Whats so funny? I got the attacking notion from u...u kept using what I say against me and saying most of the things I post are negative. THERE'S NOTHING WRONG WITH VENTING ON A FORUM! QUIT BEING PICKY ABOUT MY POSTS!!!

And dont u think I heard that a thousand times about hair texture being different when getting older? i do not care! Are u trying to say my texture will be worse when I get older? I will still take good care of my hair no matter what.
I thought naturals were suppose to be helpful to those transitioning...I should stay relaxed just because of u...

this would be no different than a natural saying " i just looked at a bunch of relaxed albums and i hated how it looked" all of those that relax would be questioning if it was them you were talking about....and then if they gave a list of reasons why like they hate straight hair , it looked like it was unhealthy , unatural etc (just to chime in with the negatives you said about natural hair)....how many that relax their hair wouldnt be defensive?

its sounds like you dont like the 4 texture , tightly coiled hair especially if its short....well thats a whole group of ladies here. so basically you were insulting their hair. you have the right to not like what you dont like...all im saying is who wants to hear that you dont like a whole group of ladies hair type...and doing the big chop is actuallly very freeing for them and another thing they embrace with enough negative from outside sources than to hear it here....be mindfull of others feelings , thats all....you dont have to like it...you dont like it dont do it...but who wanted to hear all that about what you think of the ladies hair that did the big chop? or have tighly coiled hair? btw maybe , just maybe Sherrylove would be happy doing the big chop and it wouldnt be a bad thing to her..after all she is the one that said she wanted to do it

I have run into positive and negative comments about transitioning, I know how that feels, but we shouldn't let situations like these erupt into arguments.

I can see where you're coming from, Poohbear -- I also see where others are coming from. Some may have felt offended by the first post about some albums having unattractive hair --- alot of naturals sport that same hair.
I also gather from all of your posts that you are looking for length and have posted several natural long hair inspirations that you admire (aside from Aaliyah). Stick to those, and there are other naturals on here that I'm sure you've already noticed like --- SVT, Maestradiva, Irresistible, Nay, Babyblue, and a bunch of others. Some of these naturals have even transitioned for years.

I said that to get on gabrielle about how she has been posting in my thread. What do u think about what she has been saying? I cant help that I dont like all the natural albums I see. I thought venting no matter if it is positive or negative was ok. I even said I hope I didnt offend anyone. Now it would be a different story if I posted certain albums that I saw that I didnt like and that would be wrong.

As for that statement, I don't see it as negative. It' the TRUTH...point blank. Hair texture DOES change for some people...that's just a fact of life.

If you choose to go natural, GREAT...if not, GREAT!

Not to be cruel, but from reading your posts in this thread Poohbear, I seriously don't think that you are ready to go natural. I just don't. Going natural requires a mental transition as well as a physical transition. From reading various posts that you've made and threads that you've started on this board, you aren't ready yet. JMO...

I just won't vent anymore, or very well post anything anymore. I posted this thread about 3 days ago so Im not worried about it. I apologize to the naturals who have been offended by the first comment in my thread. I tried to explain everything but I guess it just didnt work...just like in other threads, no one ever listens to me

(Im saying this in reference to no one listening to me saying I do not intend to be mean, rude, forceful, or demanding when I post...Im just trying to get advice, give advice, and vent my thoughts).

Its not that serious. i posted this three days ago. Im not worried about going natural anymore. Im fine. Ive just been frusterated by a few comments said to me...but I think its due to what Irresistible said about people being offended by what I have said...

I know this texture statement is true but she didnt say it in the right way. She said it in a way that my hair is gonna turn out a bad texture when natural. Didnt u see all the

I already know this statement is true. Why do I need it reiterated to me like Im not gonna have nice texture when Im older. I dont care. Im still gonna take care of it whether its type 4a/4b, coily, wavy, or whatever. And its not gonna look like the hair of people I dislike and not even like the ones I did like...its gonna be my own hair

That's no different than real life. On discussion boards, ANYTHING that you post is fair game because you "said" it and there is PROOF that you said it. Just like off the forum, anything that you say and do are fair game if you said/did it. Therefore, once it leaves your personal realm and becomes public, you open yourself up to the scrutiny, misinterpretation, etc.

i will say..that yes..it was offensive of what you posted. was I offended? not necessarily because i have thick skin when it comes to my hair because i did this alone. but i was more taken aback about the help/questions that were asked..it was offered..but seemingly looked down upon.

I can relate to what you are saying. I think(I ahve not read the entire thread) but I cna also relate to Gabrille. I ahve a friend that went natural and I was transitioning along with her but I never coudl make it because i am so impatient and I am worried about my hair looking dry and "unkept" but my time on this board has sown me that long relaxed hair, short natural hair, medium lenght natural hair, short relaxed hair, it can all be beautiful. My girl is not a 3c and she is natural and her hair is gorgeous! I love to see thick healthy natural hair. We were not all born with curly q's like some of the pictures we see here some of us are 4a and 4b and guess what I ahve learned that 4a and 4b hair is just as beautiful. If you do nto want short dry hair take care of it so it is short and moistiruzed....the ladies here have proved a sista can truly rock a BC!! And do it well...me and my hair obsessed self ALMOST did my own BC last night...instead I created me a puff so I look natural....But anyways I hoep something that I said can help. If you need to vent shoot me a PM. I understand what you are trying to say and I will not be offended as some of the memebers may be. It is not that they are negative but I cna understand naturals getting frustrated when it appears that someone does not realize that natural, no matter what texture, is beautiful too.

Now there is a difference in real life and this forum. On the forum, you can't really tell anyone's feelings or what they mean when they are typing something. You cant see facial expressions or hear their tone of voice. I know Im really dramatic on this forum because of all the options of graemlins, UBB codes, and etc. that I can use. I just get a little happy with them.

For example, just like some people who have been interpreting me as posting rudely or demanding when in fact that wasnt my intention at all...

She was texturized. But I don't think she's retexturized in about two years. I think 2002 was the last time.

Well it hasnt been that long since my last relaxer which was April 27th, 2004. So right now, Im just letting it grow. Ive been alternating between the ponytail method and rollersets every week. Next month, Im getting two extension cornrows with kanekalon hair as a protective style for June and maybe July, so I dont be fooling with combing my hair. I plan on redoing them every 2-3 weeks, depending on my hair growth.

I agree Bobbie. And truthfully I did feel offended just a bit when she was refering to the BC albums. Because I did a BC and I hope that she wasnt referring to my album

Not saying that she was but since I big chopped I would immediately assume that maybe I was one of the albums that she was talking about. But anyway I dont take things to seriously anyway and I try not to get offensive. Its her opinion like she said and I cant expect everyone to like my hair

Yes it would be best for her to stick to longhaired natural albums since she seems to get inspired by those

Okay yall thats my girl and I talk to her...and actually that fake puff is the same length as her regular puff....she used it as a protective style/for humidity so she wouldnt have to keep manipulating her hair from her regular puff so um yeah lay off
