With the "oh this is soo degrading" talk... We's black women... Can't be doin that...

ALL kinds of people have been objectified and stigmatized... Sexually oppressed...(men AND women) It's your job to make your way in the world and be above that.

We throw around "nappy" "kinky" and these are former words of shame yet we embrace it...

I am in full control of my sexuality. I can make it what I want, the women before me have saw to that. Porn is a part of society it's not going to dictate my behavior. Slinging words don't indicate a woman makes bad moral choices, she may just be having a good time making light. I wish we would understand we're so busy analyzing the "outside" factors we cannot see the weakness within. Porn is the least of black women's problems IMO.

Since when was it right to be-litte, demean and insult one another? Some of you have been soso rude and disrespectful to the OP, mocking her views and her opinion. I thought we came on this forum for solace and encouragement? The OP stated she didn't want to cause any offence and if she wanted to refer to the scripture then so be it.
I thought we were here cause we were all aiming for the common goal of healthy/long hair. We come here (well I do) as we've been scorned by other women in our society so we seek positive women to encourage us.
I fall out of love with this forum a little more every day.

DanceOnTheSkylines, Louisex3: you can't expect everyone to express themselves in the same way. we're all from different cultures and generations. everyone will show up different. some do talk w/ silly gifs (although my gifs are meaningful and deep). some excerpt from their thesis in progress; whatever, it's all good and must all be expected on a public forum. no one's been b!tched out, called names etc. don't make it worse than it is and certainly don't side-eye the entire forum because people don't agree w/ you and show it.

@Errybody Up In Here: For those who prefer hair candy (which for obvious i am a hardcore xXx p0rn lover does NOT have the same ring for me) then start using it. there's a recent porn thread on the board, and i'm pretty certain DrC is not going to change the title for you so create your own hair candy thread. post to it religiously to keep it bumped.

YOU (the general you) have the power to change the culture of LHCF. newbies will eventually realize that on LHCF the popular thing is 'hair candy' and regardless of their personal opinions they'll start posting their own and using that term. eazy peazy.

but don't question the relative morality of those of us who have no issues w/ hair porn. please. we're grown women. sorry i didn't grow up in your house or go to your school or partake in whatever makes you YOU but in my world feminists took back the word porn a looong time ago so its mere utterance does not cause me pain nor does it dredge up horrible images that make me call on any deity.
