Dear Vendor(s):

^^^Yup, that was terrible...just nasty.

I was really speaking on SD CS. When I said that I would keep buying from her is because of her CS and her not having high as heck prices. I really don't know much about preservatives and would have to do more research than the links provided.

I would patronize Soultanicals again. Not out of necessity, but but because I want to support a black owned business if I have the option. But that doesn't mean I'm out here excited to give my money away. I still expect you to behave like a business, not my girl from down the street that just happened to open a hair business. I deserve professionalism. A lot of small hair compaines dont have that. People put up with it and we really shouldn't. If Ulta ever sent a snarky email or engaged their customers in disagreements on facebook, I would question how much I need them...which is not at all. I havent had horrible customer service from any particular vendor. And I dont purchase products often enough to justify continuing a rocky relationship. I only order 3 to 5 times a year at most from different people. But it should nevef be a gamble to reach out to a vendor, not knowing if you'll get a snarky, insincere, wolf in sheeps clothing type of response

Yep. That was the email that made me vow to never ever order from her again. I did not need to know that she has five children or any other details of her life. She got me twice with the slow shipping but the email was the icing in the cake. As much as I loved the mango dip detangling slip I shall never use it again.

I thought this thread was supposed to be a light hearted thread where we post things we would like our vendors to do. I thought this was more of a funny thread not a get on your soap opera box and complain about certain vendors. This has gone from a light hearted fun thread to a vendor bashing thread. This says Dear Vendor not Dear Abby. So can we leave the vendors names out this and stick with the anonymous Dear Vendor title.

Can someone post this email or letter soultanicals sent about her insulting customers?

iVR And who are you? I see you just joined back in July, so are you one of those "lurkers/spys" from of these vendors people are having issues with?

For someone who hasn't been here long, you have some nerve to tell people what not to say.

Hey girl,

I don't think this thread was created for light hearted fun. Yes there are some things that are funny however, I believe it was created not only to vent about our vendor issues but a possible way to get and make a change if we can. There are some serious issues and some not so serious but never the less they are in fact issues these ladies want to see done differently. If inquiring minds want to know who and someone is willing to tell then so be it. And some vendors have seen the thread and approached it their own way.

Um No.

why are you trying to give this thread rules? People can share whatever they want about the vendors so as to help the rest of us. If it bothers you can you always back out and make your own :yep:

For those who were curious like me about that soultanicals email she was sing on her small violin :violin: I found the email from this thread:

http://www.longhaircareforum.com/showthread.php?p=18298457#post18298457

Did anyone get the new email? I don't think this was a good idea... :perplexed

I'll copy and paste it here:

"Our days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind."

Greetings Beautifuls,

As the week comes to a close, I'd like to take the opportunity to thank you again, Soultanical's loyal supporters, for your continued commitment to experiencing the difference with our self-love goodies and creations.

I've learned a lot from your feedback this month, and from the countless love that you have shown in the midst of it all. I've learned that ALOT of you are beautiful and gracious spirits who reciprocated the love in my quest to show my appreciation. For this, I am VERY grateful! I've also learned that no matter how much positivity and love that is put out in the atmosphere, there will be those who will not reciprocate. As we ALL move through this journey in life, we should always be teachable and learning. Mistakes happen-in our personal lives and in business. The way to correction is through acknowledgment. I value this time as a teachable moment and will never take my eyes off of the final vision.

I've also learned that no matter how many times one apologizes, make amends and keep it positive, there will be those who will continue to harbor discontent and relentless grudge. The only thing I can do is to continue to radiate good intention and love out into the world, hope for the growth in all of us and love above it all.

Being a Wife/Mompreneur of 5 is not an easy task but what keeps me going is the thank you's and the appreciation from my supporters who believes in my vision and wish to see me succeed. There is no looking back now! Success and Sacrifice goes hand in hand.....and a Sacrifice it is. As I hear your beautiful and thoughtful testimonies, it is of great joy to me to know that I am doing something to make a difference and to be a part of your lives. For this reason alone it keeps me going because you are worth it. :)

It is my hope that my products will continue to show up as purposeful goodness in your lives. In the same light, If this brand no longer serves you, I support you doing what makes you look and feel your best!

