My cousin told me that her stylist used Elucence products. So, I did a Google search on Elucence and discovered the LHCF. I have Elucence and several other products since finding this board.

Re: How did you find the LHCF Board in the 1st pla

I got here by way of the old board as well (ethnic section of Longhairlovers.com). I found that one while searching for black hair care.

Re: How did you find the LHCF Board in the 1st pla

I posted a question about blk hair care on makeupalley.com and since no one could help, one of the ladies directed me over here.

[/ QUOTE ] Ditto. Haven't gone back to that board since.

Long hair care forum was the first hair board I ever joined. I found this site when I was looking for natural ways to texturize my nappy hair. I typed in texturizer and black hair and I found this site after scrolling through a couple of pages.

I was looking for a way to naturally

texturize

my hair because I thought that loosening my napps would give my dry crispy hair an easier comb through. A couple of months after I joined the board I saw Den1's hair and I realized that a texturizer was not necessary. I used a few of the products that were recommended here on the board and I did the big chop #2.

I had been natural for a long while before I found hair boards but I still struggled with the health of my hair.

Now I am an anti-relaxer hair board addict.

The best decision I ever made was to stay happy & nappy!

Re: How did you find the LHCF Board in the 1st pla

I found this website when someone mentioned it from another hair board.

Re: How did you find the LHCF Board in the 1st pla

i knew this site when it was a multicultural hair board (and not as nice as this setup) around jan. 2002 (with londondiva, jade21, pityparty and one or two others) with nc.com and the (then fledging)nappturality board. This year though, i'm trying to curtail my board internet addiction (and finish my novel!)so i'm sticking with this board to keep me focused on my hair needs for now.

yours

Re: How did you find the LHCF Board in the 1st pla

I was a member of longhairlovers when everybody was on the multi-ethnic section. I then decided to go natural and headed to naturallycurly.com before there was nappturality. Once my hair got longer I went back to longhairlovers but everyone was gone, so I went to BHSGO and found out it was disbanded and kind of found my way over hair (hee hee get it

Thats the same board I was on.

Well, I always wanted long hair. Not passionately, just a wistful once in awhile "wouldn't it be nice if". Well one day for some reason I decided to do some research on the net on haircare. I found relaxed hair care at ezboard and joined up. After I had been there for a few weeks, someone posted a link about one of the ezboard members, NAY007, to tell her and the board that the LHCF board members were discussing how great NAY007s hair is. I clicked on the link, read the thread and browsed the site. Soon after I (and NAY007) became members of the LHCF!

It is weird...I didn't like this board at first;I found it seemed too large and like there was sooo much information it overwhelmed me, so even though I knew it existed I stuck to the smaller Relaxed Hair board.I finally got to the point where I found that board was not active enough for my liking and I got through reading every single page so what more was there to do but join LHCF.I still visit Relaxed Hair board from time to time but here is "home"

I read in Essence that it was good to treat your new growth w/castor oil for 2 weeks before a relaxer, but it always made my scalp itchy. I did a Google search to see if other women were doing this. One of the search suggestions led me to Peachtree's Member of the Month page. I read and was INSTANTLY hooked!

I truly consider finding this site one of the best things that happened to me this year. If I hadn't done that random search, I would have no clue that such a resource existed--and from now seeing other "comparable" (not really

) sites and reading other members' comments, I'm glad I found this one first! I love the camaraderie and wealth of information here. And I find such bliss in knowing that there are others in the world who are committed to having healthy hair; do some degree of self-maintanence; and love buying products for their hair! (although, I've come to learn through LHCF there are some MUCH more PJ-like than myself!)

This is so true! The support here is amazing and inspiring! and I was soooo excited once I joined to see all the other boards that exist! If you lurk you don't get alll the wonderful extras!!!

I did a random search "healthy haircare" and Brownrelaxhair came up and that all I needed to see.

I can't remember if I did a search or clicked on a link from somewhere...all I know is that I am glad I found this place! I've learned a lot. A search here is PRICELESS!

A member at another hair board recommended LHCF to me. I haven't been to this "other" hair board since

I made the decision to take better care of my hair since it began to grow out so long and healthy. I have been reading books and searching the web for info and tips and I came across you guys. I have been hooked ever since!

While doing a search on hair, I found it and I have been addicted ever since. I have learned so much from unselfishness of the members here who are willing to share their tricks of the trade.

I lurked in the Relaxed Hair Care group and people kept on talking about this site but it took me a long time find it because I wasn't typing in the web address correctly. :-)

I found this site by searching on msn. I wasz doing different searches on hair and I came upon this site.

I was a member of the General Relaxed Hair Care Forum and many people were mentioning the LHCF. After I found out what that was, I stumbled across this board. I think it was fate

I was a member of the Wendy Williams World message board and somene had asked a question about hair health and adrienne was a member and she answered by saying to come to this forum for answers.
