Dear Vendor(s):

I agree ^^^. I've wanted to try Bee Mine for quite some time now but not for those prices :look: I will probably continue to buy the black owned stuff I can get out of the store; it's better than nothing. CURLS and Shea Moisture are my two faves.

^^ That is such a great thing about this movement. There are now affordable black-owned lines in places like Target, Walmart, and Sally's.

yup when I first went natural none of that stuff was on the shelves and everything was laden with all types of chemicals now even the non-natural products are using better ingredients.

I do feel type bad for me its just another white company snatching up another black creative thing and turning profit on it. But whats a poor girl to do I really cant afford half of the stuff out here and I really don't have time for the nonsense

I need a happy medium I would just love a vendor that cared about the community and there bottom line at the same time. I doe realize that shea moisture does come close to this but for the life of me I don't know why I cant find one of there products that is good for me.

I get BeeMine from Sage. They have one price shipping so I often beat her prices and I get several other products in my order.

I never realized that some vendors make their products in their kitchens. I just assumed the vendors have a separate area to make their products.

HMMM......I need to rethink some of the vendors I purchase from.

I assume that every new juice and berries company is whipping up new product in somebody's kitchen right next to a pot of chitlins or in a sketchily cleaned bath tub.

Which is exactly why I wait on a few months worth of reviews before I place an order. Ain't nobody ever got to worry about me being the guinea pig for new products.

I set around waiting until what march? for qhemet to have there black Friday sale and all they did was put out 2 products at a time in a store in ATL and charged a arm in a leg for shipping.

they had people refreshing that site like crazy and calling trying to spend 22 on 8oz and 12 dollar shipping it was a hot mess I left it alone but I wondered why did WE keep them in business after that.

Very well said. You have some valid points. It's us who keep these folks in business. Qhemet is on my BF list. I want to give their products a try and finally see what is all the hoop n holla is about. I didn't know their CS was that horrible. If it's that bad, why would folks keep buying and waiting for their products? What makes their products so darn special/good? Guess I might not get to see what's all the hooping and the hollering is about these products cause "I AIN"T GOT TIME FOR ALLADAT!"...

Hi guys!

This is an interesting and informative thread.

Just wanted to pop in to clarify and establish a timeline as it appears that what Danniegirl said may have been misconstrued.

I looked back into the posts in the Qhemet thread in the vendors forum to verify and I did say in various ways in as early as September 2011 that a BF sale was contingent upon having the supply to meet demand. The products sold out quickly during the sale in August of 2011 and I didn't want that to happen again.

Order fulfillment was outsourced to Sage Naturalceuticals in December of 2011. I understand that Danniegirl was being facetious when she said that I only put out 2 products at a time to Sage but I also understand that not everyone got that so for clarification, large shipments (much more than 2 products at a time) were sent to Sage weekly during that time. :)

I'm not sure which sale Danniegirl is referring to when she referenced refreshing a site "and calling trying to spend 22 on 8oz and 12 dollar shipping" but it wasn't the Qhemet site as we weren't processing orders then. Sage had a Cyber Monday sale that included Qhemet products. One of the reasons I chose Sage during that time is because people raved about their customer service. It's not unusual for businesses to outsource order fulfillment when they don't have the resources to keep up with demand. Shea Moisture's website is currently closed and they're referring people to other sites to order their products.

Regarding the "waiting for their products?" comment, our order processing time has been 3-5 business days for a while and some orders are shipped the next day. That's about what I experience when I order from major online retailers.

Anyway, hope this helped put the events in context and clear up any confusion. :)

I post here in the vendors forum so please feel free to bring questions/concerns directly to me so that they can be accurately addressed. Thank you. :)

I'm not replacing anything...:look:

I mean listening to customer concerns IS good customer service...

I'm going to stroll over to the vendors forum...

There are some "kitchen companies" that are doing it right.

When my job relocated, the owner of a product you can buy from curlmart looked at our building. When she did the walk through, she said that she was working out of her home & had outgrown it & needed a commercial space.

Other vendors are reading this thread..Got a long email from Bella butters today, explaining in detail about BF/shipping/CS & when they are available to answer questions/with the times mention too...

Happy Hair Growing!

I am happy you are in this tread and although my post may have been a BIT exaggerated in regards to the Black friday 2011 sale "THAT NEVER WAS",the sentiments were very clear.

As you may be well aware your costumers do appreciate and love your products and your Customer Service is preferable to most. However I believe you as a vendor is very much guilty of some of the injustices and bad practices outlined in this thread including but not limited to overpricing of items and simply taking your customers for granted.

I could only wish at this point that you read all the post in this tread and will adjust things accordingly. I personally do look forward to a great Black Friday sale if there is one and i look forward to being able to buy more of your products.

Thats great can you give us something positive to look forward to

Please, don't stuff all of the products I ordered into a smaller box to save on the cost of shipping. FWIW, no box should ever be shaped like a hexagon.

I don't want this thread to die. It needs to stay on the first page until after black Friday.

I think we need a bit more then this thread to really shake up these vendors they will continue to come with excuses for there foul practices, outrageous pricing as lon as we ( the majority) are not speaking up about it.

Dear Product Junkies,
If I order a product today and receive it in 8 weeks AND I complain.. please allow me to vent. Don't send your angry mob at me. This is why I stopped ordering from Hairveda. Made me so angry :lol:

*I still like the products..Can find it at other locations now.

Happy Hair Growing!

Dear Vendor's-I understand your a small company or just starting out,Please, start training your staff NOW..This will help/avoid shipping/billing mishaps..During BF/Cyper Monday..

Happy Hair Growing!

Dear Small Business Owners/Vendors....please dont underestimate the greed of a customer. I dont know about anyone else, but I wouldn't mind a bottling party like Oyin has. It helps you guys get stuff packed and I get a chance to win a free product or a coupon. If Hairveda had the option , I would do it in a heartbeat

Dear Vendor,

Your hair must be on point for me to take your products seriously. Like any hairstylist out there, if your hair isn't right, I'm not buying what you're selling.

Dear Vendor:

Once you realize a group of Women like a certain product or products, please don't start Price Gauging and Price Yourself right out of the Market.:ohwell:

The more you increase the price (no matter how much we may love it), we will begin to stray and start looking for 'cheaper' alternatives.:look: *Trust Me*

When you have a Good thing, stick to it and be mindful of the prices you set, regardless of how much we may Ooooo and Aaahhh over it.:drunk:

We're really not that 'loyal' and will bounce if given the chance.

Dear Vender,

Please don't lurk the boards and see complaints about customer service and shipping, then use that opportunity to finally send me a shipping notice.