Thank you for taking the time out to read this note. I appreciate you...now mixing time for me... :)

Peace & Blessings! Love & light! Sending Joy & Abundance your way! :)

Soulffirmation of the Day: Compassion is the pre-cursor to forgiveness. Without compassion there will always be judgments, which obstruct mental and emotional energy and faculties.

Quote of the Day: "The greatest gift anyone can give is LOVE, The most unselfish act to share is FORGIVENESS, The strongest kind of compassion is KINDNESS."

There is so much condescension in that letter.

Thank you for the clarification. :)

For the other two, your nasty grams were not required. And as a younger person trying to expand my knowledge and using my own money and not my parents money for my membership, you guys are great examples on how to be rude and inconsiderate.

Yes ma'am I posted a picture of the email upthread.

It was a bad idea. It was the straw that broke the camels back for me. Coupled with all of the other problems and emails this was what did it.

I can't see any mentions on my IPhone. PM me if it is a must see. Allons y

Now why on earth would I want people to post about bad customer service and bad experiences and not name names? I want to know exactly what I'm dealing with, the good and the bad. I am PAYING for these products, they are not free. I as the consumer have the right to make an informed decision. And, let's not act like there aren't positive reviews/experiences posted for these vendors as well.

This is a light hearted thread :look:

People have given their opinions/experiences in a constructive manner. You can't call a whole collective of negative experiences bashing.

If 10 people got s****y service from a mechanic, but decided it's not "NICE" to say the name of that mechanic, so they don't hurt nobody's feelings....how does that help me avoid that bad customer service.

Plenty of people have said bad CS be darned, I will patronize whatever vendor I want.

And for that reason, I will name whatever name I feel like :yep:

Have a nice day!

There are more than enough black-owned businesses with great products and great customer service. That they are black owned is the fantastic icing on the cake. That is the way it should be and those are the businesses I patronize.

Okay now let me address this letter...what in the what!?! Is wrong with this woman? So she can be apart of "OUR" lives? Seriously this is a joke right? Why on earth would she think these remarks of her assuming she is superior to the rest be okay! SMDH.....

ETA- and I "just" ordered from them Ummm 2 months ago! Sarcasm since it took forever and a day to get my products.

How about no?

I wish somebody would have named some names before I dropped $100+ with a vendor with a track record of out of pocketness.

It's not vendor bashing if the vendor actually did something wrong and people can post proof of it.

remember when i thought kbb was the best thing since sliced bread???? shoot i found several thangs better and cheaper since then lol.

I'll never forget hopping on the subway and trekking to Clinton Hill to visit the now defunct KBB shop. There were some service changes that threw me all off and I ended up getting off at Bed Stuy by mistake. That was interesting. I picked up a few items at the store but found that her products were too heavy for my hair and WAY too strongly-scented - this was back when they had 50-11 scent choices for each product.

I will say that their new sleek black product packaging is very nice. :yep:

I wish I could use my parent's money to join this thread.

Anyway, Dear Vender, how about including some samples with my order? At least one or two maybe?

This would be very nice and greatly appreciated, especially if I'm placing a large order. It's a way of saying, "Thank you for your humongous order. Please, come again." The only vendors that have ever included samples and extras in my package are Shescentit, Hairveda, Claudie, Soultanicals and Curlmart (yes, I named names).

PJaye, YES! Now, I have never gotten a sample from SheScentIt, but Hairveda did hook me up the one time I ordered from her.

Kyra's Ultimate Indulgence used to do the same. Hydroquench really hooked me up with some FOUR OUNCE samples.

With my Labor Day Sale order from Marie Dean she included 3 nice-size samples of her leave-ins and DC. Guess what? The sample leave-in conditioner made my hair stand up and sing to the heavens! It immediately went on my BF list.

But lo and behold, she had a 31% FLASH sale Thursday and I was able to get what I wanted early (no waiting for BF unless she has a greater percentage off.)

So, some vendors know what's right and some don't.

Regarding Samples:
LACE Naturals
Brown Butter Beauty
Soultanicals
Hairitage Hydrations
AveYou
Hairveda
Claudie
Oyin
Shi-Naturals
Kizuri Beauty
Marie Dean
Koils By Nature
