I was asked to be a hair model and agreed. But, when I went to actually sign the contract, I declined. Your hair is at the mercy of the stylist. Which means they can do whatever they want with your hair. Is is for a hair show or demonstration? This would be key info to know. Because if it is for demos then you may be okay because it is usually a highly skilled stylist who performs demos. But if it is for a hair show, they do hairstyles and demos for "shock" value. Meaning that they may take someone with long hair and cut it short or do some type of drastic color change. So, if you decide to do it make sure its something that you want to do. And ask plenty of questions.
It would depend on the job and the pay. If it's just a one-time modeling gig for some change, then no way. But if it was an ongoing deal where I was going to be doing ads and commercials and product wrappers and be paid accordingly, then I'd do it.
I'm a hair model, I normally get sew ins, so they want touch my real hair, because for hair magazines and hair shows they do alot to your hair, flat iron, curling, cutting, and etc. So I get sew ins done so my real hair want take the abuse.
I haven't did any hair modeling this year...
Type Of Work:Hair Shows,Hair magazines:Universal Salon,Hype Hair,Black Hair,etc
P.S. when I go to auditions, if they mention coloring and cutting of my real hair, I run for my life
i'd do it.
i'm young.
