and it worked well, but not as well as Silicon Mix! I love that stuff! :)

Misses
Carol's Daughter Hair Milk
This stuff did absolutely NOTHING for my hair, so I sent it back to Sephora. It didn't moisturize at all. It basically just sort of sat on my hair. It had to go. I won't be purchasing that ever again. :nono:

AVEDA, AVEDA, AVEDA!!!!! http://www.aveda.com/templates/products2/mpp.tmpl?CATEGORY_ID=CATEGORY9515

Finally, I found a line for my hair that works FOR, not against, my hair!! :dance7:

The entire Damage Remedy line is great, along with the Brilliant line for moisture (Univeral Styling Creme) and shine (Emollient Finishing Gloss). I'd like to try more Brilliant products like the pomade but I want to get reviews from you ladies, first. I'm also interested in the Smooth Infusion line, but the ladies at the Aveda Institute suggested DR line over SI.

Also, thanks to Ms. Jadu , I purchased the Avocado Mist from Egyss and used it as a leave-in last night for my airdrying session! LOVE IT!! Finally, I found a leave-in that doesn't weigh my hair down, leave it lifeless and limp, and give great shine, strength and durability.

I have Mega-Tek, but won't use it until my DC treatment in a few days. But, so far, the Avocado Mist is awesome! Love it! I'll report back after I try the Mega-Tek.

I just brought in a big gym bag of products that I am donating to the ladies who workout with me down in the gym. I'll let them pick out what they want. I'm happy because I think I've finally found products that work for me! :yay::yay::yay::yay::yay:

Isn't Avocado Mist DA TRUTH!!! I love it! The only thing I can use as a leave-in. It's definitely a hit. Please report back on the rehydrant spray, conditioner and there's also a creme as well. I want to know how they work for you.

I am so excited about trying Mega-Tek this weekend. I also love the rave reviews that these products from Eqyss are receiving.

This is exciting, ya'll!! ;)

What is a ponytail rollerset/roller wrapping? Is there a tutorial for this anywhere?

HIT:

Scunci MagicBun - I ordered 4 from www.walgreens.com and have used one on my daughters midback relaxed hair the last 2 days - she loves it and it keeps her hair up in a protective style...I do let just a little bit hang out and oil it well. I have not tried it on my hair yet.

Hits: Vatika Oil!

Misses: ORS Olive Oil Lotion - it does absolutely nothing for my hair no matter how much or how little I use! I just don't like it.

Does this count? I tried it last night:
HIT:
Mizani Thermasmooth Serum.

Yall don't want to know how much it cost :perplexed :look:

But, my heat protectant/leave in combo just stopped working for me. Everything seemed too heavy after my last protein treatment. I am not sure what happened. My hair felt coated and nasty.

I have had no luck in finding something to replace these. I tried MANY things.

So I broke down and got the Thermasmooth serum. It is actually a cream.

I put my fermodyl 619 on then the thermasmooth and airdried. My hair was very soft and straighter! I love it. It flatironed like a breeze.

I am going to try it with a rollerset this weekend. I really like Mizani products. If I had to choose one line for everything (and won the lottery at the same time :) ), I would go for Mizani.

Hit: Aveda USC - very nice, smells good and moisterizing. A staple for me!!!
Amla Oil - Used it once overnight and the next day....amazing softness! Can I say....keeper?

Need to try: AVEDA EVERYTHING!!!

Misses: None as yet!

Early HIT: Eqyss Avocado mist.

Uh-oh, Eqyss in the house!!! :bouncy: I've not used anything by them that I didn't like!! My faves are the

  • Mega-Tek Rebuilder
  • Rehydrant Spray
  • Premier Poo
  • SURVIVOR SUPER EQUINE DETANGLER SHINE (this stuff ROCKS!!!

Ok, that's the end of my commercial (it's a rerun but I love this stuff!!) The avocado mist was pretty good but I liked the rehydrant spray better when used with the Survivor detangler.

Hit
Self done braids - $200 extra in my pocket for doing them myself and at least 6 weeks of a no manipulation protective style.

Oh man I've been sleeping on my products this month,... :sekret: oh wait we're only one day into the month.
Well so far
Hits: Smooth and shine one minute treatment. It was like a .99 little pack, but it was great on my hair after I had put in a black rinse.

*As always my devacurl(each day gets better)
*Fantasia IC gel, I got the best wash and go with this stuff, and my cd's hairmilk ( but can't post the pics until after I'm done hiding my hair)
* protective styles(I know it's not a product) But my hair is already growing better, since I'm at that crucial shoulder length with my curly hair. I'm Retaining!

Misses: None yet.. but the month is still young

Damn I wish I could do that. I tried to do twists, they aint work out at all.:ohwell: The girl at the shop said 270 dollars :(

Hits: Garnier Fructis Curl and Shine shampoo, conditioner, and especially the leave-in!!! This is the first time I've EVER found a shampoo that really gives that infamous slip yall are always talkin about

Also, big ups to BT...I henna'd my hair a coupla days ago and added a bunch of amla powder to the mix...My hair is the most BEAUTIFUL dark brown ever, and it's shiny!!! :drunk: So, I'm gonna make amla powder a hit for this month as well!

Waiting on my Theratin and Humectin from that Raf's sale....Humectress seems to be hit or miss for me, depending on what I do to my hair (after henna, it did NOTHING....but after a regular shampoo and condish, it makes my hair buttery and so easy to detangle...:ohwell: go figure)...Hoping Theratin and Humectin are big hits!

Miss: Amla oil. :perplexed I dunno, after finally using the powder, the oil just ain't gettin for me anymore :ohwell: I got a full bottle and about 1/7th of a bottle left, so I'm gonna use that up and never repurchase :nono: I'm sticking with the powder from now on!
