Mine changes pretty radically every 3-4 months. Like, I've added henna treatments, dropped growth aids, added daily scalp massages, etc. Sometimes I think it's good to re-assess my regimen. Other times I think I should just leave well enough alone. How about you guys, how often do you change your regimen?

ETA: I think we know which one I picked.

I prefer mine not to change that much. If I try something new like the protein pre-poo I learned here a few months ago from Macherieamour, and it really benefits my hair, I'll add it to my regimen. I'll try a new product from time to time and will add it only if it improves my regimen and my hair.

i voted blue. i really only add or take away things when my hair is having problems. other than that it tends to stay pretty much the same. :)

I'm a creature of habit...it took me about a month to establish a routine when I first joined and I've been sticking to it every since....now I admit I have been trying different products (PJ'ism :look: ) but using them all within my established routine.

I change it every once in a while slightly. Like I will add in a scalp oil massage twice a week or something. I tend to keep the same regimen as my schedule allows. I will add a spray or oil here or there if its needed but the core remains the same.

Well I just got my regimen together and it took months to get it right so I'm going to stick with it and not change it unless some special need comes up especially since so many ladies here says that being consistant is a big key to getting to your hair goals.

Newbie, so I've bought and had previously quite a few products. I am finding that Shamboosie's book has some great info, some I'll use, some not. I am not switching to KERACARE, Dudleys or NEXXUS as yet. I'll continue to use what I have then see how it works. My relaxer is Creme of Nature so I'm going to add the shampoo and conditioner. I'll still use my ORS Olive oil, Miss Key and KUZ though. I love my Fructis but I'll try a month of C.O.N. to see the effect. Also noticed that some here with beautiful growth use a variety; I think the best thing is attention and consistency.

Whoa I wish I was like you- I'm such a PJ it's not even funny. The money I save on hairdressers I spend on hair products. ORs olive oil is the truth.

Since starting my regimen Dec 2005. I have stayed with it because my hair is growing and is healthy. I do not see myself changing my regimen in the future either because it's working for me. :)

My regimen pretty much stays the same. Occasionally I will add a new vitamin or other product to my regimen, if I see that it is consistently getting rave reviews on the board. But the basic regimen remains the same.

I change it occasionly, if I have problems with the current one.
A few months ago I started shampooing again as CO washing alone wasn't working very well.
I'm planning to add more protein treatments into it now some of my hair is bleached.

Well my first 5 months on LHCF I was trying different things to see what would be right fo rmy hair. Now I've simplified my regimen and I don't think I'll change it anytime soon. I like the way it is now and I can really track my growth!!!!!

I just joined a no new products challenge. But somehow I don't think that's going to stop me from changing my regimen. Because I change more than just products.

I think it was May or maybe April when I started washing using Robins' method. Then in June I started only detangling once/week (but I kinda had too, NG was kicking my butt). Then I started doing rinses. Before that I added pre-poos with Aveda (MizaniMami you started that one). :wink2: Then there were scalp massages. Now, I'm trimming by the lunar calendar. See what I mean??

So I have my basics (moisture, clarifying, protein, acidifying). Those have remained consistent since I started, but I add to it all the time.

Hehe, the PJ was already in you it took soemthing to bring it out.

But seriously I know what you're saying now. I added ACV rinses a while ago and I know it will be something else. Shoot, I ain't worried as long as I am beating the breakage monster.

My actual regimen stays the same. I just rotate my products a lot!

Me too! My core routine remains the same, pre-poos, shampooing, clarifying when needed, conditioning, moisturizing and sealing with oil. I just add a few "specialists" as I learn about them, such as henna, ACV rinses, Maxigliding and any new products I wanna to try.

My regimen stays the same...I may add a new oil or serum, but my styling techniques never change. I don't like surprises...

I haven't been able to figure a steady regimen. I sometimes shampoo on a whim. I don't always deep-condition under the dryer. I can't even tell u the last time I did a hot oil or protein treatment. I need to get a strict regimen. The funny part, my hair doesn't seem to be suffering too much from it.

I had a set regime for a while like over a year then 3-4 months ago I changed products, vitamins then simplified to waht I have now, I like having a set regime and just follow it consistently.

Exactly --- I change about every 3-4 months as well. I am one of those that reaches a goal and starts a new approach towards the next goal. Sometimes my goal is length, sometimes my goal is strength, sometimes my goal is more protein over a period of time or more moisture over a period of time so that is why my regimen changes. January 2007 starting a regimen change for midback (beyond bra strap length).

I had two regimes, one for when wearing hair in wet styles and on for dry. But I'm cutting the wet styles out (almost) because my hair responds better when dry.

But I will try new things that sound like it would work for me.

I had a set regimen until I had my baby, and the dreadful postpartum shedding started and is still going on. :cry3: :whyme: So.. as I freak out in the shower ocaasisonally from all the long hairs on the floor my regimen will be tweaked until I find something to permanately stop this crazy shedding.

i think i'm gonna have to say it's seasonal.

my scalp and ends stay pretty moisturized during the spring and summer months but i think i'm gonna have to add some kind of grease for the winter.

the dry atmospheres indoors, wind and cold weather outside is already starting to dry my scalp out and think i might need something a bit more heavy duty for the winter.

picked up a jar of good ole grease to keep on hand (it's over there, hanging on the wall, in the glass case marked: In case of emergency break glass!).

By the season....summer wash n goes 24/7... winter (now that my hair is longer) twists and puffs...bascially any style that doesnt require my hair to be wet when I leave home everyday.

My regimen pretty much stays the same in terms of what i do. Now i did add henna treatments in September but outside of that i only change conditioner or oils occassionally.
