Dear Vendor(s):

PJaye
With my Labor Day Sale order from Marie Dean she included 3 nice-size samples of her leave-ins and DC. Guess what? The sample leave-in conditioner made my hair stand up and sing to the heavens! It immediately went on my BF list.

But lo and behold, she had a 31% FLASH sale Thursday and I was able to get what I wanted early (no waiting for BF unless she has a greater percentage off.)

So, some vendors know what's right and some don't.

Oh I totally forgot about Marie Dean, who always includes at least two samples with every order. I really wish her products worked for my hair, I would still support her! *goes back to find something, something that will work from her line*

Regarding Samples:
LACE Naturals
Brown Butter Beauty
Soultanicals
Hairitage Hydrations
AveYou
Hairveda
Claudie
Oyin
Shi-Naturals
Kizuri Beauty
Marie Dean
Koils By Nature

Um, are these vendors that included samples??? Cuz.....

Right! Koils By Nature and Hairitage Hydration didn't send me a thing. And I've ordered from them multiple times. Hmph...

Aveyou too! All I got was that damn bag. I have so many of them.

Now I'm salty. I need my parent's money.

@HanaKuroi @NaturallyATLPCH

Samples are annoying most of the time (too small).

Or Shampoo Bars (which I don't use)

Marie Dean does include decent sized samples but she is one of the few.

There are several that offer decent sized samples.

KBN's 'sample' Butter (small jar) was responsible for making me order an 8oz Jar.

The only vendors that have ever included samples and extras in my package are Shescentit, Hairveda, Claudie, Soultanicals and Curlmart (yes, I named names).

Curlmart doesn't play when it comes to Samples. I ordered 2 items and had about 8 samples in the box, one of them was deluxe sized.

I have ordered from Hairveda a few times and not received a sample, but I like that she has some kind of buyer rewards program so I always get an extra discount of $5-$10 on top of any promotional codes. So I'm not that put out over it.

Crackers Phinn (and anyone else who can chime in), how is Hairveda's shipping now? I am going to place an order and haven't bought anything in over two years from her. The last time I ordered from her it took a month to get my things.

I've ordered 4 times since my first order in February and never had to wait more than 2 weeks for a shipping notice. I'm expecting for BF I may have to wait a little longer though, especially if the sale is as good as last years

Hairveda has given me a sample once of Avosoya oil. I've ordered twice. I loved the oil so much that I got a full sized bottle from a local retailer since I didn't wanna wait 3 weeks to get it. :look:

I would say her samples are deluxe-sized 'cause I was able to get two full uses out of each sample.....unlike the ketchup-packet sized samples other companies send. Not even enough for a whole head.

I had not ordered since 2011 from Marie Dean; she wasn't on my radar. But when that Labor Day Sale popped up, I decided to try some products I thought me and DH would like and was not disappointed. So give'em one more try. Glad I did.

I was looking for medium-heavy leave-ins (Winter's coming) and got:
Argan Oil Hair Creme (very moisturizing for me and DH; love. will re-up)
Herbal Henna Hair Buttercream (Ditto)
Yogurt Smoothy Cream (not heavy enough for me. Okay for DH)
Twist and Loc Moisturizing Cream (Have not tried yet)

I'm natural, 4CZ, fine, medium density
DH is 3ABC, thick, medium density

I agree Blue. MD is definitely in a class of her own. And her prices reflect that.

I love(d) all of her DC'ers and most of her Leave-Ins. And I'm relaxed.:yep:

They are definitely super 'dense' and they last a long time.

Even by me being Heavy-Handed they still last a long time.

I love that Cherry Balm (Pudding) that she sent as a sample and would definitely get a full size jar.

Tacky to the extreme! Whatever thoughts I entertained regarding purchasing from this company have become null and void. Time to cancel my email subscription. Out of all the cocknbull I've read, this underhanded snarkiness takes the cake. :nono:

Ugh with the pity stories. I so dislike that. Being a strong black woman is no easy task. Don't see me not being responsible.

I ordered the body polish during one of the Friday sales. Ordered on the 18th. No movement on tracking number I got Thursday.

*adds them to the never buy again list*

@IDareT'sHair He know that.....He smiled when I showed him your post....LOL.

I wish I had had enough time to peruse her site for other products/samples during the FLASH sale Thursday, but alas, I think I did enough damage. LOL...

I still can't believe I'm just about finished BF shopping before BF even gets here.

Pompous Blue

Girl, Yeah....He's our Honorary PJ!

So am I Ms. Blue (for the most part). Everything else will be just gravy.

There are a few I will continue to wait for to see what they offer:
b.a.s.k.
SSI
HV
Claudie

And I may do another quick AveYou Purchase too.

IDareT'sHair I may get something from Aveyou; if the sale is good.....IDK....I'm still mad they never had that 40% off sale they promised if they got enough votes to be in the running for Chase's $250K business grant last year. They got the votes but never had the sale and I plugged for them all over the place...And now they're asking for votes this year....Harrummpphh!!!!

Right IDareT'sHair - Marie Dean sent me several decent sized samples when I ordered from her last year. The samples were large enough to pass as a regular product.

Dear Vendor(s),

Please include the fragrance of your products on each product listing. Some of your potential customers have a sensitive nose!

In addition, please list all of the ingredients for each product on your website, so we don't get caught off guard upon receipt of your products.

Full disclosure has never hurt anybody!

^^^ Or, it's a rambled assortment of ingredients/key ingredients listed, where the purchaser has no idea what are the actual percentages of each item.

And Love! Ya'll Don't forget The Love!

PJaye MileHighDiva gorgeoushair

IDareT'sHair

In lieu of "Love!" will you let me know what's in it and what it smells like. I know ya'll be getting sick of me asking what everything smells like. It cracks me up when NappyRina be asking everbody for the full ingredient list from forum members because of her allergies.

Why are these vendors making it so hard for people to spend their :dollar::dollar::dollar: when they're jonesin' for a DC & LI fix? It does not make any sense...
